Misery loves company.
Seriously, mods, can we just make a forum for whining and hand wringing? It's getting a bit out-of-control of late. I come here to discuss the game, not to hear <forumgoer who doesn't post except once every three months to whine about loot #789878769111> whine about the SAME SHIT ALL OVER AGAIN.
Can we keep this a bit cleaner than the B.net forums? I'd hate to think that this place gets so bad that the subforums are the only worthwhile place to post and get decent information. But that's the direction we're headed... again.

lunasky posted a message on In depth guide for Inferno Ranged Barbarian1.04 -Spartan BulidPosted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
What you need to make this bulid work
1) The Three Hundredth Spear + Socket is desirable
2) Belt with -5 Fury Cost for Weapon Throw + 3.00 Lifesteal is desirable
3) The Passives Ruthless, No Escape & Bloodthrist
4) It would also be desirable for your crit to be around 32% and crit hit damge 200% and above.
Strengths of the Bulid
*Doing Similar or more damage than a barb with dualwielding or using a 2hander but having the survivability of a tank spec. It is equally as fast due to the movement speed on weapon and aoe experience gain from Weapon Throw rune Dread Bomb.
* Its cheap to gear up and the gear / playstyle is probably useful when pvp comes out.
How does it work
Basically it shares the same concept as WOW warrior class when you execute mobs.Bash with instigation generates 12 per hit, you throw weapon for 5 fury. you can also gain fury from War Cry + Ancient Spear
How do you heal
Life steal due to huge aoe damage from Dread Bomb + weapons skill damage bonus
Ancient Spear - Dread Spear rune heals for 60% dmg + Passive No Escape resets cooldown if crits.

Holycrepe posted a message on Diablo III is dead.I am in my early 40's, I played alot of Diablo on my playstation, Diablo 2 and LOD on the PC, and now alot of Diablo 3.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I remember many glitches and issues with Diablo 1. I remember alot of problems with Diablo 2 and LOD in the periods after the launches, and I remember alot of patching and tweaking to make them the game that lasted as long as it did, even then, they kept changing and adding things into the game for many years after the intial releases.
Diablo 3 is by far the most polished of them all, it has issues, and by all I have read, many of those issues are going to be addressed to some level in 1.0.4, and then PVP and other things to be added along with more changes in 1.1, even then there will be more issues found, and I am sure there will be many more fixes and changes down the road. -

Warguyver posted a message on [GUIDE] How to become a sucessful and exceptional barbarian on inferno difficultyKind of a silly guide when I read 700+ resist for act 3, 1k+ for act 4. THIS IS SO WRONG, 700ish ALL RESIST IN ACT 3 INFERNO IS SUICIDE. Have you done either of these acts on inferno? If not, don't make a guide about it.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
You need at least 950+ all resist for act 3, 9.5k+ armor, and 1000ish life on hit. That said, Act 4 is not significantly more difficult than act 3. You can probably do act 4 as well with similar stats.
Seismic slam is terrible, and ignore pain is not 100% necessary. Seismic slam (shattered earth) will only help you with trash, it does practically nothing vs elite packs (which your build should be designed around). If you can't tank and spank the trash mobs, then your gear is not sufficient for that act, and thusly you shouldn't even be attempting it.
Ignore pain is not a bad skill, but there are simply too many better barbarian skills to justify picking it up when you're soloing.
Warcry, Revenge, and Frenzy are 100% necessary. Leap (iron impact) is essentially a better ignore pain (if you're at 9.5kish armor, then it'll bring you from 75%~ reduction to 90~%, which is 60% reduction for 4s every 10s). However, leap is far better due to 1) 10s cool down vs 30 2) mobility and 3) the ability to disjoint projectiles/freezes. There is literally zero reason to take ignore pain over leap.
Threatening shout is amazing, as it's practically a flat 20% damage reduction.
This leads you to your last skill, which could be ignore pain, but I find furious charge (dreadnought) to be much better. Here's why: say you're facing an elite pack that you can't tank and spank. If you chose ignore pain over furious charge, then you'd leap (wait 4s) --> ignore pain --> leap for roughly 15 seconds of immunity. However, after those 15s you're probably surrounded and dead. Alternatively, you could leap --> ignore pain --> leap out and then kite for 30s and repeat. This feels extremely inefficient, especially if the pack is nightmarish/frozen where you may not get in much damage in 11s.
If you took furious charge, then you could leap (4s) --> fight until you're low/surrounded --> furious charge out (for a full heal usually). Now you can kite for a few seconds, and leap in again shortly and repeat. You're not letting yourself get surrounded, and you don't have to kite for 30s waiting for ignore pain. Further, you can use furious charge to disjoint frozen if you're good with timing allowing you to extend time that you can be dealing damage. -
