So its back to the CotA + HotA one button action build for me QQ

But i managed to recored a full group t6 rift, so i have something at least to reminisce back to, which i may just as-well release:

My last full group recording of the stronk rend - t6 rift in under 3min and 30sec, no conduit @ http://youtu.be/An2HYtM2SNI

Although i find it pretty funny they choose to gimp rend back to it useless state, while other classes had no problems doing even 2times the EDPS, while only using 1 hand, with the monitor turned 90 degrees and humming to the A-team tune..

    * CM looks into barb forums, sees a 12 page long thread about barbs having fun*

CM#1 "Looks like we have a code 43 in progress!"

CM#2 "It can't be, we killed this WW/Rend spec. Unholy abomination! How is this possible?!?!"

CM#1 "I'm telling you there are genuine posts of delight and enjoyment in that thread, IT MUST BE STOPPED"

CM#2 "Quick! Assemble your best bug fix team STAT. Deploy on my mark 3, 2, 1......."

posted a message on The new 2.0.6 rend build
As i don't want to write a new essay over here, i gonna copy my post from a thread* at the US forum as normal, and link to all the relevant information.
Hmm this looked fun so i threw together a rend barb with leftover gear in my stash, as i don't dare to re-roll my main gear if this rend change is "unintended.."

This is how my run looked like: (edit, gonna gather all my videos of the rend build here)

My last full group recording of the stronk rend - t6 rift in under 3min and 30sec, no conduit @ http://youtu.be/An2HYtM2SNI

Testrun of the rend build in group (kinda) @ http://youtu.be/U_HVwUqm0UU

Diablo 3 RoS: Testrun of the new 2.0.6 rend build, T6 rift in ~6mins without unity @ http://youtu.be/JiBAwc72S4Q

Right now iam pretty fond of the new and improved rend***, so i have to experiment more with it

The main difference between this build, and the one zapro** showcased earlier is that i was running without unity, so this version its ready for group play.

And i was running Chilaink's (group ready) instead of Harrinton manly because, i feel like the trash dies from 1 rend anyway. so there is no need for the extra damage there. So i rather have to live this the occasional 1-5sec longer kill-time vs elites. And i like to move fast :D (although this was a bad map to showcase it.

The Warzechian is kinda a given as i don't really have anything to proc the strongarms with..

Gear and build can be seen at -> http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Det0x-2856/hero/32520198

    * = 2.0.6 (stealth buffed) Rend discussion (by nubtro) @ http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/13088049258

    ** = zapro's rend build video @ http://youtu.be/7IHyuSMfPRk

    *** =
    2.0.6 REND
    7545 strength
    35% crit chance
    +450% crit damage
    1694 average MH weapon damage

In patch 2.0.5, Rend´s ability to crit was removed. Instead, crit chance and crit damage were directly included in calculating its damage.
    Expected Mutilate damage per tick based on patch 2.0.5 changes = 1694 * 76.45 * (1 + 0.35*4.5) * 0.4 = 133,391.489

Actual ingame values in patch 2.0.6:
    > damage tick reflected on monster health bar numbers = 133,392 (12 frames, non-crit)
    > damage tick reflected on monster health bar numbers = 733,656 (12 frames, crit)
    > damage tick displayed above monster = 533,566 (48 frames, crit)
    >damage tick displayed above monster = 2,934,613 (48 frames, crit)

Conclusion: Rend is now able to crit again on top of crit mod*** being included in its damage calculation. This means that a crit Rend benefits from crit damage twice (squared). A similar behavior was confirmed in the past for certain weapon procs like Odyn Son, Bul-Kathos´s Oath and Maximus fire chain. The only difference between these calculations is that Rend doesn´t benefit from attack speed at all while the aforementioned item procs do (aps is also directly included in their damage calculation instead of affecting their tick frequency).

