Hi guys,

I'm now at around 95K DPS unbuffed and got around 60-70 mils to spend. Could you guys pls check my gears then give me some advice on upgrading? I'm aiming for around 110K DPS/40K HP/400 res all.

I just re-rolled the hero so I have little knowledge about the class. Tried to read the other threads alreadly but honestly I really don't want to waste money then get to nowhere.

The build and the route is great. Thanks, man. I've not been playing my Barb for a while, so my gears are almost out of date. I'm planning on building a new set. Could you pls suggest me what is the minimum DPS/HP/All res/Crit chance to farm with this build efficiently?

The thing is you want as much CHD on weapons as possible, so atleast one of your weapons should have CHD+socket.
For an affordable price most ppl end up with a high dps main hand with STR and socket and an offhand with lower dps, but str / 80+chd/ socket / healing stat (high LoH or LS).

As for weapon type, you can go with EF with low fear chance or good axe/mace in MH and sword or dagger in OH.

You can put the EF in OH, if your other weapon has higher dmg ranges, but you still need high CHD on one of your weapons AND some healing stat would be nice, unless you have an amulet with really high LoH or super high dps for LS belt to suffice. That gets expensive.

Its hard to say what would be good for you without a calculator or spread sheet due to the fact that paper dps on barb is not a good indicator of actual output.

You would be better off with a 200 str, cd, ls, dagger then the sword.

Echoing fury has the fear issue, its fine for upper lvl mps but it pretty annoying when trying to farm, putting it in the off hand helps alot with this but you will need to pick up the ls or loh on your main hand or your amulet.

A quick all around good upgrade would be amulet with some loh, however all your gear is "solid"


I guess you need to figure out what you want to do.

low mp farming - a pickup radius item would be nice

high lvl ubers - can you live at mp 10 with overpower - crushing advance instead of your shout?
Do you care about high lvl ubers?

Thanks, man. Those are very good advice. I don't play much, just around 1-2 hours a day. Usually, I farm at MP 2 and sometimes I do Uber bosses at MP 9-10 with my friends' help.

Do you think I should get another EF with LoH to use as an off-hand and buy an axe/mace with high DPS + socket + vit/str as main hand?

You could get much better lacunis. Search for 9% AS and then either go for STR/VIT/AR or just take some with crit chance.

I haven't been playing in 2 months and now I'm back for just a couple of days. It's like everything has changed and my gears became out of date. Fortunately, after a uber boss run with my friends' help, I got a decent amulet (for Wiz & WD) which has been sold for a good money. So, I have 120 mils to spend.

Could you guys pls give me some advice on what to upgrade with that budget for a DT/WW build?

^ Thanks, I guess so. Just curious what kind of weapon he's using. Looks like a Skorn but I'm not sure, and skorn with Life steal is just freaking expensive

I just tried your guide, get a little better gear set for around 500K and was able to take down Diablo. I couldnt do it with my 45K DPS gear set, the big hands mobs in act 4 can kill me with just 2 hits. But honestly, it's kinda sleepy, lol. I guess I'll try to get to 100K HP, 1200 res all (buffed) and some LoH. I guess it's not so expensive as well. I always love playing public game, so this build of yours is definitely a good choice for me since I can let DH/WD/Wiz to do the damage deal job.

I've tried Charge n Ignore pain like prolateria said but it's kinda really difficult in act 3, especially in The Battle Field, there's too much mobs at the same time and I kept dying continuously. Then I decided to lower my DPS to 41K and all resist to around 600-700 but have 1000 LoH. Combining LoH with OP, I was able to get through act 3.

And yes, LastMan, Leap really saved the day for me, it was awesome to leap out of a bunch of mobs and those Vortex/Waller. Thanks for the hint.

Now I'm in act 4, my DPS is not so bad but my defensive stats is kinda low. When it comes to some big hands (forgot the name of that monster in act 4), he can 1 hit me, I run like a little girl every time I see that one. But you guys are right, I'd better train myself better fighting skills with my current gears first, that's what worth doing.

Thank you very much for your help, LastMan.

Base on your tips & prolateria's and how you geared your Barb, I was able to get this stats with 24 mils:

46K HP/48K DPS (unbuffed)/800-1000 resist all/7K armor(buffed) (50.5 % CC, 320% CD with Ruthless & Weapon master)

The build I use:

Frenzy - sidearm/ Revenge - Provocation/ Leap - Iron Impact/ Ignore pain - Iron hide/ WoTB - Insanity
Passive: TaN/Ruthless/Weapon Master

I was able to kill mobs really fast but my problem is I dont have any LoH/ life steal and whenever it comes to Arcane Enchanted/Morten, I die really fast. I think I'm going to lower my DPS a little bit to get around 1200 LoH and use Overpower - Crushing Advance instead of Leap. Hope it'll work. What do you think?

Yeah, I think I'll spend around 20-25 mils for all armor pieces (including trinkets) and around 10 mils for weapons. Those are great tips and very helpful, I must say. I tried to look up on AH with both of your and proletaria's tips but I find it a little bit more than 30 mils to have your stats (with around 1600 strength - 41K DPS). I guess I just haven't got the right pieces yet. If you dont mind, could you please tell me the details of your gears (and perhaps prices, if it doesn't take so much of your time) so I can give it another shot on AH?
