I was so excited for Diablo 3, after making a few characters and trying to lvl paragon I became very bored. The allure of Diablo was fading and I stopped playing. I was getting excited again about the new expansion with the hopes it would do to d3 what LOD did for diablo 2
My favorite parts of Diablo 2 were dueling games, trading in the trade channels, muling my items, rushing a friend, finding that crazy item that even if you didn't need it yourself you knew it was worth so much that it would buy gear for you're character in need, joining general chat and just chatting during making games, making my favorite runewords and hoping for perfect stats, auras for my party, making different characters of the same class for using different builds, SOJS, unique items being primarily what I used.
I apologize for my grammar and run on sentances.
Diablo 3 lacks most of these things and I haven't seen anything I am very excited about in reaper of souls besides the new class.
In order for me to really get excited I really want to see a few of these especially custom games and channels.
I would like to get the opinions from any diablo players who feel the same way.
I also feel like the console version can not provide a true diablo experience.
So you are not interested in a discussion with Diablo 2 players who do not feel the same way? There are those of out there who played and loved D2, although not for the same reasons, who also enjoy D3.

No I didn't say that, calm down haha.
Feel free to say what you want.
I wouldn't mind a new server with these features I am sure the popularity would be insane. This game really didn't take any of the great things from Diablo 2 besides item names (even the items which carry over don't live up to their d2 counterparts). I am sure tons of people would start from scratch If blizzard did this. The AH isn't necessarily a bad thing but the idea of trading was so much more fun than just using gold. I am okay with gold having some value but the fun was owning items which were so rare or sought after that people offered you characters worth of gear for a single item (an example I remember specificity are things such as a fury mythical sword or an ethereal cruel colossus blade of quickness with 3 sockets perfect for you're selection of runes). I loved to just hop on in my free time even for just a few meph or pindle runs and just finding something awesome randomly

At this point you should understand any of thoses features won't ever come to d3. It is just how it is I guess...
We may get some greater customisation of game types but probably not named games, the sad thing with this scenario is that it does not really let the culture of the game evolve in fact i would say the culture of D3 is pretty much non-existant compared to D2 because there not nearly the same number of opportunities for player interaction.

I am perfectly calm by the way. Just wanted to clarify what you were looking for before I typed out a long reply. All good.
