The only way I would stop picking up trash is if it sold for zero gold.

Liquid Cooled Intel I7 2700k OC'd to 5.0ghz at a max pull of 1.44v ~ 19-21C Idle ~ 68C max under load.

Not a big problem for me, except when I want to pick up potions (and there's like 4 useless items by its side). Still, nothing a little half second pause can't solve.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to have said option (still some "whites" were better than some blues in my beta playthrough, so yeah, I'm hoping this happens throughout the game too).
pressing a bunch of additional keys is only a quick fix when the default behavior should be "don't pick a damn thing".

yeah sure... when you kill an enemy and an item randomly pop up, it's my fault if my cursor happen to be under it when it drops -_-;

And then you should have to type "YES PICK UP THIS ITEM" in all caps into a dialog box.
- hold shift key (with standard keybindings)
- use that "force move" button
- click and hold mouse button to move
- use right mouse button to move
