posted a message on Blind man's bluff

I don't think anyone is arguing that it's hard, it's just very tedious, time consuming, and most of all, not fun. In fact, I'd prefer if it were harder and they payoff was better. I really like the idea of having a fixed level grift for each of the ubers culminating in a guaranteed piece.

posted a message on Hellfire Amu, could it be more fun?

The whole process has become terrible because it's at T6. Literally the only way to make your hellfire experience faster is to find someway to increase your movement speed. Fun? What is this word? Ubers used to be fun when they were challenging.

PTR for the next patch is open, season 1 winding down, constant changes, etc. Nothing exciting to talk about. The new Season 2 legs for crusader are unimpressive imo.

posted a message on Better Loot in Season ?
aggrofall is right, they buffed the set piece drop rates around the same time as seasons started. Previous to that they buffed the overall legendary find rate for 2.1, so you should experience more pieces now that you did pre-season. I got 4 Marauders pieces fairly quickly (took FOREVER on the last piece, I actually found TnT before the last piece) but in the limited amount of time I played off-season in the last couple months, I picked up two pieces quickly there as well.

posted a message on what are we actually upgrading for?
You guys all need to play hard core NO WAIT, COME BACK hear me out :)

I love softcore Diablo, don't get me wrong. If you look at my profile you'll see that's where I spend the vast majority of my time and it's for pretty much the same reasons as everyone else here has listed (I love facerolling mp10 with a group, etc) but Hard Core is really where the longevity of this game is for me. There really is nothing like the rush you get when you're sitting back, relaxing in your chair, farming through a map when all of the sudden an elite group comes up with some interesting affix combinations, and then, oh crap, there's another group of elites and then all the sudden you're up out of your chair, face close to the screen, adrenaline pumping, because, oh shit, you're about to die if you make a false move. I *Strongly* encourage you to just try it for a while and see if it doesn't just get you excited again about playing diablo. It really is a unique aspect of video gaming where these days everything has gotten so easy and it's all just about keeping you playing longer. The concept of bam, everything not in your stash is permanently wiped really makes it interesting.

    TWO NOTES:
Don't tell me about your network connectivity issues. Every single person I've talked to has tried to get to play hc throws that excuse at me and you know how many friends I know have lost HC characters to lag? 0. You know what you do when your connection gets bad? Farm an area you won't die in or go play SC until your connection gets better.

You will die. You will. I've seen guys at 100k HP (Real HP, not EHP) 900 RA, 8k armor die on MP2, it just happens. Just like anything else, don't put all your eggs in one basket and be prepared. Don't get mad about it, just move on and make another character. I have two tabs in my stash devoted to nothing but leveling new characters and it makes it real easy. Every 2 levels or so, I just run to the stash and grab the next item in line and my characters are always face rolling through 0-60.

posted a message on Ladder may be near
I feel like you guys are all getting off track. OP wants to talk about the four questions Bliz asked about ladders. Not a single one of the questions was "do you want to complain about how shi++y this game is right now?" or "do you think we should completely ignore every other change we've already said we were going to do and do a ladder instead?"

If you aren't going to answer one or all of these questions, please go to another thread!

    - Would you like access to a separate auction house?

    - Would you like to include player trading via the trade window?

    - How long would you like the resets to be?

    - How many character slots should we enable?

    - Should the characters take up existing slots you currently have?

^^ wholeheartedly agree. If you're going to post here, at least take the time to make a write up for those who can't view videos or don't want to. hence the reason they're on a forum and not you tube.

posted a message on A Paragon Level 100 Bonus
^ agree with Seifa. Any change you make to make p100 better will be the new "norm" and players that aren't there will feel like they are missing out. It's best to have a quality of life change rather than a stats change. Maybe an icon next to your name in chat? I really like the idea of incremental increases like 1%MS or 5 p/u radius, or whatever. As long as it isn't dps related it should be fine.

posted a message on CM Wizard Upgrade Advice
Jake, you need to increase your ias considerably. Try to hit at least the 2.5 attacks / second mark. A chantodo wand or EF is pretty much mandatory for a CM if you're serious about it. You'll probably lose some paper dps but the IAS increases the damage that your tornadoes do and you'll end up with a much better freeze. Chantodo wands only come with one random so go for CD or a socket if you want dps, or IAS if you really wanna hit a higher a/s number. Also pay attention to the + attacks. 0.25 is a huge upgrade from 0.20. If you switch to a Chantodo wand then a source is your next step. You should be able to find a Chantodo source with decent damage for about 30M. A witching hour belt would be the next upgrade after that. It's hard to tell what to suggest without knowing what you're willing to spend :)

posted a message on You Know You're Too Involved With Diablo When...
You know you're too involved with Diablo when your 3 year old knows what the game is called and stands behind your chair and encourages you to "kill the bad guys" and knows to go "ooooo" when a legendary drops.

:) I'm having a blast playing with my 5 year old tho. I died about halfway through the butcher one time and she had to finish him by herself and she was so scared about the "big bad guy"... so priceless, and she beat him!!