    ***crit mod = 1 + crit chance/100 * crit damage/100

It is unclear whether this is an intended change to make the skill competitive again or just a "bug" byproduct of making the Rend damage bonus on gear work again.

posted a message on Torment 6 solo rift run by fire HotA barb (non Soh)
Hey guys, i am back again with a other one of my videos :)

I have seen a few threads asking about how to gear a "t6 endgame" barb, and this is my take on it.. all the while without relying on gimmicky mechanics which gonna get broken when the shine gloves get fixed... (~perma wotb/IP and "unlimited" fury)

And i don't think i need to comment on SoH, although its a fitting name.. :D

Diablo 3 RoS: Torment 6 solo rift run by fire HotA barb (non Soh) @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rrN6uuR9W0

The t6 Devastator build shown in the video @ http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#ZlUkjR!Ydej!ZabcYc (named after my crafted offhand:)

The basis for this build is to stack +fire damage, and +hota damage while still maintaining just enough eHP to survive at your chosen torment level. The key item which really makes this build shine is the Cindercoat chest, which will let you pretty much hammer away nonstop while using a generator attack here and there.

I will be linking to the basic version of this build at the bottom of this post which i recorded on day 3 of RoS.

If you manage to find the full Immortal king set as i have, you can forgo the generator altogether and fit something else of your liking on your spell-bar. And when the fix for the Gloves of Worship comes, you just trade them in for a pair of fire damage magefist's for even more damage :)

Ingame inventory buffed stats for the newly arrived barbs which are blinded by these meaningless stats: (t6 setup)

Damage: 948k (+29% HotA damage, +90% fire damage and +29% elite damage)
    Toughness: 15.5 mil
    Healing: 44k

posted a message on Level 1 to Paragon level 100 in 31 hours (no pre-prep)
    Hey guys :)

So as iam getting closer and closer to my goal of 10x paragon 100 barbs, i thought it could be time to update this thread alittle..

Not much have changed in this run over the close to 3 months I've been farming xp, but there is mainly a difference in how we start our runs nowadays.

Instead of just taking the chance on RNG, and hope for a Crypt spawn, we take a more active approach instead.

As you can check fields if Crypt spawned in fields in merely ~10 seconds*, we all scout for it in each of our own game.

First one that find Crypt invites the 3 other players, and we "resume normal operation", as explained in first post in this thread.

One other thing other thing i would like to note, is that experience per hour gain is hugely dependent on the "pathing" of your puller WD. So its really important for the which doctor to know how to clear both Fields and Crypt efficiently. (in the video posted below you can checkout the route of one of the best puller WD's i know)

In a group consisting of the same 3 barbs, the witch doctor can decide if your getting 350 or 450mil xp per hour by knowing where to go when..

And again to avoid accusations of a cherry picked run, i will upload a video netting us over 500mil xp per hour, with only 4 stacks in woods and no xp shines

Diablo 3: Advance group xp farm netting us over 500 mil xp per hour @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz6iDupnwl0

Since i was recording this run, i was only playing with 10-15 fps which made alittle hard to control to say at the least :)

78.374491 mil xp in 9min and 20 sec -> 503.8 mil xp per hour
This number actually rivals some of the pre-prep runs i have seen other people doing, which btw ain't efficient in (real) time used/ xp gained at all)

    Players seen in video:

posted a message on Level 1 to Paragon level 100 in 31 hours (no pre-prep)
Since there are many people trying to grind paragon levels nowadays, i gonna copy one of my threads over to this forum, which will show you the most efficient way to farm experience.

Original thread can be found here: (contains alot more information) http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/10039054064?page=1

    Hey guys,

    Ever since the information
about the global Paragon system get released, there haven't been much else to do in the game, other then leveling characters in preparation.

So i thought i could share what i have been doing towards this goal.

