But I hear the end game is made up of characters from other popular game genres?

Did they just turn this game into a marketing platform???

I hear that you are smoking crack - and not the good crack either, the nasty two dollar crack.

Seriously, what on earth are you talking about? If you haven't looked at D3 for a few years you should probably spend more time listening than talking.

You're basically suggesting that instead of having players aim for a certain elemental damage for their most powerful spec as it currently is, that they be required to have all elemental damage types available and change to what they need accordingly. That's not any better and presents more issues to the game than fixes.

Not saying that this is either a good or bad idea, but doesn't that basically describe Diablo 2? As soon as you hit Hell difficulty, every mob was immune to some elemental damage and thus a single-element build was either unworkable, or forced you to really pick and choose your hunting location.

If they started offline tomorrow, the integrity of the game would fail, tomorrow. Tomorrow there would be a collapse.

And if anyone disagrees with this assertion by ruksak, then I direct you to the numerous threads from console players, where there is a play mode that allows offline storage of characters, and it has caused massive damage to the integrity of the game. e.g. people joining random games and instantly gaining 100 paragon levels because the game host is using edited items.

It's not really new. We've had emails with hideously mangled grammar and fake links for a decade now.

But it's always good to remind new players.. never ever ever ever click on these links.

Well, I learned something from this thread - I actually didn't realize it was possible to salvage an unidentified item. Never tried it.

My instincts tell me OP might be a console player, which would explain his use of modded gear, which is abundant on consoles.
Yep, it's quite clear that most of the replies are from PC players who are not aware of the goings-on in the console versions of D3.

Even in HC (the mode I am playing) it only takes a few hours going from lvling to 70 playing master, and to then play Torment, and be able to find the best items in the game. Of course with a much smaller chance than T6, but it is still there.

You know you can find then in Normal mode - just grind blood shards and gamble. The ship sailed on items being Torment-only a long time ago.

On Greater Rifts: Rewards from Rifts include greater rift keys. These are timed challenges which provide unique gems as rewards, and are the main component of leaderboards. I don't recommend using the feature in significant amounts prior to the ability to do T6, as you won't be able to make much progression. However an early dip to collect major gems can make a significant difference in your torment progression, and it's up to you whether you like spending greater keys on low rifts or not.
I'd say a good rule of thumb is that it's well worth doing GRifts, even if you're poorly geared, up to the point where you no longer have a good chance to upgrade your gems. You can still get a number of successful upgrades long before you're geared enough for T6.

But once you're down to 50% or less success chance at the point where you can't progress any further.. probably time to stockpile some keys.

Give me a break from this argument. Diablo 3 in it's current state is in the "wasted potential" spot. True that some people (probably you too) like it just like it is but the game has fundamental flaws that are not addressed by Blizzard at all. At least 2.1.2 didn't change anything in the long run. Not sure what the connection between that and what I said is.

I'm just pointing out that bitching on the forums has kept you amused for years. Indeed, one would have to say, looking at your post history, that you've gotten more entertainment from complaining about Diablo 3 than most people get from games they like.

Is it really that enjoyable posting these whines, month after month, year after year? Is there some point where you think you might seek out a hobby doing something you enjoy, rather than complaining about something you don't? It doesn't have to be computer related. Maybe cooking, or wood-carving, or folk dance, or something?
