Cherie and I talked last night, and there is a possible chance of starting a secondrun, but its way too soon to tell, we need to see how this goes first.

As I said, the exact date isn't quite fixed yet. But I'm thinking either this Wednesday night (depending on the condition of Murderface, JayKay and myself), or Friday evening since I'll defintely have a long playing time their. =)

Yeah Murder, where are the invites? You totally read my mind though, thanks bro' for making that group. Who knows? Maybe it'll be more successful than the ikariam one. =/
As for inviting, only allow the 8 who have signed up in, as well as Zhar because he'll be "coming off the bench" incase anyone needs to be replaced.

Well that was touched on in the "balancing" rule point I made. Ah I just reread, I thought I mentioned it but I guess it wasn't really discussed, thanks Maggie.

Thanks Maggie for the heads up. I'm gunna edit the first post creating a new slot in the sign up forms for timezones. If yu haven't notified me yet on it, please do so asap.
And Magnum, care to leave some input on my discussion?

One becomes strong when they are fighting to protect someone close to them... - Shiro Haku
Okay so by the looks of it, we now have 8 of us signed up ready to do this. We have 1 of each character, and Maggie has not decided yet.
I have the first few rules there so far, but of course I'll defintely need t add to that. But I would like t go over some things with everyone first, get input with how ths should run. Because of course, input is equal to output, as we say in the basketball world.
So like some of you began discussing, we are indeed starting all fresh. All new characters, level 1, NO items from other characters will be transferred over.
Now this is where I'm going into more 'technical' rules, outlinng the gameplay. I want to keep this fun, to keep it fun we need to make sure everything runs smoothly (no asshats, crashes, etc.) to play relatively often and regularly, as well as balanced.
Point 1: To make sure we have no asshats, lets not get moody with each other, do anything stupid and out of hand. We ALL stick together, and stay on the same level at all times. Try to keep offtopic talking out of the picture. I love talking as much as the next person, but the thing is, talking will waste time and time is a hard thing to synchronize between 8 people tha potentially live in different timezones.
Point 2: To keep the gameplay smooth, we ALL stay in the wilderness until every member says the "key" word, which will allow all of us to go to town to recoup and gather ourselves. Another major thing is the shared stash. I BEG OF YOU ALL, DO NOT touch the shared stash while ingame, or else when one person leaves, we ALL crash and lose our saved data. SO like seriously, try to have the content in your shared stash at zero (if i recall correctly, just having stuff in the SS increases chances of crashes), and don't even open up your shared stash. However, you are allowed to use the normal stash as well as the multiple pages within it.
Point 3: I think most of us live in the U.S.A. or Canada, and at that in the same timezone (GMT-5, aka EST). I know Daemaro is an hour behind us (GMT-6), but that shouldn't be too muc of an issue. This is why I want to know everyone's timezone. At the moment I've been thinking about having preset dates and times for our games, maybe weekend nights from 10:00pm to 12:00pm Saturdays (of curse depending if people are busy etc etc), and predetermined weekdays from 9:00pm to 10:00pm? The times I am sepaking of, though, is GMT-5 time, so please convert it to your own time compare. IF anyone of you don't think you'd be able to make it on regular times, PLEASE post here and update us on it.
Point 4: Balancing. This means that no one is to play these specefic characters outside of our world. ALl of us *should* be the same level at the sametime (of course there will be the issue of the expshrine and whatnot). So with shrines, I think we should take turns and whatnot, thisis defintely up for discussion with y'all though. Another issue with balancing, PLEASE don't think of your character as an individual, think of the team first, and how you're supposed to contribute to it to help us get further more quickly, safely and effeciently. So if you're a tank, be sure to spend points in health and strength, so you live longer. Whats the use of a tank and melee char if they die easily and let all the other minions through to attack us that can't actually defend ourselves? One last point for balancing, PLEASE do no NOT transfer items over. Use the items we find in our adventures. This will boost communication with each other, we can share items and whatnot. If people are wanting the same weapon, we'll discuss it in game as a group. Of course I bet y'all could sneak in items to your characters behind everyone's back and none of us would ever know, but there is no honor in that, plus it takes away the challenge from everything and makes it less fun for us all.

Alright, listen up everyone! On the DiabloII: Lord of Destruction Mod known as "Eastern Sun", we will be starting up an adventuring run-through from Normal all the way to hell difficulty.
The basic idea of this activity is:
- Have 8 people from these forums to come together, and each create a different character so that our party has variation and different strategies in it
-Boost the teamwork of the people that join us in this quest of holy truth!
-To uhhh have fun?
My hopes in this:
1. Well being realistic, I realize that getting 8 of us on at the sametime in a semi-regular fashion for a long period of time will be incresdibly difficult - so I envision this dieing relatively quickly. But I'll remain optimistic, as this will be lots of fun. Maybe we can pull thiss off an hour every night or something? Or maybe everyother night?
2. That when we finish picking our roster, that we'll all be different and diversified, but still coherent and work well together! Coagulation, ftw!
3. To see 8 people actually come together and actually go through the majority of this difficult mod, especially at the very beginning!
Sign-Up Sheet:
1. Diablofans.com username?
2. Hamachi Server username?
3. Character?
4. Character Name?
5. Character's Role in the Party?
6. Your timezone?
Rules: (So Far, No finished)
1. Loyalty is a must. We udnerstand that everyone here has lives (despite beings freaks, but whatever), but this grand, holy mission of ours requires all 8 of us to stick through it all for as long as we can. In other words, don't just sign up and then go "Eh I give up".
2. Sign ups are first come first serve, please post here.
3. No one post the Hamachi name and/or passwrd on these forums at all, keep it private at all times. The Hamachi server we will be using for our party of 8 will remain private for our group. it'll help in the long run.
4. For no, no more than 1 of each type of character. The first 7 sign ups must all be of different characters unles you get special permission via moi.

If you picked up an item you don't need with that character, or if a teammate could use it more than you, then for the sake of our team, give it to the other player. This is another issue with having an asshat on our team, if you have an item like discussed, don't ask for an item in return for a trade or something, we're a team, family, group, orgy, whatever. We may be 8 seperate characters, but we operate as one, a whole. As Stormy has wisely stated in her signature: "Give, expecting nothing thereof".
Point 5: The play amung us who has the lowest ping will be chosen to host the game via hamachi.

As for when we start, maybe next week or so, when everything is organized and ready. =/
