Don't take this the wrong way mate =P but if you just state "I have my reasons but can't be arsed to name them" you're kinda killing the discussion. ;o Name em ya lazy bastard! Also I'm not one of those people that believe that mods are only used for hacks or bots but I have other reasons as to why I wouldn't like to see mods in Diablo 3!
On another note I'm no fan of modding either. I have played world of warcraft since its open beta, untill about a year ago. Since the beginning of that game, several mods were invented that I believe had a negative impact on the game, for instance; damage meters, gearscore and quest helper. Damage meters and gearscore forced everyone to conform to the standards. There were ultimate builds, and if you didn't use those, you sucked. Period.
I do however fully support the effords of the Diablo 2 mod makers. These enrich a game and give rise to a new generation of game developers, while not interfeering with the gameplay of the masses, since it was only usable in a private setting.

Like, when kids didn't have a basketball court, and they play on the parking lot, with imagined but nonexistant hoops. And boy do those kids have fun, playing together They can even make up their own rules, and cheat a bit if they feel like it.
Then some day the city council decides its a shame these poor kids are forced to play out on the streets. Plus it's kind of a hassle when cars drive through, who the street is meant for. They decide to give them a basketball court, with actual lines, and proper hoops! Hurray! Most of the kids rejoice and flock to the new basketball court. But some stay behind, and say it's really unfair that they're now forced to play with real hoops, because the imagination hoops were so much cooler and more fun.
The kids having fun playing real games on the real basketball court don't get the guys and girls that stayed behind...
So myeh... I'm kinda in the camp that thinks basketball with real hoops and non self made up rules is more fun then a mcguyvered street game =/

To get back to your quote, astrology hasn't been conclusively disproven either. Does that mean you believe there could be something to it?

To get back on topic though, is morbid obesity and coronary heart disease considered a direct result of playing too much Diablo 3 in this topic? Because in the USA alone loads of people die sitting on their supersized ass in front of their computer o.o

I do hope there will be plenty of reference to their fates though ^.^ Preferably in in boss forms

I think it's rather clear that they're already working on an expansion though, stuff that got cut from this games release like Ureh would definitely make a return there.

He disagrees with your attack on Blizzard, and must therefore be a Blizzard fanboy. This argument makes me seize all potentially fruitfull discussion you could have had with me on these boards. Goodbye =)
