posted a message on My Return to WoW
Pre-BC was one of my most enjoyable MMO experiences thus far. I pretty much spent 100% of my time played provoking World PVP. The best PVP that World of Warcraft has ever had, was also by accident(I know they didn't intend for TM vs SS or BRM). I was the asshole that would gank anyone, anytime, regardless of how many people you had. I did the long PVP grind and I got to rank 12, before my brain started to explode. I quit right before TBC was released, because I didn't like the direction the game was going.

I still follow World of Warcraft and stay updated, but I won't be playing again.

Story? LOL! There are soooo many RTS's that are identical to Starcraft and less games like Diablo so really, people would casually pay attention to Diablo's story more since it's more unique than a game like Starcraft, where you just do the exact same tihng over and over.

I was trying to avoid the argument, because I love both games, but Diablo is just click, click, and click(The same thing over and over, right)? At a competitive level, I've rarely played or used the same build over and over in Starcraft(Unless it's the standard ZvP, where the Protoss fast expos, and I 3 hatch spire into 5 hatch Hydra/Lurk).

Honestly, if you don't like Diablo, then why did you even join?

But to answer your storly line comment... Really, Diablo 1-2 have one of the most memerable storylines a game has to offer. Talk about a guy who goes through a dark and twisting journey to kill Diablo only for it to backfire. And then him going on a journey of turning into the monster that he once risked his life and soul to contain. Then having to destroy the one thing that keeps our world from falling into chaos getting destroyed. Epic? Yes. Memorable? Yes. Are you a dumb ass? Yes.

I would have to agree, Diablo(1) had one of the most memorable gaming experiences that I've experienced.

And I would have to disagree that Starcraft has many flaws(I'm talking about competitive play, fuck the campaign).

I love both franchises so I don't really care which one we get first, but being a competitive player, I've played Starcraft much much more!

Exactly, its an easy game, so why are all these people saying how awesome respecs are because itll make it easier for them? How much easier can you make it before its just boring.

Actually, this would be the first game I play for pvp. I'm too poor to afford monthly fee games so all those are out of the question. I guess that leaves guild wars, but why would I want to play a game where I get banned for swearing when someone turns off their filter and reports me, takes no thought to spec a character out, offers infinite free respecs*barf*, has super generic gear that allows everyone to walk around as a clone, and takes no effort to level to max, or just lets you start at max level with a pvp only char. I can't even hostile someone in my instance thats being a douche bag. Guess that leaves first person shooters, which I would take D2 over any day, because I love the rpg aspect of planning, gearing, and leveling a character which not everyone else can duplicate without a fair amount of game knowledge.

If you know any online rpgs with better pvp that at least allows some leeway with killing people randomly when you feel like it, and lacks a monthly fee, please let me know, I'd like to try it out.

Have they said anything about what the cost to respec will be? I'm not worried about it for D2(I don't play anymore), but I'm curious for Diablo III. Surely they won't allow free respec on the fly without any type of cost or penalty.

Sadly, there isn't any decent PVP games, free or not currently. I'm pretty much on a gaming hiatus because of the lack of decent games to play. I still mess around with Brood War every now and then, and some TF2, but pretty much I'm waiting on Diablo III or anything interesting that comes along that I don't know about.

Actually its a private server with different exp and drop rates for items. Its in no way cheating or giving you an advantage over anyone else on the server as they all have access to the same drops and exp rates. All it does is lets you mess around with high level amazingly geared characters without putting much time into it, which you yourself said you did not have a lot of. No need to get snippy when I was just suggesting a server a you'd probably enjoy buddy.

Otherwise why should the game have to be dumbed down for everyone when theres nothing wrong with it if some people can pwn hell and be competitive in pvp and others just cant becuase they can't figure it out. Contrary to your belief 10 hours a week is enough to do so. Sure you won't be on top of the ladder when it resets, one of the first through hell, or pwn any pvp games in the first week, but you'd get there.

Diablo II was never hard, so please stop with the bullshit. How is allowing respeccing "dumbing" the game down? Also, if you're a "serious" PVPER(You "PWN NOOBS", right?), I'm pretty sure Diablo is the last game you would be playing.

posted a message on Quit Wow for DiabloIII?
I raided 3 days a week Pre-BC and PVP'ED on off days and still managed to hit rank 11. I went through the same thing as you, leveling in Hillsbrad as a lone level 30 Undead Mage. I was ganked, camped, emoted on for several days, but I just laughed it off and kept playing. I was the type of player, if I saw a ?? running by on his mount, I would Fireblast him regardless if he was fucking with us or not.

When I wasn't raiding, I spent most of time ganking players at all of the hotspot's: BRM, Hillsbrad, Lights Hope/EPL. I could easily 1v3 or 1v4 bad players, but when I actually got camped by groups of people, I still had fun! I got alot of forum hate for being one of the biggest assholes on Horde side, but hey, it's PVP! It was never personal, I just enjoyed PVP.

I played TBC for about 2 months as a Warrior, did arena up to 2300 with only pushing a few buttons(MS, Hamstring, Intercept, Spell Reflect, Lolmacestun), and I lost interest pretty fast. Bascially, I hate any type of sandbox arena, and fucking adore world PVP!

back when i played those areas were high lvl killing territory

whenever i went there a lvl 40 through 60 would just ping me cuz they are losers xD

so they werent even an option

id have to wait 4 hours just to play again

so i just quit since its dumb that was even allowed

and its like you dont even really start the game until your lvl 60 xD

since thats when all the pvp and getting good equipment comes in

which takes more time than getting to lvl 60 to get that stuff x3

    too time consuming! XD

ps. isnt wetlands in loch modan XD or is that a diff area =3

You should have rolled on a PVE server if you didn't/don't like PVP(It's amazing that some people actually don't like PVP). I absolutely love World PVP in any game, regardless of level differences! <3.
