I remember trying some combinations, I believe I tried with Alt too, and it did not help. The problem was that the brain somehow was dropped to a place occupied by a door (normally items can't be dropped there, it's like two items on the same place: door and brain - and only door can be "clicked"). So I assume this was a bug.
But biggest problem I encountered when playing Diablo: Hellfire is that it's too easy (especially after I got mana shield and apocalypse spells). I know I have to play more than once to see all available quests but after finishing I did not feel like playing Diablo: Hellfire again. Fortunately, I found Diablo: The Hell and start playing it instead - it feels a lot better and so much more challenging. In Diablo: The Hell I actually have to think sometimes how to defeat powerful enemies, and have to use many different spells to survive. I think this is the best mod for people who still want to play Diablo 1.
I'm playing Diablo I: Hellfire but I'm stuck at Black Mushroom quest where I'm supposed to get demon's brain. After carefully searching I found the brain under a door at level 9. So when I point at it with cursor I see "open door" or "closed door" but can't pick up the item - I open or close the door instead. So is it possible to pick up item under a door? If not is there any other way to get the brain (like change its coordinates in saved game or just put it in inventory)?
