Just toss it out here: I did the Key Warden in Act1 8 times without the key dropping once.
Inferno monster level 6
So I don't expect the drop chance of the key to be anywhere close to even 40%
Did you have full NV? I've heard it helps(or maybe just that MF helps) but take that with a grain of salt.

What are you talking about? First off there is no defense nerf, they went over this in the beginning. Monster damage is going down by a lot. Monster HP is lower too if you choose to play at MP1. They also hugely buffed both stuns and snares in Inferno. Also, all the skills that got proc coefficient nerfs also received other buffs in 1.0.5. Wizards are gonna be just fine.

1. When doing a comparison search, use only the good stats on the item(ignore ones that are very low or not valuable), and then knock a few points off of each one to increase your result set.
2. Don't forget that just because you see an item listed doesn't mean it's going to sell anywhere near that price. Most of the items you see on the auction house at any given time are overpriced, which is why they're just sitting there instead of selling. Always check time remaining to see how long they've been posted without selling.

If you didn't know, the Hellfire Ring has 4 random stats. Your first one will probably be awful except for the proc and the +exp, so there is plenty of reason to keep running ubers.
It's clear that the intent of this system is that the acts are still the main farming area in the game. That's why you have to keep re-building the Infernal Machine. You're really not intended to farm the keys either, you're supposed to just add the key wardens to your regular runs so you occasionally get an uber fight as a bonus. You can also do them far more often if you want by coordinating uber runs with friends so that you benefit from eachother's machine drops.

I think it's definitely the case that public play isn't very popular for a variety of reasons, which is no doubt why they felt okay about going forward with this. One of the big issues being the lack of quality control, i.e. a top-geared player farming Act 3 getting matched with somebody who doesn't even belong in Act 3 at all. Good Monster Power-based matchmaking would totally resolve that issue though so I think we'll get there eventually.

What they should do instead is make the matchmaking gradually look for lower monster power games(never higher) if it can't find one at your own monster power. That would actually improve things from how it is now since people with great gear playing at high MP are unlikely to match with people slogging through MP0.

Nobody is saying this makes the AH worse, they're saying it makes it better, i.e. easier to get great loot with it making it still the best choice for gearing up. I really think they should do BoE gear at this point to control the item economy while they buff the actual droprates.

They're still so random though that it's easy to find one that's just good but not great. I think it's better for them to be a bigger part of the game by showing up more often.

What? That doesn't make sense. Why would MF be additive?

This might not actually be a recent change. I saw Whirlwind being 10 Fury instead of 9 the day the PTR went live.

You do realize how many monsters die in Diablo right? A lot of people already reported finding Legendaries pretty frequently with high MF.

This is wrong, along with the level 63 monsters the drop tables are also taken from Act 3.
