Well I can see why they're afraid, after all, Blizzard are doing some radical changes. And changes are scary I admit.
That said, this is Blizzard we're talking about. They're responsible for World of warcraft, Star-Craft, Warcraft and the Diablo franchise. And The Lost Vikings, of course.
I know that these games, and even D2 wasn't made by the same exact employees, but this is still the same company that gave me, and you, so many great titles, and so much fun over the years, that I just don't understand where this antagonism is coming from.
I really find it amazing how often forum heroes think they know how to make a game better than Blizzard--a company that has had more critical and commercial success than any game development studio in the world. Sure, the exact same team that made D2 isn't working on D3, but the success of an organization has much more to do with the culture instilled in the company by the creators and the management than by the individual game designers or artists.
Seriously people, Blizzard is freakin smart. That's not to say they're infallible (See: B-net 2.0) but it's pretty clear they are DAMN GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO.
Hello Diablo Fans! My name is Trebis and I run a (somewhat) well known YouTube channel called Team Trebis. While my channel was built around high quality StarCraft 2 tutorials and guides, I plan on covering Diablo 3 extensively with just as high standards for quality and entertainment.
For Diablo 3 I plan to cover a broad range of topics, such as leveling guides, build demonstrations, MF and GF guides, high level PvE and PvP, and much much more.
I invite you to follow my channel on YouTube or through this thread. I hope to maintain this thread as a place to better organize and categorize my content, as well as to provide a discussion place for my viewers and all Diablo Fans. As I make more videos I will reorganize this thread for easier viewing.

Think about it and remember the success of the iPhone app store. There are people casually spending hundreds each year on 99 cent apps without even realizing it. The same will happen with Diablo's ah!
I think they're betting on EXACTLY this. Even with how much of a stigma there is with microtransactions, they are damn effective. A lot of it depends on your time and money situation, though. For a high school or college student with time to burn, paying $1 for an item that would cost an hour to get might seem silly, but for a busy person who just wants to play the game, $1 is nothing.

Most definitely. I was never terribly into RTS until SC2, so I can understand that. I'll definitely be around the forums quite a bit.
First and foremost, I just wanted to thank all the diablofans admins and content creators for establishing such an amazing community--the resources available, top tier discussion, and well-written blog posts clearly make this the #1 Diablo resource on the internet. BRAVO to you guys!
My handle is Trebis, and some of you may know me from my instructional Starcraft 2 channel on YouTube called SC2 Noob School. I've been playing and loving (ok, foaming-at-the-mouth-for is more accurate) Blizzard games my whole life, and decided I wanted to try to give back when SC2 came out.
With SC2 Noob School, I wanted to be a resource for the bronziest of bronze players to start to learn the basics of higher level strategy, and I think I accomplished a big part of that goal. Getting to interact with the community and foster it's growth has been incredibly fun for me, so I am now looking to do the same thing with Diablo 3.
While there isn't a lot of room for original D3 content right now, I'm looking forward to cranking it out once the beta hits. Until then, I'm glad to see people like Force beasting it up to get content out there That guy is amazing.
