Description: Well, I'm not sure where else to put this. So, I'll put this here. About a girl named Rona and her story. Hopefully I'll finish this. I don't mind comments or criticism.
Chapter One
It's night, and stars filled up the sky. But they didn't provide the light on this night. The moon did. It was very easy to see in this night. Snow covered the ground, and the leaves were gone off the trees. Snow covered the branches, and there was the sound of animals, hibernating in harmony.
There was a loud crunch sound, and there, at the sound, was a woman in her early twenties. She has short and unkempt black hair that were just above her shoulders. Her golden slanted eyes glittered in the moonlight, and it revealed her face to be round like. Under her eyes, revealed a black mark under each in the shape of a lightning bolt. Her cheeks were easy to spot, yet weren't very big. Her lips were red and puffy, as if she had put on lipstick. Her body shape was no more or less than average. Her legs appeared to be thin, same with her arms. Every movement she made was a graceful one, as if it would wipe out an entire nation with just the swing of her arms. She looked calm, as she walked through the cold night of winter.
She stopped at an open space, and looked around. There appeared to be nothing in the cold night. She whispered a few words, and a portal opened. It was a shade of dark blue, and it swirled around, fighting time and itself. She stepped in, first her leg, then her arm, then...
Her entire body was consumed by the portal, and it disappeared once she was through.
She appeared in a dark alley, where a woman greeted her. “Welcome back, Rona!” She said happily. Rona smiled. “Thanks Terra.” Rona said. Rona started to head off, and Terra followed. “So, how was it, to be on your first mission?” She asked. Rona stopped, and Terra looked at her. “You want the truth, or the lie?” Rona asked, looking at Terra.
“The truth, please.”
“It was horrible and I didn't even understand most of the mission. They just sent me away and expected me to understand everything. It's like saying I have to trust them blindly!” Rona said, watching as that sunk into Terra.
Terra is a sorceress with red hair, and her green eyes could seduce anyone, or even kill a man just with their piercing stare. She was in the shape of an hour glass, and her lips were puffy, much like Rona's. She had red lipstick on her lips, and purple eye shadow on her eye lids. Her red hair was long and combed, unlike Rona's short and unkempt hair.
Terra looked shocked. She mostly heard from her other friends that their first mission was exciting and they couldn't wait for their next one. Rona's response hit her hard. Still, she couldn't manage to snap back, as she didn't know the mission at all. “I'm sorry about that Rona.”
“Don't be. It's not your fault.” Rona answered, and they started walking again. They were out of the valley, and into the streets of what looked like an ancient city, forgotten in the sands of time. People of all races walked freely, from drunk dwarfs to Harpies in their beautiful human forms. Even humans walked among them, and sometimes they received scowls. Everyone appeared to be going home as it was night.
After Rona said her goodbyes to Terra, she entered her house that was at the edge of town, quite away from it. It's quiet over there, in her own house. It contains many memories. Her parents lived here. They were now traveling the human world, safe and secure. That assured her. She lived an average life. Average grades, and never lower or higher. She showed some skill and was allowed to be in a low form of the government, which annoyed her. The government never made much sense to her. But she expected to life the life that they gave her forever.
She was wrong.

