I have had more success running the ET build than AO, but it's alot harder to play. Had the same feeling as you when i first tried ET, but i did some research and it works pretty damn good. I recommend you watch a movie on how to play it.
Wow Mannercookie, I used to enjoy your channel, and I used to have respect for you. Way to flush it all down the drain.
You fucked up, you made a mistake (again), and instead of being a man and admit it was dumb as fuck, you go down the crybaby route blaming everyone but yourself. Weak.
Unity makes for a shitload of difference, and allows you to pretty much glasscannon t6. It's not in any means representable for how you perform in groupplay. Yes he is doing fine and is doing decen dmg, but this video is not showing me how he would handle groupplay with that build.
Edit: Nevermind, can't be arsed. Lets just agree to disagree.
So sorry I challenged your view on how everyone should play this game. I'm geared for T6 on several characters, and clearing it without a pp monk isn't hard. But clearing it with one is alot more comfy, and I prefer comfy over playing the game how other feels is "the right way".
I am by any means not telling anyone how the right way to play this game is, all I'm saying is that a pp monk makes rifts faster and more comfy. If that ain't your cup of tea, by all means don't play like that. But don't come here telling me what the right way to play the game is. If you clear something easily, then you are doing it right. With or without a pp monk.
You said "this monk will never be better than Leap Barb or Jade WD or Pillar / Kick monk. It just won't. Itmayseemslike there is a need for one ep pull monk in the group because when you play with him you need to compensate for the lack of DPS with some kind of support and healing."
All I have tried to say is that you are clueless about how a pp monk works and how effective they really are. How much spare spirit would a monk have for LTK or other skills when he is done palming? Not a whole lot.
I would love to see you make a dps monk with the skillset you mentioned and show me how good it is compared to a zdps monk.
It might sound good in theory, but it just wouldnt work because of the limitations of spirit you already have mentioned, and the lack of toughness when you are stuck in the middle of mobs.
By staying alive in the middle of elites with all kinds of nasty effects, keeping them piled with EP on everything. Try using cyclone strike without insane amounts of toughness, and see how it ends.
In my experience, a support monk means a smooth more comfortable and usually faster experience.
Exactly where is it you're not telling anyone how to play the game?
" but if you want fun and efficiency then the math is there to help you."The math clearly states zdps monks overall buff the groupdamage and efficiency compared to a 4th dps.
You are on this as if a pp monk was a bandaid for lowergeared players, yet you fail to see that it improves really geared players aswell.
What I am saying here is, what a zdps monk brings to the game, is the ability for other dps to compensate for the lack of a 4th, by doing groupwise more dmg than the group would with a 4th dps.
With only the mantra and strongarm, each dps is doing about 50% more dmg. If each dps does equal dmg, they would roughly be doing 25% each. Take away 25% of the group dmg and add a zdps monk, then give each of the other dps 12.5% more of the groups damage, and you end up on 112.5%. Now lets add the other buffs, and add around 90% more dmg for each player. This would roughly mean 22.5% more groupdmg per dps, ending on 142.5% dmg compared to a 4dps groups 100%.
I'm clearly not a mathwiz, and my understanding of this might be way off, but untill someone proves me wrong, this is what I will believe.

Did it with Delsere, Vyr, Firebirds, Tal'rasha, 6IK4Raek, and 6Raek4IK

Do you keep explosive blast buff from the source up?
Try swapping the pain enhancer for an esoteric.
I tend to blink out of frozen, and make sure i don't hang around in molten.

I mixed them up yeah.

Don't think you can run mr6(if that is marauder you mean) and shadow2 since they got the same itemslots. Also vengeance requires a bow.

It's your fault I got the facts wrong and I shouldn't be blamed for any of it
Edit: Blizzards policy when it comes to banhammers have always been as rng as the lootsystem in this game, sadly.

I would roll the socket to Life per Fury Spent on the 4058 one since it got maximum fury on secondary, also LpFS > LpH

Only during the 4 secs. And no need to reapply it when its up.

On a more serious note, your point about bringing solobuilds to groupplay is a very good one. And a PP monk bypasses that.
