posted a message on Season 5 Season only items?

I've been lookin through a bunch of information regarding season 5 items but I haven't been reading anything specifying that there are any season only items. Am I missing something? Did they just not put any in this season? Thanks!

best advice i can give you. use your save life skill. it will now be an eaten passive slot, unless you can get it on a HF ammy. other than that, if you can score a clan early, just have them carry you til you got a bunch of materials and stuff. focus on not standing around in any elite stuff, and plan to have a bit more toughness. really it's all just general survival... you'll get the hang of it as you play. just start out slow, level yourself, get a feel for doing battle and not dying. last piece of advice. have an exit strategy.

posted a message on Witch Doctor Damage Types

hmm... interesting thought... though i don't think there is any way to proc arcane damage, unfortunately... it doesn't go based on follower damage otherwise i'd say use the enchantress.. i was gonna say maybe the tormentor because it has a charm chance on it, but i don't know if that is technically a kind of damage.... think that's a bust, no way to use arcane on a WD

yeah i mean if you want blues you just gotta scrap blues.... you only need to do a few runs to stack some 500 or so, so just dedicate some runs to stocking up then get back to farming dem legsz

posted a message on Issue editing builds

Hey guys, I threw a build together and posted it. Problem is, I've made some adjustments to gear and have other things I'd like to add, but every time I add content, I go to post it again, and it says that non latin unicode isn't accepted right now and to try again later. I didn't put anything crazy in what I've added, nor was there any weird kind of characters in the original post... is it something I'm doing? Is this a bug?

posted a message on I'd like to begin a melee dps char in season 3...

the easiest tanky class i've played not including the WD is a crusader... the standard 100% uptime condemn build allows you to run through T5 and T6 simply casting condemn while staying moving, and killing everything in 1-2 casts... i haven't pushed higher than GR30 on it, because i didn't quite have my gear where i wanted it to where i could be confident enough to run around anything higher... but that seems the best imo... rift guards were dying extremely fast, too, which i think is probably better for higher GRs, since the guardian is one of the main issues in higher GRs... the secret to this build is the 100% uptime, or damn near close to 100% uptime akarat's champion...

this seems overly complicated... i'd rather just run bounties til i get like 15 or so shards on hard, then just run rifts.... still, if this kinda play is what you're into thats cool too

because there is no challenge to playing softcore... you just keep grinding until you hit a point where you're bashing your head into a wall... the fresh start is nice. the intensity of some battles is glorious when you survive and otherwise it's just down right fun. softcore bores me to the point where if i'm not playing hardcore, i'm not playing D3... that's just my view on it. i guess what i'm trying to say is it's more captivating and fun

i die the most from disconnects... just last night i lost my hardcore condemn crusader because for some reason blizz made this game online only... i teleported to fields of misery from town, and after like 2.5 minutes of loading, my screen changes to a disconnect, and for once the key warden was right next to the waypoint... i go back to menus to find all my hard work gone...

they said that they made it possible to find it off of Grift bosses after finding it on a character... this way you can farm them like a mad man for a couple days til you get it, and if your hardcore character dies you can still get it... this is intended

posted a message on Why finish rifts after guardian is dead?
neither side is right or wrong in terms of clearing rifts. the way blizzard described how to find items is to constantly kill stuff. that being said, regardless of what you're doing, either remaking after RG or full clearing, you're still killing stuff. i've found that i actually get a couple more legs every few runs if i just clear the rift. will they still have dropped in another rift if i made it? possibly? but i like to clear the whole thing usually, especially if it's a cool map. shittier maps or if i have a headache or something determine when i close the rift after RG. a couple other peoples' logic is that they get more blood shards remaking after RG, which is fine.. i don't need blood shards so that doesn't matter to me. they also like to get the completion bonus exp immediately after the RG, because some people want to level fast. at the end of the day, there isn't a "best way to do rifts." legendary items drop from you constantly killing monsters. do what makes you happy.

my biggest gripe about D3 is the lack of ability to farm specific legendaries, as you could in D2. the items were based off of the level monster you killed. if you wanted an HoZ, you farm andy for a day or two. this game is too random, and i think that's what a lot of players have a problem with, myself included. if i'm farming something specific, like keys, so i can get a hellfire ring/amulet, i'm not as bored with the game. i liked being able to farm and build a character by farming select hot spots for BiS gear to progress into harder content. D3 is an extremely broad crap shoot, and many people haven't even seen some of the items that are able to drop because they get the same 2 sets of bracers and a piece of the thorn set over and over
