So I finally got to play the beta. Made a Monk and ran the content with 2 barbarians in a party. Game was obnoxiously easy, never felt challenged for a single bit until Leoric and that lasted about 2 seconds cause the Monk heal is so insanely good.
The lack of name locking bothered me, and the lack of connection with the character or my surroundings. The game is much more action paced now so I feel everything else falls behind. I couldn't find myself caring about anyone in the town or even caring about my items/skills because it was all free. I don't have to think about how I want my guy, I just find the damaging skill and the occasional debuff and spam away. No need for great items cause game was super easy mode, and fact I get runes as I level was just retarded.
I was looking forward to this game, now IDK. Ill still get it, but if it keeps being so action oriented and in the end boring then ill probably stop short and move on to a better game.
at the challange point.. you do no its...normal right? The first 1/3 of the first 1/4 acts of the first 1/4 difficulties. Of course its easy.
Second, also dont forget you wont be able to change your spells all willy nilly come level 60 (well you can) but you wont want to with the NV buff with the MF (in theory).
The stuff your looking at, is all things that need to be based off the full game and not a smallll part of a beta. Hold off till you play the real thing!
Exactly what Molster said....its beta....B-E-T-A. You have to really understand that before judging it so hard.
Plus the game is a Action RPG so yeah I think its action oriented...When we hit 60 there is going to be so much hidden complexity to build and inferno its going to make people play more simpler games.
I've been playing the beta for a month and I still enjoy it and believe it or not they have been ramping up the difficulty level over the last few patches. For the beginning of normal I'm pretty satisfied with where the difficulty is at.

Yea it is BETA, it still is part of the final game ha. 1/3 of Act 1 D2 would be to what..Rescue Cain? Ok so, in that time you have to go through some fights that can get pretty crazy, especially if you rush ahead like I did to see if it got any harder. You level 1 go into stony field and fight tristram or you fight Rakinishu and you will have to strategize a bit, not in D3. It was just smash my face into this and itll die ha.

Yeah I suppose your right, try hardcore and I bet you'll rethink this easy beta!...But again we should all hold are tounges untill after release or we might end up with our feet in our mouths

If you stay up to date with blues, they have said the first part of act 1 should be so easy your grandmother can do it. It will grow harder VERY fast.
The game will get harder and hard, and inferno, is where its going to be.
Also the story is going to get a LOT more deep as you move on, if you care about towns and the people, wait till act 2.
I am pretty sure the OP is just trolling and you all fell for the bait.
Who would actually feel the need to be challenged by the first 3 levels in the game? This game is designed with scaling difficulty??
gg?
profit?
Not trolling haha, I tried HC and that too was easy. I did run into 1 incident where I was level 6 with starter gear on and ran into champions and other packs of monsters by myself with DH in the catacombs lv 3 and had to maneuver around to kill them. Also the first "3 levels" of Diablo 2 compared to this were much harder, now if the monsters get harder later on then that is great, I don't see it happening that much because of how the skill system is working. Like I said, just smash your face at the monster and it dies, little strategy was required for anything, and I don't see it being any different at higher level.
Also another thing bothering me is this "MILLIONS OF COMBOS" for the skills. Look at the skills, they are very limited. You play the Wizard and it is well..you are this level so you can only use this skill. Oh you leveled..so now you get this skill. There are no options till late in the game and even then it is only like the top tier skills, I can't make a fire sorc or a cold sorc or a lightning sorc.. I can only play 1 type of sorc really. It feels very small to me. The runes didn't so jack to persuade me into thinking I was different from other players either. If I can't get that feeling through the first 13 levels then why the hell would I get that later on? Didn't need 60 levels to get that feeling in D2.

I don't think you played the same game as us. When you say you feel like there are no options.... what do you think it was in D2 when you had to put skill points in your spells, and the more you spread your points, the weaker it was?
I don't understand how your mage felt like all the others, just look at the 3 signatures spells and you'll have 3 completly different way of playing. Sorry if you want to play a "fire" or "frost" mage like in 2000 with D2, but the mage in D3 is a different class that combines different schools of magic.

Yeah well this might surprise you but this isn't D2.
This is the cream of the crop right here, what is point in posting when people are obviously so drugged by the kool-aid ha. Ill see you in game when we are all the same and it boils down the same 3-4 spells and you just face plant your keyboard to kill monsters.
