I have not played the beta yet, so I do not have first hand experience, but I have been analysing the character builds for a good amount of time, and came up with this build to fit my play style, and possibly share the ideas with others.
This build is focused on dealing fast, and deadly aoe damage, while keeping your health regenerating.
Furious Charge
Generate:15 Fury Cooldown:10 seconds
Rush forward knocking back enemies and inflicting 60% weapon damage to enemies at the destination and 30% damage to enemies along the path of the charge. Only generates Fury if you hit an enemy.
*I chose this skill because this build focuses on being up close, and personal. Charging into combat, and being in the fight is a specific focus here.
War Cry
Generate:30 Fury Cooldown:30 seconds
Unleash a rallying cry to increase the armor of you and all allies within 30 yards by 100% for 60 seconds.
*War Cry is useful while fighting a group of enemies at once, having a buff in armor is always helpful, it will keep you alive longer, so that you will deal more death.
Battle Rage
Cost:20 Fury
Enter a rage which increases damage by 20% and critical hit change by 4% for 30 seconds.
*I chose this skill because for a brawler, dealing heavy damage, and increasing your crit chance for 30 seconds is enough time to kill a group of elites without suffering too much loss of health.
Whirlwind
Cost:8 Fury per second
Deliver multiple attacks to everything in your path for 44% weapon damage every 0.40 seconds.
*This skill is important when fighting groups of enemies, while under the Battle Rage buff, this skill will be used primarily in combat to take out anything in your path within seconds.
Overpower
Press the advantage of a powerful attack to overwhelm the enemy for 150% weapon damage to all targets within 9 yards.
*Overpower is important because its a synergy with Battle Rage, and Whirlwind in my opinion. Having an extra attack right after a critical strike is helpful when your at low health.
Ignore Pain
Cooldown:60 seconds
Reduces all damage taken by 65% for 5 seconds.
*This skill is very important when fighting a large group of enemies, or even a boss, as you will be taking damage from every opponent at the same time. This also synergizes with War Cry. Increasing your armor, and reducing damage at the same time will keep you alive much longer.
Passive Skills
Bloodthirst
Gain 3% of all damage done as Life.
*This is very helpful because you'll be continually dealing aoe damage, and continually gaining health, keeping you alive as long as possible, but still in the fight.
Relentless
While below 20% Life, all skills cost no Fury and all damage taken is reduced by 50%.
*This will be used as a safe-haven. Chances are you might run low on health since you'll be in the fight non-stop for a while, if you are low on health this will keep you alive even longer by reducing your damage taken.
Brawler
As long as there are 5 enemies within 8 yards, all of your damage is increased by 30%.
*The primary focus of the build. Having a group of enemies on you at one time is what your aiming for, this skill is main priority. Increasing your damage by 30% when fighting a group of 5 or more. This synergizes with almost all skills I've chosen for this build.
Once again, I have not played the beta first hand, so if you see anything that will not work properly, let me know so I can update this build for my keeping, and for others. I made this post so I can keep a document on when the game releases, so I'll be ready when I make my Barbarian.
