In my opinion, PvP is going to bring back tons of people to this game. It's a shame that it is not released yet. I had a chance to play pvp at blizzcon and it was SO fun. It was way more popular than the PvE demo.

Haha it would for sure be fun to exploit if you could. However, I don't think there will be any way to guarantee that you'll go up against people who also want to exploit it.
I think you have really hit the nail on the head Afflicted. I'm personally going to aim for around 50% CC reduction. I think it will help tremendously in PvP!!
I would be happy if they simply offered a 1v1 arena. Everyone is talking about it, but it hasn't been confirmed. There's a huge rush when it's just you versus someone else. Much more so than in a 4v4 match.
I am pretty certain that PvP will either make or break Diablo 3.
My prediction...PvP will breathe new life into the game. People that quit because of no end game will come back so that they can try to beat up on some noobs.
People will try their best to make it competitive, but I think it will just be a huge zerg fest with tons of deaths and big explosions. It will still be fun though!
For now they should focus to get balance right. Rather have a solid 4 vs 4 then a broken pvp with more alternatives.
I agree with you, but I think you have your hopes way up. Jay Wilson has stated that there will be no balancing around PvP. Everything is being balanced from a PvE perspective. Unless they decided to change that.
Also, I would love to see a dueling option. Maybe it won't be available for ranked matches, but maybe as a practice match option?
I had the chance to play Diablo 3 PvP at Blizzcon the last two years. Everyone was given preset mediocre gear, and there was still a large amount of one shotting going around. Then, if it wasn't a one shot, it was an insta kill. You have to remember there will potentially be FOUR players wailing on you...not just one.
Long story short, you die frequently and quickly, yet it still managed to be super fun. The line to play PvP was always like 10 times longer than the line to play the PvE demo. Hopefully that gives us some indication as to how popular PvP will be when it finally comes out.

Chadicus you are spot on with this idea. A simple buff would be all it takes to get rid of super imbalances DPS potentials of certain classes.
Of course they would have to fine tune it and tweak the percentages so that PvP still feels fun.
