Well first of all, Hellfire doesn't count as part of the series as has been officially mentioned a few times. So the Hellfire monk and bard wouldn't count.
But even if they were considered, I don't think a bard / something else would make a great Diablo character. Skills like "search", "lock pick" and "identify" seem fairly useless when you consider how fast-paced the action in D3 is going to be. And unless I'm missing something, isn't the barbarian already the game's dual wielder?
And I don't understand how the Wizard is Sorcerer + Amazon? Is it cos of that slow time orb thing which resembles slow missiles? The Amazon was bow and javelins focused, personally I don't see any resemblance at all to the Wizard. I'm interested in what made you think that.
Sorry if I seem really negative and against this theory, it's quite well thought out, but it just doesn't make much sense to me. I actually like rogues who can hide in shadows and backstab, and break into locks and all that (just like Baldur's Gate :D) but I can't see that fitting into the fast hack n slash action of D3.
