Wow... they did kind of take the moon DIRECTLY from google and throw it in there just rotated. :D

    Our moon rotated:

I gotta say I was kinda disappointed to see the Barbarian returning. And as the highlight class as well. Is a little originality too much to ask? Sure lots of people love it but I liked the transition of D1 to D2. Basically every class was new. Would have liked to see that in the D2-D3 transition as well. I was, however, pleased to see the Witch Doctor, because it's an all-new, and quite interesting class. It seems like more of the same after D2's 7 classes, but honestly, the Zombie Wall more than makes up for it. I would totally want to see what the other heroes from D2 are like. Hopefully they will return as NPC's. And anyway, the Blizz formula for success (1/3 old, 1/3 new and 1/3 of something borrowed from other games(was it?)) isn't a perfect one. At least for me. For classes I would have wanted to see 3/3 new for the classes part :)

Yeah man it bothered me big time... I called in sick to work today after reading your post because I was so bothered by the moon showing a remarkable likeness to our own moon in the cinematic trailer... I was curled up in the fetal position all day sobbing like a baby screaming WHY WHY WHY ???

    Get a Life you IDIOT....

    Awesome post:thumbsup:
Do I sense the banhammer nearing?

Now more seriously, Sanctuary has always struck me as similar to Earth. The moon only adds to that and thus doesn't exactly bother me, more like makes me feel more "at home". Which is why I support a certain group. (Please refrain from making unnecessary comments about this)

You know... In a way the final campaign in Frozen Throne was a preview for Diablo 3. The first hero, Rexxar is a barbarian with a hammer in one hand and an axe in the other

Sorry. He had an axe in each hand:offtopic:

He never brought up single/multi target attacks, Oakwarrior. Stop bringing in discussions from other threads.

What? A little loud thinking and the thought police comes along?

Anyhoo, Daemaro has a point, but I still wouldn't readily say it fits the barbarian...

Well, hopefully it won't be as powerful or über or whatever in the final version. But I too, am afraid that single target attacks are extinct. All we saw was one AoE skill after another killing tens of monsters. Hopefully it was just for show:rolleyes:

    Heaven.

If I had to choose. I would rather see Sanctuary remain in the hands of men, but Heaven is less inclined to obliterate and dominate everything, and everyone.

Uhh, Heaven was the first of the two to want to destroy Sanctuary. AFAIK they still want it blown to smithereens. Hell just wants it as their own.

Sanctuary's side, is where I'd be as well :P

Well since Heaven wants to destroy Sanctuary... I'd play Hell (they only want to conquer it :P )

I'd have to say that it was a good speculative article (even considering all the FSS vs. Blizzard "facts" were wrong, since comparing promises and 10 minutes of gameplay can hardly be even CONSIDERED as solid material), a nice read.

I'd like something entirely new. The Barbarian was somewhat of a disappointment (but I like it nonetheless), because it's been in a Diablo game already.

posted a message on Scrap uniques (maybe runewords too), improve rares and crafting.
    Quote from name="Elfen Lied" »
The problem was that rune words, especially the 1.11 ones, made all previous uniques, crafted and even runewords no longer worth the trouble of finding/making them.

Uniques were, at one point, really powerful and useful. Enigma basically killed that, as did BOTD.

I love uniques, but it needs to be more like Diablo 1. were they were truly powerful and you wanted to use them. You shouldn't be able to buy a magic item that is better than a Unique. And Rune Words really should be better than Uniques either. Sets are ok, as they do not get super powerful until you piece together part of, if not the whole set.

Crafted could be better than uniques in some cases, as it requires some work. But no more piss easy to put together rune words that make all previous items void.

I agree totally. The Diablo 1 Uniques were truly unique. And the nifty pop-up screen wasn't the thing that made them unique, it was the features like "unusual item damage" and really nice enchantments. Every item felt and looked like a truly unique weapon, whereas in Diablo 2 I mostly toss away uniques because most of them are useless or less powerful than rare or set or even magic items:(
