Encouraging players to try out the Witch Doctor class, and enjoy Diablo 3 is my major focus. I started to do this by compiling my thoughts in guides, and streaming to provide information to those who seek it.

Now that the formalities are out of the way:
Little Man's Finger Guide
Patch 2.2 Will bring a new ring known as the Little Man's Finger. It turns your Gargantuan into 3 Miniature versions of itself, that does substantially more damage then its normal singular self. The rune effects you have selected, increases to Gargantuan damage, etc. will all apply to these little guys as it would to your normal Gargantuan. Pairing this ring in combination with the New Legendary item "Cloth of transcendence" leads to some fairly strong builds.
Little Man's Finger
This is a highly entertaining ring, and is example of when blizzard does it "right". It isn't part of a "set", it has a solid legendary effect, and versatility to be inserted into many different builds. The only thing I worry about, is what the drop rate % will be once it hits live servers
Cloth of Transcendence
Very solid new item for Witch Doctor. It will provide many different options to passive skill usage due to Fetish Sycophants not being needed, and allowing fetish generation not requiring you to worry about proc co-efficient of skills. Most Witch Doctors are using Haunt, as a mana spender to trigger the effect of the pants.
- * Allows for us to drop Fetish Sycophants passive, and run an alternative one
- * Opens up options for 2 Hander's to generate Fetishes in a more reliable manner.
- * Multiple builds for Witch Doctor, have flexibility in-regards to what pants we use.
- * Works extremely well with Zunimassa's new 6 Piece set bonus.
- *Just for a side note, the fetishes are the same ones from "Fetish Sycophants" Passive, meaning if you ran the passive with the pants you could only have "15" "Fetish Sycophants" at one time
Guide Break Down
In this guide we will cover 3 variations of the build. Fire, Poison, and Physical. Each section will have links to how the build performs in Greater Rift Settings, and in some cases T6 Farming. The breakdown will goes as follows:
- * Discussion of Pro's, and Con's of the Build
- * Overview of the Skill Build Variations, Gems, and Paragon Choices
- * List of what Gear we will be using, and what stats are best per slot
- * Links to the Videos of the build in action
These are early building blocks of the future item that will be patched in. As things continue to flesh out with the PTR 2.2 Build, I will return to update information, and make alterations to where it is needed.

Little Man's Finger "Fire"
The fire variation, you could say, is a throw back to the original Wrathful Protector Build pre-nerf 2.0. It was used with Tall Mans finger, high amounts of CDR, and Star Metal Kukri. The Gargantuan itself would hit anywhere from 300m-1Bill+ damage depending on what gear you were running. However after he was "toned down", the overall usage of him, and the Powerful "Wrathful Protector" Rune in general plummeted. With Small Man's finger, It is quite reasonable to get their damage to 200m Crits + for each individual Gargantuan.
Gargantuan "Wrathful Protector

Little Man's Finger "Poison"
For the most part, unless you were looking for a filler skill in a poison build, this skill usually goes unused. The aoe effect is nice for mobs, but unfortunately the damage is a bit lacking to justify its use. With the Small Mans Finger greatly increasing the damage of the AOE effect, you can see a notable difference in its effect. Once Cloth of Transcendence gets move to the Belt slot, it will allow Swamp Land Waders to be used with it increasing the builds strength greatly. I will add this though, running Bad medicine wouldn't be a bad idea at all to help with damage mitigation in a solo/group situation.

For most of the time, any poison build (excluding CarnEvil) uses this gem. The poison elemental damage in your build scales with this gem well, and the additional 10% increased damage is nice.

Little Man's Finger "Physical"
Physical has always been a natural choice for pet builds. This is due to the fact that Fetish Sycophants natural element is physical damage. Fetish army "Legion of Daggers", combines with the passive FS, to maximize the full damage potential of all fetishes by using physical property element. With the LMF Physical build, we still lean towards this however, we use our "Increased Skill Damage" for Gargantuan. The reason for this is because were using the "Cold" Rune effect for our Gargantuan, to help us out with AOE damage. Even though the Gargantuan does not benefit from physical ED increases, the ISD combined with its strong AOE more than make up for it.

Deltafire posted a message on Arcane dustPosted in: Demon Hunter: The DreadlandsI have been running the campaign to get more blues. Because of the nurfed drop rate in the storyline you will see more blues then yellows/browns. The exp pay out is not bad in T6 and I have been using the time to find all the books and what not for more points.
Otherwise stop picking up yellows and save that space for blues. The money you get from the yellows is less than a small fraction of what you pickup just running around in the rift(T6).

This is my advice: 1) Use both magic missile as a "generator" and arcane orb as a "spender". This will get you massive cooldown reductions on Slow Time bubbles.
2) Use Slow Time every time it is off cooldown. This will SAVE your life 1000 times over. The Slow Time bubble reduces the speed of projectiles by 90% so it's so very easy to stay alive from lightning, arrows, succubus glowy red stars, etc.
3) Use whatever runes you want on spells you want, go for FUN, don't worry about climbing Grifts IMO. As soon as I had fun with my wizard I climbed naturally. I have done a level 47 grift without even trying to climb. I've got a bunch of 47+ keystones now and when I feel like climbing higher I know I can. I finished a 47 grift with 7.5 minutes left.
4) Take a look at my build/gear: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/LiquidGold-1720/hero/5470208
I got lucky with an Ancient Wand of Woh and anytime some assholes get close to me I hit Explosive Blast and then black hole to suck the guys in so I can run up to them and hit them with 12, yes 12! Explosive blasts to there face. With a 4 stack of Tal Rasha's and Elemental Exposure each one of those blasts from Explosive blast hits for 1.2 BILLION or more.
5) DO NOT USE MAMMOTH HYDRA when running with groups. Yes, the damage is awesome, but it will get your group mates killed a ton because they make it so hard to see ground effects.
6) Also, Ignore what gems I am wearing/not wearing. I dont like leveling up multiple gems so I just toss in whatever is in my inventory if say my Monk or Barb are using the gems I want.

