But diablo is dead and buried long before that. 1 class every year won't save the game.
My guess is that we see a new character class pack approximately every 9-12 months. I say 9 because we also get 2 stash tabs with the pack and (only a guess) the opportunity to earn 3 more over the next 3 seasons before the next pack releases. But most likely every 12 months so they can always announce it at a Blizzcon. Maybe 3 or 4 of these until they are ready to announce the next project.

Yeah, or that. New expansion/game, my theory is still the same. They do some changes to keep us fairly happy until the next thing. Be it a expansion or a new game. I want a new game more than an expansion.
I wish that was true, but I really don't think there will ever be a real expansion to D3. It's done. I'm guessing we will get a few more character packs over the next couple years with some more QoL stuff and random new zones and upgraded legendaries thrown in every few patches to string us along until they are ready to announce whatever new title that is in the works. -

At first when i heard it was Necro and 2 zones i was done with diablo. But now i have a new theory, They seem to be fixing a lot of crap with rifts and other things now, what if this patch is to fix problems to make the game ready for its next expansion ?

Rip diablo. No new expansion, no new game. Only 2 maps, a paid character and a diablo 1 playable in d3. No one wanted a d1 remake, they wanted d2, and deffo not only the locations and bosses, they wanted the game. Not reskinned d3.

You know, this is starting to get old. They are within about 3 skills of each other and it's your own fault if you don't realize it. The only things a WD can't do are summon dedicated mages, create armor (Necro bone armor) and revive monsters to fight for him. Everything else is just a matter of extents and efficiency in certain skills. Skeletons are tantamount to Zombie dogs or fetishes, just more of them as a Necromancer most of the time. Golems are Gargantuans. Summon resist is just unnecessary. Bone Wall and Bone Prison are Wall of Death. Poison Explosion and Poison Nova are variants of Acid Cloud or damn near. Bone Spear is just a stronger version of Poison Dart at best. Bone Spirit is Spirit Barrage. Last up are Curses which I won't go over one by one, but nearly every effect can be covered by some skill or even multiple skills and passives that the WD uses. I don't have any interest in being jerky normally, but come on. If you don't see the similarities it's because you're hung up on the aesthetics and not paying enough attention to the actual mechanics of play.
All in all. i don't care much for the necro. I want a new game., Not a remake of d2 nor a expansion to the already dead d3. -

Well. there is something going on. We found that out when they where hiring people for a new unounced diablo project. Be it a d3 expansion, d4 or d2 remade in d3 engine would be awesome.
However. I think we wont see anything until blizzcon for one simple reason. Wow legion. They want to get that out and get people to buy that before telling about a new diablo. Maybe they get a few diablo players that feel they have nothing else to do -

The interview with Wyatt seem to be rather old. He talked about the last patch that added the menagerist goblin. Well. Thats 2 patches ago. He might not have had anything to reveal in that interview. There is a still a glimmer of hope for the 17th and the 18th when the event actualy starts

Why they spent all that time on set dungeons is beyond me. Its something most people ONLY did for the conquest. And will never go back to doing.
I for one only did it for the 1 stash. Not going back there any time soon.
The resources and dev time spent on set dungeons could have been used, starting a new class for next patch.
Atleast set dungeons could have been something you did to obtain a set for the class you playing. Instead of some minor cosmetic shit.

Seasons have always ended on a sunday. Patch hitting on wednesday and season starting on friday. The same week.
Now the season gonna end wednesday the 30th. Next season starting 16 days later. Meaning we get patch either 7th or 13th January and then season starting the 15th - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Don't expect much more for this game. We gonna get probably one more decent patch with the necro and the challenge rift, but it will be minor compared to previouis patches. You should rather start looking at the new diablo game that is coming within the next 4-5 years. This game is done

Why would they keep spending energy and resources on this game when they are obviously working on a new one. We are lucky we get the necro pack for this outdated game that is barely hanging on lifesupport. There is no use what so ever for blizzard to act like this game have a future when its obvious its replaced within a fair timeframe.

It simply can't be a diablo or any other form of first person moba games. They would not makedirect competition to their own game, overwatch.
This might be something similiar to Warhammer Vermintide or left for dead. If it was a first person diablo game with A LOT of loot. Sign me up !

I agree with Op. A 4 man group should be more efficient than solo, but atm, its the only way to do it. Solo take way to long time.

They could add it if they made some restrictions like You could only trade with people that were on your friends list when the item dropped. That way botters and people selling items wouldn't really be viable. Can even add something along the line of Must have been friends for a minimum of 6 months prior to the item dropping.

Memory lane ? this is NOTHING like diablo 1. This is diablo3 tilesets and diablo 3 mobs. With an added shitty filter. We wanted d1 looking and playing like d3. Not d3 looking and playing like d1. This is crap and should never have been made

Why is everyone so hyped about this event ? its just a bad looking diablo 3 "rift" they used the same tiles as diablo 3. Act 1 and 5. They could atleast remade the correct levels and not just use whatever they had lying around and add the stupid filter. This is not what anyone wanted.
