It seems very clear that the trap Diablo mentions is the wedge he managed to push between the members of the council. Where there was once unity, there are now cracks.

No... No you're not... You think you are, but you're not. Not even the minutes.

I think it'll be fine. Jay Wilson has indicated that there are some mechanics ingame that are punishing to ranged, but not to melee, so it will balance out.

That there is fear in facing inferno is a definit good thing though ;)

posted a message on PvP should get more love
This PvP discussion has become boring... let's talk about.... basketball! Yea, basketball :D

Like, when kids didn't have a basketball court, and they play on the parking lot, with imagined but nonexistant hoops. And boy do those kids have fun, playing together :D They can even make up their own rules, and cheat a bit if they feel like it. ^_^

Then some day the city council decides its a shame these poor kids are forced to play out on the streets. Plus it's kind of a hassle when cars drive through, who the street is meant for. They decide to give them a basketball court, with actual lines, and proper hoops! Hurray! Most of the kids rejoice and flock to the new basketball court. But some stay behind, and say it's really unfair that they're now forced to play with real hoops, because the imagination hoops were so much cooler and more fun.
The kids having fun playing real games on the real basketball court don't get the guys and girls that stayed behind...

So myeh... I'm kinda in the camp that thinks basketball with real hoops and non self made up rules is more fun then a mcguyvered street game =/

you've done well showing your ability to sit on your high horse not disproving it. That goes both ways bud. tytyty
You supposedly being a psychology major, I do assume you have had some courses in filosophy of science? Considering we're basically using Lakatos' system of advanced falsification you should know that verification is a feat impossible in the field of science. All we can do is provide conclusive proof that something is NOT true, because then we wouldn't need the faulty reasoning of induction. That's why the demarcation criteria (criteria of what is science, and what is not) is such a hard problem.

To get back to your quote, astrology hasn't been conclusively disproven either. Does that mean you believe there could be something to it?

If you do wish to hang by your TV documentaries of people performing amazing feats, You'll probably get a kick out of people bending spoons with their mind. Itz likez for realz man!

To get back on topic though, is morbid obesity and coronary heart disease considered a direct result of playing too much Diablo 3 in this topic? Because in the USA alone loads of people die sitting on their supersized ass in front of their computer o.o

Kabooom. I studied cognitive psych, and social psych, I'm aware of the side effects of sleep deprivation. I'm just saying your link has incorrect information.
As a fellow psychologist, I'd like to see the scientific research constituting that there are people that have absolutely no need of sleep. I consider random TV documentaries about as reliable as wikipedia.

Question is how many lives will be saved from people who stayed in playing Diablo 3 instead of going out and getting mugged/killed, hit by a car, or slipping and cracking their skulls. ^.^

That does sound pretty funny on one hand, but on the other hand it would probably fail. With the new artstyle, the heroes of old wouldn't be recognizable as such. The skills would look off, the characters would look off...

I do hope there will be plenty of reference to their fates though ^.^ Preferably in in boss forms ;)

posted a message on Wizard story hinting future classes
Blizz said that they aren't really planning an expansion because they think they game might be fine as it is.
They have said nothing like that... All they said is that they weren't focussing on it yet, because first they need to see if the games popular enough to warrant an expansion.
I think it's rather clear that they're already working on an expansion though, stuff that got cut from this games release like Ureh would definitely make a return there.

He disagrees with your attack on Blizzard, and must therefore be a Blizzard fanboy. This argument makes me seize all potentially fruitfull discussion you could have had with me on these boards. Goodbye =)
