i received another email saying my order will be ready jan 26th. I don't think this means much in regard to a release date but is probably a glitch in best buys system.
I did not ask the lady to bring a copy of the game out for me to see. The only picture i have is the picture of the email that Best Buy sent me. I can assure you that the lady, after having checked their inventory, told me over the phone that they had it there ready for pickup and that when i arrived at the store she seemed a bit embarrassed that she was not allowed to give it to me.
I received an email today that said my Diablo 3 in-store pickup order was ready to be picked up today, Jan. 18.
I called my local best buy store and told the lady about the email and then asked if the game was in fact there at the store. She put me on hold and when she returned she told me she had checked the inventory and that the game was there ready for pick up. So i drove over to Bust Buy and offered the lady at customer service my order number; she typed it in and seemed surprised when it said: order is awaiting customer pick-up. The man who was also working behind the counter also seemed surprised and told her she should call their manager before giving me the game. She called her manager and then told me that she cannot give me the game because the street release date is not until Feb. 1.
She did confirm that they had a hard copy of the game in their inventory which i find to be odd since Blizzard says their game is not done yet. Is it possible that Blizzard is still working on the game even though there are hard copies of the game in stores? I think it might be possible because of the 'always DRM' deal. Anyways I'm looking forward to returning to Best Buy on Feb. 1 to see what they say then.
i've removed mods. i want to uninstall so i can reinstall it, it wont launch right now. i tried a pro remover and when that was done it just made it so d2 didnt show up in control panel(add or remove) or in the pro tool remover. i orginally installed with isos. any ideas?
EDIT: also when i did regedit and typed in diablo 2 i had alot more things than diablo 2 show up and i hear its dangerous to delet registry items.
