If the title were to be in front of Clara (the woman) it would look bad. People are more important than words. Always. At least in this line of work. :P

The photo of the soldiers is from World War I (1914) and is a real photo, not a drawing/painting. It is very relevant to the piece (as is the green smoke). Chlorine Gas plays a major part of the play, as the main character - Haber (the big guy) - is its inventor. The play focuses a lot on the process through which it was invented and the subsequent guilt he feels.

1800`s i mean hahaha i`m working on a 1980`s poster lately so my mind is a little mixed up a bit. :P sorry my bad. ahhm. sorry my line of doing things is more on giving what you meant and straight forward. if that is your believes on doing things such as "People are more important than words" then its ok, though in my experience in working on logos, posters, E-learning and animation in other words haha - retrospect and creating modern posters are somewhat different so i respect your art :P. i think our line of work is no different though the method of doing things are different. :)

Not sure where you got 1980's from. The only time-period influence in this work was the late 1800's early 1900's. The scratchy texture and muted colours are made to imitate old photographs - potentially from that era - without being totally black and white (aka: boring).

hmmmm. i just example out making it black and white. my point is the photo`s that you are using does not fit the title "old photographs". you could have just edit it to "look like an old picture". i din`t literally say you make it black and white. :)

PS. - i think i`m in love with the girl XD haha. (shes beautiful)

good job bords well done. but the font size at the bottom.. i think it should be much more better if it is on the same size. color combination is good, hmmmm the main title is not centralized... and the main title again, it should not be at the back of the girl, its should be at at front. try to make it a little bit bigger, put the 2011 or what you want to put at gray scale color text at the very bottom (before the border). and lastly, if you are trying to imitating 1980`s poster, you should edit the photo as well or for example you can render it on black and white or same color as the two soldiers at the bottom right corner, since you already have a scratchy thing or i guess its a texture (my suggestion is create the same color of the two soldiers at the bottom since they are the only element that is different and much more 1980`s look.. its realistic!). . . .

    >> make the photos look like 1980`s!!! edit edit :) .. damn i really love graphic arts :P

indeed, the woman is some point, won`t happen to her if she doesn`t make that kind of scene.

Wait, so she is supposed to shut up and keep her opinion to herself so the council won't sic the cops on her? That's your view on this? Seriously?

And this is the sort of thing that worries me. In the threads I've made lately dancing at the Jefferson memorial, feeding the homeless, arresting people for filming an arrest, tasering a handicapped kid. The opinions usually boil down to: The person shouldn't do X and they won't get in trouble, people insisting things are getting better everyday, or the rare occasion someone actually agrees.

It worries me to think what has to be done for people to say okay that's crossing the line, or I have the right to do this, it's in the constitution so I'm not going to be told no.

To each his own opinion though. I'm just presenting an event, people can interpret it as they see fit.

couldn`t agree more, well said :) though i lough about tazering a handicapped kid hahaha. but its well said true true i agree.

no, i think she should talk in a manner that she would not get any kind of bad attention. yes seriously i think she talks like a thug and the thug police get her attention.

    Quote from Ophion

    This statement is false.

A baby girl is mysteriously dropped off at an orphanage in Cleveland in 1945. "Jane" grows up lonely and dejected, not knowing who her parents are, until one day in 1963 she is strangely attracted to a drifter. She falls in love with him. But just when things are finally looking up for Jane, a series of disasters strike. First, she becomes pregnant by the drifter, who then disappears. Second, during the complicated delivery, doctors find that Jane has both sets of sex organs, and to save her life, they are forced to surgically convert "her" to a "him." Finally, a mysterious stranger kidnaps her baby from the delivery room.

Reeling from these disasters, rejected by society, scorned by fate, "he" becomes a drunkard and drifter. Not only has Jane lost her parents and her lover, but he has lost his only child as well. Years later, in 1970, he stumbles into a lonely bar, called Pop's Place, and spills out his pathetic story to an elderly bartender. The sympathetic bartender offers the drifter the chance to avenge the stranger who left her pregnant and abandoned, on the condition that he join the "time travelers corps." Both of them enter a time machine, and the bartender drops off the drifter in 1963. The drifter is strangely attracted to a young orphan woman, who subsequently becomes pregnant.

The bartender then goes forward 9 months, kidnaps the baby girl from the hospital, and drops off the baby in an orphanage back in 1945. Then the bartender drops off the thoroughly confused drifter in 1985, to enlist in the time travelers corps. The drifter eventually gets his life together, becomes a respected and elderly member of the time travelers corps, and then disguises himself as a bartender and has his most difficult mission: a date with destiny, meeting a certain drifter at Pop's Place in 1970.

hurray for s3x and sins! :)
