posted a message on 500 Blood Shards - Helms (Video)
More blood shards? Yes please! Today I look at helms and discuss the possible differences between gambling for class specific helms (Voodoo Masks, Wizard Hats, Spirit Stones) vs. general ones.

posted a message on 40+ Legendary And Set Items Identified (Video)
Today I pop 43 legendary and set items that I've been farming up the past few days. Beyond being an exercise in patience, my goal was to show you guys loot distribution in a larger than usual sample size (most people ID their items immediately).

I talk about RNG, luck streaks, the rarity of end game items, legendary plans, and why you shouldn't get discouraged or think something is broken just because you don't find anything in a few runs.

On average a single T4 run will net you 1.5-2 combination of legendary/set items or forgotten souls when you also factor in gambling. From my sample size, I was getting closer to 2 per run. How much that is per hour depends on your gear and clear speed.

Enjoy and good luck on your item hunt!

posted a message on T3 Solo Frost Wizard Build (Video)
As requested, here's a video of me soloing T3 Rifts using my Frost Wizard build. It's fairly straightforward. No gimmicks, just cookie cutter damage. It can be done with all rares. A 2k+ DPS weapon is the only legendary 'necessary' to progress to higher Torment difficulties efficiently.

I discuss a couple build variations, their pros/cons, and talk more about Black Hole and passive AP regen possibilities with 3-piece Tal Rasha's. Enjoy!

posted a message on Proper Toughness Stacking (Video)
My previous video about where to put Paragon points got some interesting feedback and a bit of confusion about Toughness as a whole. Today I discuss in more detail why a lower Toughness value is often better than a higher one, due to how it's calculated and what the implications are for sustain (life on hit, life regeneration, etc).

With RoS just around the corner, lower hitpoint/higher resist/armor/other mitigation builds are going to be more effective and I explain why.

I really appreciate stuff like this, but I don't want to spend 30 minutes watching a video on a single build. Any way you can condense the presentation or put some notes in the forum post?
I go through all the skills and explain them in detail so you can try several variations. I could just as easily make a 60 second video without any voiceovers, and then have everyone ask me nonstop questions about what I'm doing, why, and how. If you don't want to take the time to watch the entire thing over a food break or something, don't, but then you won't get a core understanding of WHY skills work how they do and WHY some are more powerful than others, even if they don't appear to be on paper.

This is a huge problem nowadays with video guides. I think the whole reason people started doing them and watching them is because with editing you could condense the whole message/point of the video into a very reasonable time frame. Since the time of good videos people have went lazymode and used Youtube as a dump site for their stream vods (that's what it looks like to me, at least), and gotten away with very little effort themselves.

This way the video quality is ABSOLUTE garbage to the point of being nearly unwatchable, or at the very least very painful to watch. If you're making videos on Youtube, why the hell would you just talk random bullshit for 30 minutes to an hour instead of actually make a plan for the video, edit it properly and voiceover it? This way a 30 minute video can be condensed into a 5-7 minutes easily.

Every time someone posts a video with a webcam and no editing I *beep* get cancer. Could people once again learn to separate Twitch and Youtube from each other? Youtube =/= Twitch. Stream on Twitch, make proper, enjoyable videos on Youtube. If you don't plan on making videos of any reasonable quality, don't make 'em! That simple. Effort equals success, and being lazy means less views, likes and subs, too.

And as a final note for this entirely deserved rant directed at not just Mikhail, but to all the other million other people doing this as well, I am SO not watching your videos.
See my response above. Don't want to watch it? Don't. No one is forcing you. But there's a reason this is a 30 minute video and if you spent the time watching it instead of ranting about it, you'd understand why. Thank you for your feedback.

How about using this item also? :) would make the hydras even more helpful

Yes, yes it would. Just haven't found one yet. This with ROF (piercing) would be beast mode.

posted a message on T6 Act 3 Solo - Frost Wizard OP (Video)
Finally geared up enough (broke 1 mil Toughness at ~350k DPS) to solo the XP route in Act 3 on Torment 6. Keep Depths 2 + Rakkis Crossing both have high density and choke points you can use to your advantage.
The frost build relies on Mirror Images and Slow Time for permanently slowed mobs with plenty of freezes and stuns, both of which are mandatory in Torment 6 with lower gear if you want to live.

This is a first proof of concept video to show you guys that it can be done and what kind of game mechanics you'll most likely be using. It doesn't require any 2.0 legendaries, so anyone can gear up for this. With certain items like Winter Flurry and Frostburns, this build will become truly OP. I hope to have another video soon after I acquire better gear to do this more efficiently, along with group farming for sick XP.

posted a message on Crafting in 2.0 – How to Prepare NOW (Video)
Hi guys, I posted this on the D3 forums and thought I'd share it here too. With rumors of 2.0 being released less than 2 weeks from now, I did another PTR copy to test out the latest version of crafting.

I put together this video for you guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLfvZRbE2YE

It’s about 50 minutes long because I wanted to show the process and explain some interesting finds and latest undocumented developments. I suggest you watch the whole thing (including the T1 facemelting near the end), but if you don’t have time here’s a summary:

    TL;DR

        - Shoulder, chest, and bracer slots will be replaced almost immediately. BiS items in these slots on Live are worthless.
        - Shoulders: 300 main stat, 200 vit, need 1 more stat (AR/armor/life %) to make it better than anything out there now.
        - Chest: 300 main stat, 200 vit, just need 3 sockets and AR or armor and you have a GG equivalent.
        - Bracers: 300 main stat, all you need is crit and it’s better than 99% of items already. Doable in under 10 crafts. Add 200 vit + AR or armor and it’s BiS.
        - Gloves will take a bit longer. You need 2 out of 3 CC/CD/AS. AS is nerfed in 2.0 on 60 rares, so if you have trifecta gloves you may be wearing them for a while.
        - Amulets can’t (currently) be crafted in 2.0 because of the Forgotten Soul requirement (a higher end version of the Brimstone), so craft yourself a decent one now or buy one.
        - Weapons and offhands aren’t really worth it because your chance of getting a double damage roll + socket + CD is very slim. Most weapons roll around 800 dps – hardly worth it.
        - Demonic Essences appear to have a ‘conversion boost’. I did my PTR copy with around 600 and ended up with over 2000. Not sure if bug, Blizzard trolling, or legit, but that’s how it is right now.
        - White items salvage into 3-10 Common Debris. This is the new required material for crafting rares.
          - Load up on i63 white items. Ideal is ‘High Scabbard’ belt because it’s the only i63 item that takes up 1 slot, but unless you want to farm ~1000 of them just load up with any i63 items. Weapon/armor makes no difference – salvaging results are randomized.
    - Buy up Exquisite Essences and Iridescent Tears in a 2:1 ratio (2 Essence: 1 Tear). If you’re crafting all 4 pieces, you need about 2:1.- Save up a decent chunk of gold. 100M should be enough to replace all 4 slots with near-BiS crafts. Personally I’m shooting to have 1B by the time RoS goes live.

I’m excited for 2.0 and I really hope we have 3-4 weeks to play with it, especially since items that drop (i.e. legendary weapons) will have value at 70 because you’ll be able to re-roll the damage stat.

Hope you guys like the video, I learned some interesting things while making it. This is my first one and longer than expected, but moving onward they will be shorter and more concise.