    Route:

1:The festering woods (for valor stacks)
1.5: If we only got 2-3 stacks in woods, we go Leoric mansion for 1-2 stacks
    2: The Fields of Misery
2.5: If The Decaying Crypt and/or Scavengers Den spawns, clear them out (always made sure we had 5 stacks before doing so)
    3: Repeat

Doing this run with a geared group, you can gain 350-400 mil xp per hour on average
Some "Pros" for doing this act1 run
    - You can get 5 stacks in Festering Woods very fast (sometimes even 6stacks: 2 elites in Crypts, 3 elites outside + 1 out of 2 random Events)
    - You can get +1 stack very easy in fields of misersy (random chest outside - "the old man" + chest in random dungeons)
    - You got a decent chance to find ether 'Scavengers Den' or "Decaying Crypt" (both are awesome for exp/hour)
    - All Mobs in fields are pretty fast (you can pull them all together with a wd using locust swarm - pestilence rune)
    - Inside the "Decaying Crypt" you can make all those female zobies double or even tripple spawn using locust swarm - pestilence rune (afik they spawn 3 3 2 1 zobies and yes they all give exp + loot)
    - 95 % of the Mobs (except trees and beastes myb will die to a decent stacked crit rend of 2 or 3 barb in a 4 man Party)
    - The map layout is always the same in fields (easy team coordination)

Group composition: 3x WW/Rend barbs + 1x puller Which doctor
    Reasons for a WD
    - To kill elites to get to 5 stacks very fast (use fire bats + Voodoo+ Mass Confusion/hex 20%dps + Soj)
    - To lure all Mobs together in fields of misery using locust swarm - pestilence rune + place your Voodoo im big packs
    - To make all those female zobies in the decaying crypt double or even tripple spawn using locust swarm - pestilence rune

    Reason for barbs
    - To find all those elite outside the crypts in Festring Woods very fast ( barb is most effective due to perma Speed buffs)
    - To freez the elite with a cold soj while in festering woods (they wont run out of the wd's bat range that fast + mass dps)
    - To kill all the trash the wd lured together using rend with massive crit dmg and crit chance up to 93 %

So onwards to the video showing how its done, and proof for my claim in title
Diablo 3: Level 1 to Paragon level 100 in 34 hours, featuring a average 405mil xp per hour run @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEyZKTq5-vk

(showing gear and build at the end of the video)

I picked this "only 3 stacks in woods" video to avoid the accusations for a cherry picked run.
You can top out at over 450mil xp per hour in single runs, if you are lucky...

I would also like to add that its even possible to do it quite a bit faster faster then 34 hours. I was playing mostly solo in the start, and that slowed me down.. I would guesstimate ~30 hours is possible with the right "know how" and group.

If anyone have any comments or questions, feel free to ask :)

I have been leveling a new barb with especially this in mind, so all farming was done in group using the exact route and setup shown in first post...

Sadly i missed my mark by 25min :( Guess i can blame nubtro for this failure, as i have been carrying him around for a few hours :P

Official time: Level 1 to Paragon 100 in 31 hours and 24 mins.

    Some statistics for my run:

Total xp needed from Paragon level 1 to Paragon level 100 = 10,454,400,000 xp

Total time used from level 1 to level 60 = ~1 hour and 45 mins

Total time used from Paragon level 1 to Paragon level 100 = 29 hours and 39 min

~10400 mil xp / 29.5 hours = ~ 352 mil xp per hour including everytime (deaths, looting, repair, identifying, etc etc)

Special thanks go out to "main" farming group: (no particular order)

The barbarian rivalry between me and duus89 have finally come to an end..

Duus have sold his gear, and i don't think this time can be improved with the gear currently in the game. At least not noteworthy before the expansion pack hit the servers...

...If you think i'm wrong, i welcome you to try, as it would be nice to see some new guys giving it their best.. :)

So without further ado, i bring you the very last barbarian solo uberboss wr.

A one hour long hype about how great diablo 3 gonna be on the console, with no new information at all, coupled with "wait till Blizzcon. Blizzcon will be great for anyone who loves the Diablo franchise"..

Basically all the diablo 3 team is doing nowadays is PR for the Xbox and Playstation version.

I will gladly eat my own words if iam wrong, but i think alot of you guys will get disappointed with this "Interview"

posted a message on The De1337er Build - A Guide to blowing stuff up.. (barb)
*edit* More videos of players using this technique in post #5 *edit*

*disclaimer* Very high gear requirements *disclaimer*

    Video showcasing the build:

Diablo 3: Perma WOTB HotA build using Bloodshed @

Diablo 3: Perma WOTB Throwbuild using Bloodshed @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9rHOMcexWY

When Blizzard announced that they were gonna change how perma WOTB worked and/or modify how "Into the Fray" rune worked, alot of barbs feared the barbarian class would be gimped into oblivion, and left on the same level where the Demon hunters are today.

