They have confirmed there will be expansions for SC2, D3 and WoW. So they have a long-term goal in mind for every game they produce, thus, there will most likely always be a need to hire more. I don't think this reflects the game's stage.
didn't think of it this way but i definitely agree with this. the storyline was done, or they wouldnt have had all the acts in production. this could be part of the end-game content they're planning, or even better, for the expansion plans. one way or another, we'll know much more about how fast Diablo III is progressing in a week (can't believe it's so soon).
on the ads for jobs for unannounced games i remember before Diablo III was announced they had job ops saying "The team behind Diablo and Diablo II is looking for etc etc". And more recently they only said "We're looking for X for our Next-Gen MMO".
