To me it just feels like they are trying their best to make everyone as happy as possible. It is a compromising of everyone's wants.
The other part is that maybe the team that designed this game really didn't think of everything. And by getting feedback from this community they've actually been able to put together a solid expansion and patch to provide its users with some real content.
From what I'm seeing nothing is changing over night and they are giving it some serious thought. Without actually playing any of these changes how do we know for sure what is going to work and what isn't.
I'll say that it looks good! For me I wish I had more time to play it but with a newborn and new job / family I find cannot.
However if anyone would like to employ myself at a 55000 per year rate to play video games (I'm pretty good I must say) I would surely oblige.
If I may be bold enough... what if I level 5 barbs, maybe I level 10! AND maybe I do this because I have the best gear for a barb. So I know that I will level those paragon levels so fast on all of my characters that now I have an unspeakable amount of paragon points
I believe you can filter the threads being shown at the top of the main page. So if you go there to look for the hottest topics, the console ones won't show up once you filter. But the poster would obviously need to post in the console section.
So Blizz wants to see our thoughts and opinions on what to add with the paragon system.

Unlocked Para 50?
Enchantress:
Skill level 5
Choice 1 . Imbue Weapon - (equal chance or ability to toggle your preference?)
Static Charge - Adds an electrical charge to your attacks giving them a chance to stun enemies
Enveloping Ice - Adds an chill to your weapon giving a chance when attacking to slow the target
Heaven's Wrath - Critically attacking opponents gives a chance to inflict extra damage to all surrounding enemies
Etc
Lasts for 10 seconds, one property at a time, recasted every 25 seconds.
Choice 2. Levitate
Enchantress casts a spell to levitate her hero - is casted when your character takes ground based elemental damage and falls below 50% health. Lasts for 10 seconds. Casted once every minute
Templar:
Skill level 5
Choice 1 - Spirit of Jondar
Your Templar calls upon the spirit of the slain Jondar to protect your hero.
Provides the character with a bone armor which reduces physical damage by 10%. Provides thorns damage of 20,000. Benefits from thorns bonuses on character. Lasts 10 seconds. Casted once every 30 seconds
Choice 2 - Knight's Inspiration
Your Templar summons his inner hero and fights wildly.
While your Templar is enraged (increasing attack speed by 20% and gains cleave) you gain 10% elemental resistance and 1% health regen every second.
Lasts 10 seconds. Casted once every minute
Scoundrel
Skill level 5
Choice 1 - Shadow Clones (Name pending)
Your Scoundrel creates 2 copies of himself with the exact same properties. Lasts 10 seconds. Every 30 seconds.
(I would like to think that GF and MF don't count, but it would be awesome to be able to slow and dissorient more enemies)
Choice 2 - Transform Weapon
Your Scoundrel's weapon transforms. Lasts for 10 seconds, Every 30 seconds
(Could be one set transformation but I was thinking it depends on if it's a crossbow or a bow)
Crossbow - Transforms into a grenade lobber which has a chance to stun opponents in a ten yard radius on top of any additional properties equipped on scoundrel
Bow -Transforms bow into Mechanical Repeater. Increases Scoundrel's attack speed by 100%

- Increase Pickup Radius
- Movement Speed
- Increase the amount of followers used by player
- Town portal cast time reduced
- Weapon swapping
- Cooldown Reductions
- Passive spells - Increase armor, resistance, shielding, auras, visual effects, elemental effects
- Add attributes to dex, str, vit, int, damage reduction, damage increase
- Share MF and GF to other characters
- Auto pick up - to be chosen by the user
- New passive skills like chance on hit to cast
- Permanent Infernal Machine and/or chance to drop more keys
Farm 1 hour get 1m gold and no good legendaries
AH prices for good gear avg (Ill use commas as a luxury here) 1,000,000,000.00 Gold.
After gold change on AH
Farm 1 hour get 1m gold and no good legendaries
AH prices for good gear now involve use on RMAH and cost on avg > 40 dollars to avoid gold cap.
SO in order for someone to actually get items we now have to farm for gold for (and im pulling these rough estimate hours out of my ass) 2bil / 1m = 2 thousand hours to get 2 billion gold.
BUT WAIT! you must then sell your gold to blizz so im guessing after that its only worth about 1,500,000,000.00 (again luxury commas) and shit you're short 5 bucks.
Go back to farming for 750 more hours at 1m gold an hour.
Realize that once you get there blizz has made another change and turned gold into meteor fragments from sanctuary because gold is too inflated and needed a change to try to reset the abominations they made to this game.
I would consider any help towards myself an investment, I play very efficiently and am always prepared to be of service if the mission doesn't involve suicide parameters.

Like I said either way they are going to make improvements.
The point of the thread stems from blizzard themselves asking for more suggestions.
They want to know what we want in the game, how often do they say, listen we are changing this system, give us more ideas!

If they ran Paragon along at the same time as leveling there may be a bit more of interest in leveling through the game.
Plus the paragon system is already here.
One could argue saying " what's the point in playing the game 4 times over? there is no more content once you reach 60!"
The paragon system adds further content to dry end game, why not improve it>?

I think what you are saying is really the items they are already looking at and honestly what I believe in as well.
I'm trying to maybe add some things that weren't mentioned on top of the common.
I like your auras idea obviously because that would benefit my play style huge.
How bout adding increase to elite dmg? Maybe increase to resistances? Damage? Reduction in melle damage, ranged damage?
These could all be attributes you could put points into

With 200k dps on my DH I still have issues with MP5+ so I'll say stay away from that...
My barb does MP10 at only 270k dps so that's pretty efficient I would say... mind you it took me awhile to get the gear I have without purchasing gold
If you're willing to buy gold it doesn't matter who you pick as long as you don't pick DH (my opinion)
