Monk (named BlueTiger) - Smoke, mariner's blue, cloud
    Wiz - Smoke, purple
    Barb - Cloud, red, smoke
    DH- Cloud, Gloden
    WD - Smoke, light green

    I think I'd do that.

Not too familiar with the wizard but I'm liking the style of this build (aside from a signatureless cold wizard build) because it's not vey complicated you just use all the skills.

Cast arcance orb if you want to slow things down. Use teleport with fracture to keep enemies still while you drop conflagrating meteors.

The passive make the skills mix nicely with eachother into what I think is an easy to use build. I wondering if it's worth keeping the lightning element in the build or switching it for cold? http://us.battle.net...jQfW!ZeW!YZYZbc

    Thoughts?

posted a message on Spirit generation :|
I think if you look at the wholepicture the monk is fine. The generators (and other skills) are really powerful, I think the monk the best resource free skills because of the generators can do anything you'd want. If you don't like generators that's pretty much the foundation of the class. The reason the resource is slow is because 150 is actually a good amount of resources. In PvP with 150 spirit the monk could drop 5 lashing tail kicks for a total of 1000% dmg without any other multipliers. You can have damage coming out of both ends with a monk if you have full spirirt. If your patient every 25 hits you land leaves you full of spirirt, and if you have 1.3 attacks per second that mean about every19 seconds you can drop a spirirt bomb (no such thing as a spirit bomb). Also transcendence mean that every 19 seconds you can be healed for 17700 just for using the spirirt you were already going to use. The monk is such a versatile characters you can make into anything in terms filling roles because of its melee/magic characteristic.

I seen so many characteristics of the monk get nerfed and this all just indicated me that from the begging the only problem blizzard had with the monk was that it was too strong. Think about this, they don't want the monk to be using the most powerful 2-handed swords for a reason. They had to drops the monks dodge chance, to make it killable (mantra of evasion took enough hits) because, 2 months ago if you were (hypothetically) rocking mantra of evasion with guardians path and max dexterity youd be untouchable. I don't really have any worries about the monk because overall its recieved more nerfs than buffs compared to ther characters, which indicated to me it had to nerfed to match other characters.

I'm not totally ignorant of the disadvantage of not being able to use high dps skills on demand but this just means your spirit generator choice is very imporant because it will play a big role. And if monks have be using spirit generators for over 75% of the time, then +damage% modifiers will be important for boost the damage of your generators with some skills like foresight, blazing wrath and mantra of conviction.

TLDR: Spirit doesn't matter anyways, you'll probably find yourself in later difficulties running to nearest corner you find and spamming trident deadly reach.

posted a message on PITA Barb

Looks like it would be up your ass all game long. Ancient spear, leap and weapon throw will have ranged units typing gg so fast. I like the idea but this what I would do with the build and be the bane of my enemy's existence.

Im not a fan of sprint but I realise the barb is easier to use when its mobile. If you use relentless you'll have an easy to activate speed boost. Without sprint I'll also make weapon throw my only fury spender, keeping hammer throw maintains the stunning characteristic of the build.

I like overpower and it will work nicely with ancient spear, pull in an enemy and see how many overpowers you can let off. The increased crit chance will will add some nice dps spikes and again help ancient spear.

I know I said weapon throw would be only spirit spender and I have battle rage there, but if you are using 'into the fray' with a high crit build then battle rage will give you fury. This build is bound to crit more than once every 30 seconds. +%dmg +% crit makes it fit nicely into here. Damage is needed because of skill selection.

The last thing is ancient spear. I would use dread spear because of the high crit chance making it a nice way to replenish health. But since you have over power, if you can pull in three enemies and drop 2 overpowers then the pvp is prety much over.

TLDR : Frenzy, weapon throw, leap attack and ancient spear should enough to catch your foe, use the last two skill on making sure you take them down.

posted a message on Is it an absolute to play D1 and D2 and then D3?
My honest opinion is no, chances are if you're open to any vague genre of games that includes diablo you would have enjoyed D1 and D2 and are likely to enjoy D3. Now if you add in the nostalgic effect of playing diablo 1 & 2 when they were fresh Im inclined to guess that your are going rabid for D3 right about now.

posted a message on Overpower still usable?
Crit barb is more viable than crit anything else. Not that crits don't activate skills for other classes but the barb ones are really nice. Overpower is a gambler's dream, if you manage to unleash two or three of these you've wond the battle and still have all your fury to destroy with.

posted a message on What the hell is up with Monks armor?!?
I think it looks alright, a good dye job will do ll the armors good. I seem tohave the strongest issue with the helms, the samurai one is alright but some of the other ones lead me to feel that my monk needs a legendary helm just to look good. The shoulders look weird but I don't think they are bad. I'm not tottally fooling myself, comparitavely the monk has the worst armor. The monk never has the nicest looking model for any of the armor sets.

posted a message on AoE WotB Fury Gen Build
    Quote from Ottosen

Not to be a party pooper, but the Weapon Master passive with a mighty weapon only generates fury on fury generating attacks. If you use a mighty weapon with a fury spending attack, the passive gives you nothing.

Using Weapon Master inclines me to wield an axe. The barb (maybe even more than the other classes) has skills with a lot of potential with a high crit chance. http://us.battle.net...ePUQ!TZY!aZbbZY . Frenzy is a skill that I could see becoming my go to against strong units like champions. You chop one guys down and you have AOE skills to keep his buddies down. I think my build is lacking in defense but the life generation possibility might make up for it. Your build (THE ORIGINL POSTER NOT THE QUOTED POST) has a blood explosion with rend but I prefer slaughter on WotB. Health out of frenzy, rend and juggernaut give me freedom to micro mobs, take my time and make sure I'm always good on health. Juggernaut is going to be a skill that makes chapion packs with stunn, fear and charmed easier to manage and sometimes possible to kill. I also made overpower fuel the critical strike element of the build with killing spree , killing spree has the potential of making WotB-slaughter+Whirlwind a mean ass combo.