This spawned a thread over at the US barb forum were some of the "elder barbs" was discussing ideas, and coming up with new builds focused around the "Bloodshed" rune instead of "Into the Fray".

    Thread can be found here:

Bloodshed Build and Theorycrafting @ http://eu.battle.net...opic/7427084666

It was in this thread i realized after much testing it would be possible to run a pure HotA build with perma WOTB without the "Into the Fray" rune.

My first tries to make this worked failed for a simple reason, its impossible sustain a 25fury/sec gain without using a mighty weapon.

    This was my first try:

I have been playing around with a few different perma WOTB Bloodsheed HotA builds the last few days.

This is the closest ive been to be able to maintain perma WOTB without "into the fray".

As you can see in the video iam still not able to sustain 25 fury per sec, but i think it would be possible if i used a mighty weapon in my mainhand for the extra fury in combo with "weapons master)

This is also why i skip the elite pack and goblin, as i don't make enough fury from single/few targets without a mighty weapon..

    Video:

Playing around with a Bloodsheed HotA build @
But i have to say, jesus its fun to blow stuff up :) Checkout the AOE damage 1min and 25 sec into the video =)

Bitter after my first defeat i went out to buy myself a mighty weapon for a retry.. And boy was i right, keeping perma WOTB up is easy as finding a gay man at the Eurovision Song Contest :)

You just need to hit a few thresholds:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1: You need a mighty weapon for the extra fury generation in combo with the "Weapons Master" passive
2: You need as high attack speed as you can get, i would recommend hitting the 2.86 breakpoint in WOTB form. (good for your rltw ticks also)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The build : http://eu.battle.net...UQRP!YZg!aZZZcc

There is a few core skills you have to use to make this build work, and some of them you can change around however you see fit.

1 skill: You need make as much fury as you can with your primary attack, so i would recommend using:

Cleave - Rapture: For maximum AOE damage when you kill enemies.
Cleave - Reaping Swing: If you have problems with your fury income, because of low attack speed.
Bash - Pulverize: Same as above, large AOE --> if you have problems with your fury income, because of low attack speed.

2 skill: Gaining all the fury in the world wont help you to keep perma WOTB if you cant dump the fury..

HotA - Smash: Fits perfectly for this build as a fury dump, and massive damage dealer.

3 skill: Can use whatever you want here, but i would recommend a skill that help with your movement

Sprint - RLTW: Overall the skill that fit best with this build in my mind, as you move faster, get fury income, and do damage with it.
Sprint - Marathon: Simply make you run faster between the enemies.
Leap - Any rune: Poor mans teleport with no fury cost.
Furious Change - Stamina: If you having problems with your fury income because of low attack speed.

4 skill: This build is built around using bloodshed as an alternative to "Into the Fray" so you have to use this here.

    Battle Rage - Bloodshed

5 skill: Free skillslot where you can use whatever you want. Can list a few examples.

Overpower - Killing spree: Extra critical hit damage is always good :)
Overpower - Momentum: If you having problems with the fury income.
Warcry - Any rune: if you having problem in the EHP department.
Revenge - Any rune: if you having problem in the EHP department.
Stomp - Any rune: if you want more disable/crowed control.

6 skill: Wrath of the Berserker ofcourse :)

Wrath of the Berserker - Thrive on Chaos

Passive skills: There is only one slot that mandatory the rest you can pick yourself.

Weapons Master: Need to use this with a mighty weapon in mainhand for the fury income.

    Video showcasing the build:

Diablo 3: Perma WOTB HotA build using Bloodshed @

    A few closing words:
I really enjoy this build as something fresh, and i love to see these large explosions of the mobs blowing up thanks to the bloodshed rune.

If you want to Perma WOTB with a WW/Nado build you can find more information about that in the US thread linked above.
