I'm on the trust blizzard side of the argument. I mean come on guys. Colors are your friends! God forbid we admit the existence of a color like PURPLE in a diablo game. And there were puh-lenty of unrealistic cartoony elements in D2. Take for example how silly and vibrantly colored gemmed armor was? I dunno, as long as I'm mindlessly killing minions, I'll deal with some rainbows.

well i think we cant talk at all if we dont know the history and culture from the real Samurái once we know this , we know that the Samurái just fight for his lord and his honor , also his sword was unique and represented his own soul and if any man touch it they have a fight to death , even so the womans couldnt learn the art and the way of life of the bushido .... so basicaly you couldn sell this weapon not give to a party member or set in store or give away , and has no female gender , and at least his honor or his lord where in danger wont fight for.
If Larzuk is still living or had a apprentice that shared his vision I could see siege cannons. They'd be dangerous to use much like a most of the first cannons but it could work.
ahahaha it could be funny as hell while in game play getting close to an area whit canons and some of them imploding and some man/creatures flying arround .:D
hmm i founded a handed cannon searchin in internet here is the urlk is from the 1380's and looks like a canon is function whit powder and fire nothing that trigers and hamers

i mean not to be a regular weapon what im traying to say is that like the class is going to use it when you activate the skill you can use these kind a weapon gained whit it the skill but cannot get the weapon or sell/buy it.

in both cases i cant calculate the time ....
and the videos i have seen it like 15 times ( i think so ) looking details and videos whit modify colors (darker)....

Whats the advantage of using a bow and arrow when you can cast a spell that destroys everything on screen ala frozen orb/blessed hammer/etc or bring to life hundreds of skeletons to fight for you? Of course guns would be balanced with the rest of the weapons and there would be magical attributes just as there are for bows and swords. They may be only usable for one or two classes like daggers or bows, but they could be implimented, done well, and fit in the world.
ok this idea is starting to like me ...but only is balanced to keep the game in the same direction and only usable by some kind of hightech-bow specialist (talking in the game terms) or be a sort of skill atack from a bow/assasin/amazon class i could agree whit that.^_^
ok i get the idea but even that thi first kind of machine gun 400 years later , if in 20 years can make a powder gun the unique diference besides the sort of machine guns is the ways its shoots while both gun has little diferences ...talking if can made a powder gun that time ago or in the game age ....

badass as in totally useless then yes he is. once he becomes a merc instead of being a pussy and staying in camp, then he will have his use.

We (Me and Alpha) are talking about historically accurate guns that would fit the time frame and the era and bring a bigger sense of realism to the game, not gattaling guns
acording to your own word of realism and age there is no need to use armors cause that hits way stronger than a arrow or a trowing knife , and the uses of heavy armors and sword/shield will be lost.
that what actualy happened in our real history.
anyways after the ninvention of the weapon (gun) appered the machine gun taht where handed rotation not to late before first type of fire guns.