One rule about me: If I'm going to tolerate your insanity, you will tolerate mine.
Almost all men can stand adversity. If you want to test a mans character, give him power.
You see what power is; holding someone else's fear in your hand and showing it to them.
How long has it been? I've lost track of the days.
Rona wrote in her journal. She's drunk, and has a bottle of sake in her left hand. She gulgs down more, and spills some on the paper, ruining the ink and making it more difficult to read. She's half naked due to drunkness. She is in a stage of depression as Terra died on a mission, and her corpse wasn't found. There couldn't be a proper funeral for her.
She drank down the rest of the sake, and threw it at the other bottles. Rona grabbed another bottle of sake, drank half of it, and tried writing again. Instead, her head fell flat on the journal, and the sake spilled on it, and she started to snore.
When she woke up, she found she had ruined the ink, and her face was covered in sake and drool. Even the paper came with her face. She shook her head, and pulled her journal off her head. She was dizzy...
Rona figured she might as well go back to sleep, only this time on a nice bed, instead of her face in her journal.
But she took a quick shower before doing so, as she realized she smelled. After that, she wrapped herself in a towel, and walked to the bed. She collapsed on it, and fell asleep at once. Once she woke up, she woke up with an idea. And she decided to write down her ideas.
She grabbed a new book. That would become her journal. She ruined her last journal, which she had barely started. She wrote a quick note;
Work on stealth and speed. Train in Forbidden Forest.
She got dressed. She remembered that she had several errands to do. She's in heel less black boots that go just below her knees with red pants tucked into her boots, and a green shirt that says ROCK on it with a skull behind it. It's sleeveless. Rona ran outside, and went into town.
Despite Rona not having many friends, people have noticed a change in her. She was known before for her hot headiness and 'boyish' attitude, and now, she wasn't acting like that.
"I can see your happy today." Sancho said. Sancho is a halfling, and a good one at that. He is well known for his magical abilities.
"Well, I can't say..."
"Oh com'on, what's in your head? After Terras death you should still be sulking in that dark place of yers."
"Well, it's kinda personal..."
"Oh all right. But that won't stop me from trying to get it out of ya." Sancho chuckled.
"Ah sheesh Sancho, give me a break here!" Rona groaned. But she couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh well. I'll see you later Sancho!" Rona said, still looking at him, and waving. She was smiling and so was he. Rona turned her head forward again and set forward. She knew Sancho was serious. The only time when he didn't discover someones secret was when they died before he could figure it out, and his possessions were destroyed. He is a true master at cracking codes a secrets. She knew that if she were going to be safe, she would have to figure a way around Sancho.
But she shoved that out of her head for now. She needed to get working.
***
It was dark and misty. The darkness swirled around the dark trees that bore no leaves, but instead had snow. Rona stepped through the mist, and was bathed in the moonlight. Her golden eyes reflected off of the moons light, and even the mist seemed to flicker around her. She set her backpack on the ground. She had already memorized some of what her books had said, but she had only read what it said on how to create your own spells. Rona only wanted to create her own spells, and not follow in someone elses footsteps. And she could tell it would be long hours of practice.
It was.
Rona trained from moonhigh till dawn. So far, she has barely scratched the surface of her own ideas. Then she remembered she wanted to train on her speed and stealth. She groaned, but did so. She surprised herself by making more progress on that than making her own spells. Was she meant to be a fighter?
She shoved that past her, and picked up her backpack. She went home, and sat in her chair. She set her backpack aside, and she hardly had any energy to do even that. All she did was stare... For about five minutes. Then, she got out her new journal quickly, and wrote down some notes, then she heard a knock at the door. She sighed, a name already appearing in her head. Sancho.
She stayed there for only a moment, and then pushed her chair back, and got up. Just when she was at the door, she realized she had left her journal opened. Too late to close it now. She sighed, and open the door. There was Sancho, that same black spiked hair man who could crack anything.
Before she could say anything, he spoke; "Do not go outside tonight." He said, then walked off.
He really shouldn't have said that. Really, he shouldn't have. Because, tonight, she did. She went out to train. She liked pushing peoples buttons sometimes, and she guessed it was that time to do so. Besides, she would work on speed and stealth, and that spell. She completed it just in time, because she could hear something.
Her spell revolved around earth, and she merged with it. It could make it nearly impossible, if not impossible to detect her. She became part of the earth just in time. As she saw the patrols, she could tell they weren't ordinary. They were high leveled sorcerers who were well armored. They almost never sent out patrols like that.
"Nothing." One of the sorcerers said.
"Good, we'll report back. Nothing of danger. We can proceed as planned." Another one said. And they headed off. Little did they know that Rona, that same hot headed tomboy who grew to be one of the most beautiful woman in the land, was following them back to the governments headquarters.

What Rona saw wasn't really a surprise. Actually, most of it was what everyone could see almost any day in the week. But, it's what was behind those everyday things that shocked her.
Well, she was more surprised in the laboratory than in any other room. The sorcerers left the laboratory without glancing at anything, which made Rona want to spit at them. How could they not look at any of this as important? This sickened her.
Rona took an interest in what was on the tables. Sure, there were tubes with different colored chemicals, but she found herself interested in the books. She started from where she knew, and was enhanced in such knowledge. But, there was a creak that disturbed her reading. A sorcerer?
She quickly placed the book on the table and molded into the ground, and saw it was a sorcerer. “There was someone here....” He mumbled. His old voice ran through the room as he eyed it. Rona flinched. How could he have known she was there?
In her fear, she wanted to escape. She wanted, no, needed to get out. There was no time to think. She tried getting out, but some force lifted her, and she was being held by a magical force. “Found it! I'm calling...”
Rona couldn't really be put to blame. She was afraid and confused. Suddenly, she reached out her arms, and lightning burst out of both of her arms. They collided into the man, and she was no longer held by the magical force. She ran out as quickly as possible, not knowing what became of the man. She ran out of town, and into the plains that were banned from us to ever go. She didn't know where she was heading, and all night, she ran non-stop. At the crack of dawn, Rona stopped, and fainted right then and there, in the middle of nowhere.

