Honestly.. and this is my oppion only... why is it that some ppl want to go on the brink of death, just to get all the way through this game in a matter of days!.. We have all waited like 10 years or more.. and then it has to be played this way.. I dont get it. anyways good luck.. and dont kill yourself doing this..
I'd really hate to say it but I guess it'll have to be said now or later but I BLAME WOW. Reason being that with WoW vanilla it was fun you enjoyed the levels with friends and doing your occasional instances together. Then raiding was introduced as endgame and guilds battled for World / Server first alliance / horde and from here on the game has been nothing but a gear race for the best gear to defeat the newest content FIRST. Now I never played D2 online I only played it for the story so this will be my first attempt to play up to endgame but I will be enjoying the story through normal first.
Thinking logically this guy and his brother won't be clearing Inferno pre nerfs if any come at all within 10 days of release . . . sorry I'm just gonna call BS they might get to Inferno in 10 days but as the devs have already stated you will need to farm Hell to get the right gear for Inferno just to farm Inferno ACT 1 and 2 if you can manage just that. So the way I see it is they are willing to ruin the story to speed run to Inferno and hit a brick wall. Never stopping to enjoy the scenery the ambient noises that story just to be held to farming Hell or a quarter of Inferno. If thats fun for them then godspeed but 10 days for people with careers at stake even with vacation time available for a game even as good as Diablo just isn't THAT important, besides I spend vacation time to get out of the house and enjoy life out of the norm visiting places, friends and family. But to each his/her own.
Now lets start bets on where he and his crew end up after 10 days. I say mid HELL I got 1million gold on it =)
How do you know that your addicted to Diablo 3? Well with less than a month before release and open beta weekend we are still trying to get a beta key when it only has 3 days left. Ya we are all sad pandas.
I'd be willing but I find that most of the time I may be on in the late hours at night since my work sched isn't set in stone. I played MMOs and had clans n guilds before but I I'm sure if I started that again the wife would murder me lol.
Thanks for this opportunity. I registered here long ago but I became in active since there was no release date it was torture to just watch the beta over and over and waiting for conformation from the conference calls. I just bought a 27inch iMac and I can't wait to fire it up.

Well WoW had a caster class called "Mage" and they had a tier set that looked almost just like the Inferno Wizard that's all I was implying. If u look up mage WoW tier gear 1-7 it should be there somewhere, just these pics are resurfacing some of my old WoW memories after all this game is made by the same company who'd have thunk . . .

I believe when they said that this Diablo will still feel like a Diablo game but thank god for dying gear. I played WoW from vanilla to 2007 or whenever Ulduar was but the game was fun to a point just not my style since MMOs never end I just got tired. I never got into Diablo 2 I only played the single player through to Nightmare by myself never online so this will be my first I'm stuck between Monk or Wizard as my first main character and I planned to play HC so I wouldn't get those Softcore habits I heard of about clearing with AOE or in this game low tier spam who knows but I plan to start HC first. With the current images of the endgame Monk I'm now leaning a lot towards Barb for my melee but the Wiz would be my first character.
Nice system indeed I must say from what you've posted. I was looking into the i5 2500k (even tho I don't overclock but just in case) and I'm not familiar with anything AMD processors or video cards. I've always had great performance out of nVidea but I'm guessing its apples to oranges. I've always wondered why AMD processors and AMD Raedeon video cards were always cheaper than intel and nVidea. I need to get back into cpu tech, my ps3 has corrupted me since I haven't played a PC game since I quit WoW in 2009. Its funny how I had this laptop made the year I quit, although my wife praised heaven until COD/PS3 showed up heh.
Ok so I'm using a 2 year old laptop that I purchased to play WoW on and I was able to run through the busy cities with maxed out settings. I've always been a mobile person however I don't like gaming laptops as much as desktop for the simple fact that upgrading is near impossible for the important hardware that's integrated into the motherboard (video card) one of my main upgrading focuses. My System states 4GIGs of ram and I run a 8GIG memory stick using ready boost to help it along since windows eats a bit also. Lately now I've been on sites such as ibuypower.com and cyberpowerpc.com trying to build a decent tower under $1,000 but I'm not sure if I'm overshooting for 60FPS. These sites let you choose games such as SC2 or Crysis 2 and I basically select a video card based on being able to run maxed out settings on these games. If I were a bit more hardware savy I would buy parts and build it on my own, which is still an option, which is why I've turned to these boards for advice. Now I saw a topic similar to this one on the bnet D2 message boards however I wasn't able to post because I don't have my D2 CD key to post there I've tried using my WC3 key but it never works. Now I am aware that there are now minimum/maximum specs out to date for D3 but I wanted to be ahead of the curve and have some type of idea what and where I should aim in terms of hardware.
My wife is in the shower getting ready for bed. I told her 11pm (Alaska time) is the hit time... and she wants me to lay down with her. Tension incoming; I'm staying up and sticking it out with you guys. But at least I can say that tonight she played the Diablo series for the first time (D2 LoD) and she seemed to like it despite being a decade old.
Buy an iPAD dude. I get a lot of my forum reading done just before bed or that last youtube video right next to the Mrs.
