posted a message on Non season players get kicked in the....AGAIN

No one cares about nonseasonal players. Your completely empty leader boards are indicative of that. Blizzard sure as hell doesn't care. Why should they? There's no demand. If you're not going to sack up and go seasonal like the rest of the player base, at least don't whine about not getting what you want for a dead mode!

That's like if I sat here and complained about lack of support for Diablo 1. Blizz I can not believe you are not releasing constant new updates for Diablo 3 vanilla. Vanilla D3 players getting kicked in the ...AGAIN.

Your best bet is to go to a online lobby, see who has one and then friend request them and ask. It's the only way to get them via someone else - it can only be sent through the mail - which you need to be friends with.

Btw - those specific ones I believe are account bound - so if they send you, they may or may not be modded with affixes.

However, the cosmic wings and such are not account bound - so they shouldn't be modded with stuff.

i think all wings are account bound.

if you bought a version of the game that comes with wings and dont have them, first check your in game mail. that's where they appear. if they're not there, submit a ticket to blizzard.

if you bought a different version, you have to upgrade if you can. im not sure if you can still get the vanilla d3 collectors edition anymore.

All the preorder and special versions are all account bound. The new wings for the 2.4.1 (or whatever the number is for consoles) patch can be sent to friends via mail. Like I said, there are mods who've unlocked them so they can still be sent through the mail. I have like 5 or so different ones.

oh im on pc. i am unfamiliar with the wild world of console d3.

posted a message on Conquest - some advice please
    Quote from Bagstone»

Some good advice, Snowflakez. Just two points:

    1) For the TX in 2 minutes, the two main points are to have a dedicated "porter" who leaves the rift at 90% completion to instantly talk to Orek when the RG dies (saves 10-15 seconds) and most importantly, when you have the "open rift" don't loot. Just pick up no loot until the RG is dead, it'll speed up your run significantly.

    2) Curses is more difficult than Boss Mode. Both solo and in group.

For example, check out Wudijo's video of their rank 1 conquest streak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NX6zluYxTR8

They complete Boss Mode at 22:09 with more than enough time left ("we should've done it earlier"). At the end they go straight for the Curses conquest (you can hear him say "everyone goes in their own game looking for the chest"), but don't get a close attempt until 40 minutes later and it takes them 1.5 hours until they get it.

I'm not saying Curses is incredibly difficult, but Curses can definitely be failed and needs some thinking. Boss Mode is really hard to fail once you're paragon 400+ and virtually impossible to fail in a group at any paragon 200+.

decently geared people should be able to solo carry tx in 2 minutes in a pub game on a good map while still picking up legs and dbs. i think the single most important thing about this one is fishing for a good rift. also, it doesnt take anywhere near 10 seconds to tp and run to the guy. maybe 5 seconds?

cursed peat bounty is a bitch to find. running to find the event without bounty is a waste too. just check your game everytime you join/make one instead. or join a bunch of comms.

posted a message on What are the benefits of Season 6.?
    Quote from Bagstone»

There are no benefits besides the ones you mentioned. If that's not enough for you, play non-season after getting the stash.

The main reason why people enjoy season is the fresh start. If that doesn't work for you and you need additional incentives, then non-season is exactly what you want to do.

I don't know what the MAIN reason why people enjoy season is, but top TWO are probably fresh start and, very importantly, a larger player base and more competition.

Nonseason communities and leaderboards are a barren wasteland. Normally, top 100 on nonseason leaderboard would barely even make top 1000 on seasonal leaderboard despite huge paragon/augment/item advantages.

For the stash, then back to NS.

One thing I do not understand is the seeming obsession with the cosmetic hoarding this season (haven't played NS so not sure what the momentum is over there).

Essentially, they do absolutely nothing however people seem to flock to them like they're the new found BiS item of all time. Sure, it's a new pet or transmog or whatever, add zip zero ziltch for making the game better. I have 4 pets now, why get more? Every single one you have does exactly the same thing (pick up gold). If one type gathers gold, another gathers globes, then of course get them all and use for your situation\needs of the moment. Couldn't care less about the wings or pennants, they are just in the way and distract (ie gold wings from pre order ROS). Portrait frame? Sure, show your level of completion in the season or if you bought OW, completed lvl 70 in old seasons or hit level 20 in HotS.

I think this sends a message to Blizz that crap content patches are awesome and no new real worthwhile additions are required if people will accept crap as the new best thing since sliced bread. I remember when Seasons was about getting new items ahead of NS, this was a great concept.....

Perhaps I am gravely mistaken however it's what I currently perceive.

Diablo is a loot game. When they add new loot, people want it. Good gear is getting too easy to get. There are only a handful of things to do per season: get achievements, grind exp (upgrading gems for augments at the same time), push solo GR towards the end (or before you quit).

Farming cosmetics is a good break for people who are bored and/or are hoarders. GIVE ME COSMIC WINGS ALREADY!!!

posted a message on Poll: Are you going to play season or non-seasonal?

Are you going to make a sprint for the stash tab or are you even going to skip that?

I won't make a sprint for it, but I'm going to get it. I always finish season journey.

What did you play in the previous five patches (season or NS)?

    Always season

What's your reason to play season or non-season in 2.4.1, respectively?

Always season. NA server has no nonseason. It's a wasteland. Top ladder for sc/hc on nonseason would barely even make ladder on nonseason. It's pathetic. I think completing like GR 30 or something gets you on leaderboard for HCNS solo for most if not all classes. I have a few nonseason clan mates, and whenever they complete a GR people are like "GRATS FOR HITTING TOP 6 ON LEADERBOARD" or whatever. But come on. That top 1 or top 5 or whatever is like not even top 100 for nonseason, and you've had WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more time to farm gear, exp, mats, gold, etc. No grats for that pathetic crap.

What factors are most important for your decision (what streamers do, what
your clan does, what your friends list does, where the perceived
majority of players is, where leaderboards are easier to reach/more
contested, or what this poll tells you ;-))?

The most important factor is something to do. My main goal in every season is to complete the conquests, journey, and achievements. My secondary goal is to get one hardcore and one softcore character on the solo leaderboards. Player base is a small factor. Conquests are season-only, so that's sort of the bottom line for me.

posted a message on The conquests are way to hard!!!

conquests/journey are def hard for hc. solo 70 is leaderboard for most classes. i did 70 solo on my hcs dh like months ago and im still on the leaderboard.

my major gripe is the time consuming ones. i enjoy playing one seasonal softcore and one seasonal hardcore every season. also, my main goal per season is to get all the conquests (secondary goal is get all achievements, tertiary goal is to get on leaderboard for my two chars). this season, to get all conquests, im forced to play minimum 2 hardcore 2 softcore. mastering dungeons and doing gr 55 on SECONDARY characters i dont even want to play is a HUGE time suck. almost every class has at least one "difficult" dungeon too even if most of them are easy.

i love conquests like speed racer and etc. ive done them every season. conquests that are hard and require special teamwork and stuff are fun to do. conquests that are just grueling and grind-y like master 8 dungeons are really boring.