The next day, Rona woke up, only to look at the rising sun. It would have been heroic if she had thought: Where am I? But in truth, her only thought was; Oh look, it's dawn. And she fell face down towards the ground again, exhausted. She passed out again the moment she closed her eyes and fell to a dreamless sleep.
Two small figures walked up to Rona, and one poked her. “Lookie! It's one of em'.... Durr....” The first one started.
“THOSE GRASS PEOPLE!” The second one interuppted joyfully.
“What's a Grass People doin' in the middle of the field?” The first one asked.

“Oh, right. This is why your the smarter one.”
“Thank you.” The second one said with pride.
“WHAT ARE YOU IDIOTS DOING?” Another voice boomed.
“Oh, we're just lookin' at this here Grass People!” The first one squeaked, pointing at Rona.
“You two are truly the Stupid Brothers. First of all, it's Nymph, and Nymphs really don't interact with grass, and second, SHE IS NOT A FREAKING NYMPH! Now, we need to take her back. She shouldn't be here right now. She's probably freezing inside right now.” The third voice hissed.
“YES SIR!” The Stupid Brothers shouted. The first one picked her up, and the second one helped the first one support her. The two, along with the third, who did nothing to help, headed in another direction, further and further from Sandigord, Rona's old home.
Rona woke up in a weird room, feeling tired. She thought; Oh look, it's the afternoon. She was about to pass out again when a bright light shined into her eyes, and she covered them with her arms. Her upper body shot up.
“I'm up! I'm up!” She said, rubbing her eyes. She removed her hands and the bright light shined in her eyes again, making her squint. It took her several moments for her eyes to adjust, then she saw a tall man in a black cloak, black pants, and black boots. Instead of a friendly hello, Rona pointed at him and said; “Angst much?”
The man looked at her, and his green eyes pierced her. He walked towards her and sat in the chair next to the bed. “How do you feel?”
“WE SAVED YOUR LIFE!” The first Stupid Brother shouted with pride.
“WOULD YOU BE QUIET?!”
“SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!” The man shouted so loud that Rona flinched. This was obviously not a man a woman could easily toy with. The man turned to Rona again. “I've forgotten my manners. My name is Detara. Yours?”
Rona chuckled. “Detara?” She suddenly burst out laughing. “What kind of name is that?!”
“It's my name.” Detara snarled, and it wasn't human. “Don't you forget it.” Rona stopped short. He was serious. She cleared her throat, which was dry. “I'm Rona.” She said, licking her dry lips. Detara leaned back on his chair. He pointed to the first Stupid Brother. “Bongii,” He said, his voice full of authority. “Get Rona a glass of water.” It'd be nice if I'd get a lemon with it!
“A get a lemon. Cut into four pieces. NOW!” Rona could see Bongii shuffle off reluctantly to get what Detara requested - or ordered- before he gets shredded by Detara's words.
“So, where are you from Rona?” Detara asked, no longer pointing at Bongii. He was surprised to see Ronas I'm-So-Surprised-It's-Obvious-look. “What?” Detara asked.
“You read my mind?” Detara shrugged at this. “A little.”
Rona sighed. Great. Now she was dealing with a mind reader. “Fine, I'm from Sandigord.”
“That place?” Detara asked. Rona nodded. “That place has some serious problems.” Detara said.
“What do you mean?”
Suddenly, Bongii came in with Rona's water, with four cut up lemons in it.
“Here's your water.” He said with an annoyed look. Rona laughed, and Detara smacked his forehead. “Not like that you idiot!” Detara said, about ready to strangle him.
“No, it's alright Detara. I'll live.”
“Did you wash it? And did you wash your hands?” Detara asked.
“Yes! Do you think I'm an idiot!” Bongii growled.
“What do you think we call you the Stupid Brothers for?”
“HEY!” Bongii and his other brother shouted, with an annoyed and ticked expression. Rona laughed, and took the cup-with-too-many-lemons-in-it. “Come with me.” Detara gestured to Rona. Rona got up, careful not to spill any water, and followed Detara.

“Get Rona a glass of water.”
It'd be nice if I'd get a lemon with it!
One rule about me:
If I'm going to tolerate your insanity, you will tolerate mine.
Almost all men can stand adversity. If you want to test a mans character, give him power.
You see what power is; holding someone else's fear in your hand and showing it to them.
