My original post, i guess was miss leading. I didn't mean just to farm bosses I just used it as an example. What I want to do, is what what a lot of others want here as well. Once I get my 5 NV I want to kill, maybe all the key wardens or go to act 1/2 to kill stuff or kill some mid act bosses. I want to play longer in the game instead of re-running the same area over and over in 5 to 10 min.
I quit before patch 1.0.5 hit. Came back after that, I like that they added the paragon leveling. Without that it would be tough, the loot drops are just....well you know. although the bad loot drops are kinda fun, in a weird way. In diablo 2 you would be looking for the perfect roll on an item, in D3 you hope to get decent drop. LOL
I don't know about the rest of you but I would like to see the world be open when I start a game. What I mean by that is like in D2 I could start a game from any act and kill every boss from every act. Main boss or mini boss. prior to patch 1.0.7 I guess I didn't mind as much, because farming the bossess really didn't give you anything, but know with the new crafting items, they only drop from cirtian bosses. I got used to running the same route over and over, now i have to change my play style again if i want to get any of these crafting items. I still like the game, but it is getting harder and harder to stay interested. Run gholm 100 times isn't fun to me. Force me to get 5 NV and then, at least, let me run all the acts and all the bosses i want to kill in ONE GAME!
Just ranting, sorry to be a downer, i really do enjoy playing diablo.
Recently made some changes to my barb and seem to be struggling with survivability. I changed my rings and ammy from attack speed to avg dam. I decided that with WOTB I have enough aps. The problem is I dropped 700 LoH and am not having issues sustaining life. I currently have 501 LoH and 2.80% life steal. With the 1200 I was good to go, but also I was running MP6. I usually play with 1 or 3 other players when I run MP6 or MP7. Do you think I have enough life recovery or is it game play style? Or could it be I am not doing enough damage on those MP levels?
Some further info gathered from my testing time on the current PTR build:
- The minimap star vanishes when it reaches an edge, so you either see the whole thing or nothing; the star on your big map is, as has already been stated, independent from the minimap and can be seen regardless of the distance to the drop.
- Both the minimap and big map marker remain until first pickup (or at the very least for several minutes)
- Marker persists even when going into town or dying
- Multiple markers possible; don't know if there's a limit to this, but at least I had 2 legendaries drop in Keep Depths lvl 2 and 2 stars were displayed on the map.
this is excellent. The last update to this was pretty good, but the marker would disappear too fast sometimes. I like it!
