I don't get it. You hate me so much that me likeing PO is a bad thing?
She misunderstood what you were saying. It's the lack of reading comprehension I mentioned about this place.
EDIT
Here you go:
Tim Sweeney took the stage to show off a few new improvements to the Unreal Engine 3. First he spoke about ambient occlusion technology. This allows the geometry of an object and its surroundings be taken into account for shadows. The result is a truer representation of light reflections. We saw this with both environments and characters and the improvement is drastic to say the least ... new Unreal Engine 3 technology makes it possible. This leaves open the possibility for massive battles ... there can now be hundreds of enemies storming the screen ... specular and environmental reflections on the water and more realistic splashes and waves were shown to highlight dynamic fluid surfaces.
First things first, that engine is adaptable to any situation.
Secondly, do not for two seconds state what kind of graphics D3 will have. There is no telling what Blizzard will pull out with the amount of money they have financing their projects now.
Thirdly, while the engine was released a few years back, it is in fact new, just like the Source engine is. Every 6 months or so, they release an update to the engine. With the UT3 engine, they are adding new facial animation software which makes the real time animation look very close to prerendered stuff you see in movies and CGI.
Source is also being updated with the new Havok 5.5 update which will allow deformable terrain and destructible objects, similar to red faction. Along with this, it's getting a completely new cloth animation system that looks incredible.
The only engine out currently that can compete with the UT3 engine is cryengine2 and it doesn't perform well enough to be used mainstream.
Most people on here don't have beefy systems so they are praying for the game to use a dated, poor looking engine in hopes they might actually be able to play. I on the other hand hope they use an engine that recommends 2 GB of ram and at least 512MB on the videocard.
I've done extensive research into all sorts of computer engines so if you'd like to argue with me, you've picked the wrong dude.
UT3 Engine is an FPS engine, it would not fit an RPG game because it's disbalanced against many instances...
No it's not. Read up on the engine before you make generalized comments. Just because a majority of the games coming out on the engine happen to be games where you shoot things, it doesn't mean the engine is strictly for FPS type games.
Don't start an argument with me, just go look up some information on the engine.