I personally think the requirements are a little too low.
I think double them and we should be all set.
Now I am glad this restriction is good for PUBLIC games, because I have friends I play with that are "casuals" and still aren't even paragon 200 and I have no problem carrying them through on tougher games.

Normally I would troll on a topic like this, but this time I feel the need to say Thanks to a great community helping what appears to be a new player out. Wazza, if you ever need help in game gearing up, feel free to hit me up, LiquidGold#1720

I really like the idea of adding a second chest next to the current Stash and set that as an Individual Character Stash, have it be maybe 2 tabs big instead of 5, but each character would have their own individual stash that they can access. Want something on another character? Open your individual stash take it out and put it in your shared stash. But I have a Demon Hunter that uses 2 tabs just for Set Gear and Legendarys... There is just so much gear out there to get. I hold onto an entire tab of stuff for my Barb, one for my Monk, and 2 more for my wizard. I've made mules for my Witch Doctor. Maybe my problem is I play too many characters, but I think the issue could resolved by adding a second chest for individual stash for each character that is separate from all your other characters.

I would like to argue Bagstone's point about them lowering the drop rate in D3V.
I've been playing since Beta, I got to even Beta ROS.
I'm a casual player (I play every Monday night for 3-5 hours) and that's almost all I play all week.
Sometimes with time permitting I will be on in the mornings to do a Grift/Rift before work.
When the AH was around, I had no problem gearing up my Barbarian http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/LiquidGold-1720/hero/19791886
And was doing MP8-10 effectively and I would find 7-10 legendaries an hour when I was farming. Granted they all sucked because the stat affixes were horrible. But when I did find a gem of an item I would make lots of money on the AH.
I got my Barb geared the hard way, and AH my way to greatness on my Monk. My Monk had the luxury of finding a perfectly rolled Inna's belt that I sold for 2 billion on the AH, I'm still sitting on some of that money I bet (I never dropped below 300 million gold after that sale).
I'm a casual player, and I never noticed in D3V that drop rates sucked.
HOWEVER... T6 Rifts don't seem to drop legendaries at all... I could do 2 or 3 and not see a single legendary.
I do a level 1 Grift and see 2, do an 11, see 2, do a 21, see 2-3, do a 31 see 0... It seems to be completely random.
I feel like an entire 2 hours of Rifting nets me nothing some weeks, so we've decided to just GRIFT.
Overall though, I don't think Botters affect me because I don't care about leaderboards. I do however think Blizzard should be more vigilant in banning botters and taking peoples reports of botters seriously. I once was banned from WoW for botting and I haven't ever botted again after that, wasn't worth the risk to me. Today, people don't feel there is any risk to botting so it is rampant.

[*](6) Set:
[*]Soul Harvest consumes your damage over time effects on enemies, instantly dealing their remaining damage.
[/list]
[p]The Big Stinker doesn't put a DOT per se on monsters, but deals damage per second to monsters near him @ 45% of your weapon damage. [/p] [p]Things like Pain Enhancer and Gem of Efficacious Toxin actually put DOTs on monsters. I'm not sure if these work with Soul Harvest.[/p] [p]But I would assume Soul Harvest does nothing with Big Stinker.[/p]
[p]Same goes with the 2.2 set bonus.[/p]
List tags are malformed.

I will answer your questions as best I can, I do not main a WD, but I play one, and my cousin who I play with all the time Mains a WD and has since beta.
1) Your paragon experience rolls over, your 350+250 would be 400, as according to the www.paragoncalculator.com.
2) I would get rid of Helltooth, they aren't boosting it on the PTR, it is garbage, and will stay garbage. Hold onto all your Jade's and your Quetz.
Try and get yourself a good pair of Tasker and Theo's to keep, Mask of Jeram, a Tall Man's Finger, and any good ancient Zunimassa's. Also, look for a Homunculus offhand, Shukrani's Triump, Thing of the Deep, or Uhkapian Serpent. Any of these are fun to play with but can be used for any build using a 1h Weapon. Then you want to prioritize keeping a Starmetal Kukri, and if you haven't found one yet, a Rhen'ho Flayer. If you have a Furnace, awesome, this is still BiS for almost ever class that can wield it, the 40-50% elite damage is amazing.
Hope this helps, like I said, I'm no expert on WD, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I'm of the opinion that you should keep only what you're going to use. Maybe not right away, but maybe in a future patch. On my non-seasonal characters i've saved up the Natalya's Set on my DH, and I've been trying to save up Raekor's, IK, and Might of the Earth sets for my Barb. Then I hold onto one of each of the 2H Wep dmg type items, ie Wrath of the Bone King, Heart Slaughter, Maximus, just to play around with different damage types. Otherwise, I salvage it. On my seasonal character, I've gotten almost all my Raekor's except the chest, if its not an ancient I salvage stuff, with the exception of items with really awesome bonuses, ie Ancient Parthan Defenders, Strong Arm Bracers, etc. Always keep at least 1 of each resist amulet as you get them, these are extra rare so save them! Even a shit one can save your life (unless you are in a grift, thanks blizzard).

I really like the look of the Arcstone Ring, something to put on your follower to go with the Unity. Plus run it with my regular group of friends on Monday Night Gaming. Give those bastards with Fire Chains a run for their money!
