Well, regardless to how Blizzard is designing the game (trust me, I understand it is a PvE game), Dennis and Kevin plan to spend a lot of their time playing in the arena as I feel many other will do as well. This is what makes the game fun for them.
As for me, I do not like PvP. I would prefer to kill demons than other players. Luckily for those of us like me, 95% of the game is catered towards us.
Let them be happy with their measly 5% of the game
But seriously guys, you have to talk about some PvE in my absence
Agreed! Rep for you!
PvE is one of the most challenging & fun aspects of Diablo, especially in Hell or Nightmare.
More so in groups than solo where everyone has to do his/her part to survive & get those uber loots.
Can't wait for new screenshots now that we've hit 1mil FB likes! - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Now early generation handguns are actually no better than crossbows and are worse off in fact.
The gameplay clearly shows crossbow shots and not pistol shots, you can see the bolts flying off towards the enemy.
The key thing here is that 20 years have passed since the events of D2!
20 years can bring around lots of technological advances!
Especially when the whole world of Sanctuary was prepared for an invasion from the Burning Hells.
I don't think mankind and the likes will sit around waiting for the Demons and what-nots to invade without proper preparation!
Still this is my 2 cents take on the plot, lore and technological stuff we might see in the game.

Thanks but this image was from Age of Mythology.
I think it's the Norse God Freyja or something...
The female barb doesn't look that pleasant... lol :teehee:

I tend to do poorly at spellcasting archtypes and do better at melee or range combat.

Good to hear that it feels relatively done!
One more year, I hope, before release!!

Range attacks could be a skill tree on its own. Marksmanship skills, some range buffs, etc...
Other skill trees could be some Shadowy form of martial arts (think of the Rogue in D&D) where stealth (moving around undetectable) for a period of time plays a crucial part. You can't kill what you can't see right? Heh...
Or some kind of favourite/hatred enemy skill tree (think of Rangers in D&D) where bonuses apply to a group/category of enemies, undead, beasts, demons, etc... Some crowd control skills here would be awesome, in case players decide to go close combat instead of range.
My 2 cents

If that fails, FIFTH CLASS!!
If that fails, at least show us the last boss... Or the cinematics just before the last boss...

3) Witchdoctor
2) Monk
4) Wizard
5) Unknown Class
Order will change upon announcement of 5th class...

2. Cheats and rude players (in MP aspect)
3. Game instability (CTD, hangs, bugs, etc..)

The class should have close combat skills as well, high dps or massive criticals, etc...
Ideally, it should be a Rogue/Ranger/Pathfinder/Hunter archetype that should play differently from the other classes.
Something that requires more finesse than the Barbarian or Monk.
Give the specialist aura based skills that magnify the range damage, slow enemies down, etc... instead of arrow augmentation. Limit the aura radius and have abilities given to enemies that negate specific auras to spice up the challenge. I'm sure Blizzard will come up with something great.
My 2 cents

Probably a nature woodsman/tracker/hunter sort of class.
Can't wait till they announce the 5th class!
When is Blizzcon again?

Barbarian: Melee tank, meat shield, physical & critical damage
Witch-doctor: Debuff, curse, necromancy, poison & unholy damage
Wizard: Temporal, illusion, evocation, electrical, fire & cold damage
Monk: Sudden strike, combat combos, unarmed & holy damage
I would agree with others that the last class should be some kind of range type of class...
Looking at the classes now, Barbarian practically stays more or less the same with some different skills...
Witch-Doctor & Wizard are essentially Necromancer & Sorcerer respectively but with a more contemporary D&D class vibe...
Now the Monk class is like a combination of Paladin & Assassin classes...
So my guess over the next class would be somewhere along the lines of a Druid & Amazon classes....
Probably a Ranger of nature or some kind of Pathfinder that uses the surroundings to his/her advantage...
The class would be able to deal deadly range attacks, hide in the shadows, disrupt & slow enemy movement...
My guess is that this class is also able to deal bleeding damage...

I wonder how a female Monk will look like...

I like what you're thinking sir...
A Thief type class sounds unique and not done before in Diablo-verse...
Some kind of stealth, scouting behind enemy lines and backstabbing for double damage sounds nice...
And there's bound to be a healer of sorts... Hopefully, a Cleric/Priest archetype focusing more on buffing/debuffing skills than combat ones...
