    Hello Bagstone!


    I have found a little bug which is most likely due to post PTR Changes. If you check the Level 3 gems to 65 Conquest it automatically checks the "Level 3 gems to 70" from Guardian, which obviously should not :).


    Not a huge bug, but still confused me a bit at first I was like eh I have not leveled 3 gems to 70 yet, I'm sure I haven't clicked that button.

    I will certainly test this myself and report back, when I have a decent sample.


    Another point is upgrading gems. I am currently upgrading my gems at level 75+ @ 1% chance. I have no chance of upgrading them at 60 but I do have that 1% at 65. Getting a good group to do a few 75s to upgrade gems would be better, but that is not always an option, and I've gained 5-6 gem levels this way so far which is great.


    I'm @ Paragon 888 right now and other than gems I do not really see anything else than xp that matters to me. So maybe that 1000+ paragon you're mentionning for not caring about bloodshards / leg per hour is a bit overkill. But then maybe I'm just lucky, who knows.

    Something seems off,


    I average 120 to 160 bill an hour running 65s in 6 to 10 minutes. The 6 is when you get a good rift with a good RG for a SWK Monk. Were your tests done with 2 supports characters wearing xp gear(Cain+Born+Hellfire+leoric) as well as everyone in party with ruby in helms? More importantly, did you do all your tests with the same %xp bonus in party?

    You get that impression, but it's actually the area damage / pain enhancer/ battle rage (bloodshed) causing the lag, and when the palms explode the lag actually stops. So the game freezes and lags, until somehow enough damage is done a mob and when the palm explodes, you are free from the lag because the mobs are dead. so in some way, EP kinda stops the lag.

    It is a good way to get your first fist of az'turrasq, other than that I would not even bother, as the chance of getting one is under 5%, and sub 1% to get an ancient one.

    You should always pause the game(when pushing solo) when you see lag spike, it may give you the chance to stay alive. Even in softcore, it may save your run.


    About area damage gear, I really don't get why would removing area damage from your gear change anything, at is has a 20% chance to proc with and without area damage on your gear. it justs increases the amount of damage, not the amount of hits. The only factor to increasing lag I see here is the battle rage(bloodshed) splash + pain enhancer + normal area damage procs and of course density. Does the code suck at the point that every piece of gear trigger an area damage hit for x% 20% of the time?


    Technically speaking, a bigger amount of damage does not take any more processing for the servers as long as it can be stored in the same variable type (most likely Int64 here which has a max value of 9 223 372 036 854 775 807).

    I'd use the one on the right as you can get perfect CDR on it. Especially if you run blinding flash with laws of seph. You might say that vit is important, but CDR is more important to get epiphany & sanctuary uptime, and I like the melee reduction. it's not secondary resist but it's nice to have.

    You need death breath to level up the blacksmith to craft Lv 70 weapons, and those do not drop before you hit Level 60. This is why.

    If botting is the issue for you, then don't play SC. I feel like botting is a lot more rampant in SC than HC. Because well, losing a character because your bot fucked up sucks.


    TurboHud tho.. that's another issue.

    I made a summary of our tests on leoric crown here
    You can also check page and 3 and 4 for the details of the tests. over 20 runs were done, nobody ever got the crown sub level 20 and at least 15 runs at Level 20 or above got the crown.

    Turbohud annoys me even more than botting tbh. Gives an edge to the actual performance of clearing that Top 10 GRift. I know botting does that too indirectly, but I still feel like TurboHud is really what makes it unfair. These guys know the pylons, the elite affixes, the dead ends, all in advance vs a legit player. That is REALLY unfair.


    But yeah they don't do anything. I had a so called "friend" on my friend list that literally told me he was botting in the battle.net chat! like he whispered it to me, many times, we had many discussions over it and I kept telling him how botting is bad for the game. I emailed hacks@blizzard.com (WHY NO REPORT BUTTON IN GAME?!) many times telling them to check the chat logs, to check that he was online 24 hours a day doing the same game creation/leaving pattern in always the same areas. The guy had a bot opening chests naked. I mean it's so obvious.


    Yet, he never got banned or temp banned.
