Millions of HP? WTF, do they like spamming the screen with 7 digit numbers?

Damage numbers are default off so...... no.

    Quote from Ruppgu

A bit disappointing... I was hoping Inferno bosses would have additional mechanics.

SK is not an Act boss.

    Quote from godvilegr

Noone noticed that with inferno gear we get 20-30k armor, which means 80 % dmg reduction ?

Armor numbers are not flat % reductions. The difference in level plays a huge role. At level 60 your armor number will say "Reduces damage from level 60 monsters by 40%" Since Inferno monsters are higher level, that reduction will be less.

    1. Ranged classes generally have an easier time yes. Barbs and Monks do get a free 30% damage reduction though which should go a long ways towards keeping them alive. All 5 classes should be fairly equal.

    2. Solo unless you know the people you're grouped with and trust them.

    3. You are correct. SC and HC gear is completly separate.

    4. Any death is death. Characters will not be restored for ANY reason.

Since the SK health is out of date, I wonder if the Inferno stats are out of date. Back when the SK health was that low, Inferno didn't scale in later acts. I'd hate to see how much damage Act 4 monsters would do if this was the pre-buff damage numbers though, lol.

The listed levels are scaling in those screenshots indicating that it is at least up to date with that change. Remember that Blizzard works on stuff long before they actually announce it.

I can hardly believe 170k damage from inferno monsters..Getting one-shotted isn't fun OR hard.. it's just stupid.

    Armor.

Armor wouldn't even remotely make those hits livable.
Even if armor reduced dmg by 50%, that's still 85,000 dmg. That's still a one shot...
Now lets assume the char is melee and gets extra 30% dmg reduction, that would be 59,500 dmg. That's still a one shot...for a melee toon, who has to stand in melee range.

    So yah,

    BULL-ah-SHIT

Now lets assume that it's a monster that's SUPPOSED to one shot you because it's incredibly slow and easy to kite and you're not supposed to engage it in melee but kite it around. Maybe melee are just supposed to avoid it.

Wow, it's really hard to make ANY statements about ANYTHING without actually experiencing something isn't it?

you've done well showing your ability to sit on your high horse not disproving it. That goes both ways bud. tytyty

Not disproving what? I already gave my opinion on Ngoc Thai, do you not understand the meaning of the word outlier? I never said I didn't believe his story. (I'm skeptical, but some genetic mutation could likely explain it.) In any case, just because he may be able to do it, doesn't mean that you or anyone else can.

I began arguing with you as I was simply attempting to help spread awareness about sleep depravation and you came into the thread stating that everything I said was false ("This information is wrong"). From there all you've been able to say is that 11 days being a record is wrong (which it isn't), and you haven't been able to back up your initial claim at all. At this point I'm doubting your claims of knowing anything about sleep depravation.

Your taunt of "tytyty" just furthers my belief of your immaturity and goes to show I'm wasting my time.

Not verified by the scientific community, its not Ngoc Thai's job to get it varified, he is just some poor farmer in Thailand trying to make a living. Did they disprove it? Nope. I don't care about your credentials, or who you talk to? Sweet shit. That Article gives the insight that a first year University student could give on the subject.

Pretty sure Thailand doesnt give a fuck about his sleep deprivation, but if an entire village says this guys not sleeping, and our NA/EU sleep deprivation "omfg amazing" team hasn't flown out to study him, well i guess they dont give a fuck about advancing the field of knowledge.

Verification has nothing to do with it. You did an excellent job with this post displaying your ignorance in the field.

The article was selected simply because it did a good job covering the basics and came up early on a Google search.

Kabooom. I studied cognitive psych, and social psych, I'm aware of the side effects of sleep deprivation. I'm just saying your link has incorrect information.

11 days is the held record. 264 hours to be precise. Bizarre cases such as Ngoc Thai are outliers and have 0 relevance to a normal human being.

    http://www.theepocht...laine-2855.html

Also, if you want to throw out credentials I've studied both psych and neuroscience. In addition, I personally know William Dement, have discussed sleep deprivation with him at his house as he lives within walking distance from my grandparents, and members of my family have participated in his sleep studies. So I know what I'm talking about.

Again I state, what information is incorrect?

This information is wrong, there are currently 1-2 people in the world that do NOT sleep. One is from India im pretty sure, the other is from China. Nat Geo did a program on them awhile back, they use meditation, but the brain does not enter a state of sleep. Wicked stuff. Pretty sure the one guy hasnt slept in like 11 years. This was like 5-6 years back.

Edit* actually there is one guy who hasnt slept for 38 years, a Thai farmer

If you honestly believe sleep deprivation has no negative side effects you're an idiot. None of that information is wrong.

it is not possible to die from simply not sleeping, the body will fall asleep after x amount of hours, just make sure that you eat properly while you are staying awake for a long time

Most certainly NOT true at all. Lack of sleep has a severe impact on your immune system.

"One of the possible side effects of a continued lack of sleep is death. Usually this is the result of the fact that the immune system is weakened without sleep. The number of white blood cells within the body decreases, as does the activity of the remaining white blood cells. The body also decreases the amount of growth hormone produced (8). The ability of the body to metabolize sugar declines, turning sugar into fat. One study stated that people who sleep less than four hours per night are three times more likely to die within the next six years (11). Although the longest a human has remained awake was eleven days rats that are continually deprived of sleep die within two to five weeks, generally due to their severely weakened immune system (10), (11), (12)."

(Bolded text is why you really don't want to be cramming sugar in the case you do decide to marathon.)

This is exactly why you can't judge a skill without using it. Whether you like it or not, Blizzard has balanced the game as they see fit. Apparently being able to have more than one Hydra was too powerful.

The numbers may seem low, but clearly there's a reason behind that.

Condemning a spell based solely on its tooltip and without any form of experimentation whatsoever is stupid.

My iMac runs the game far better than my MacBookPro, but then again my iMac has 2GB of video ram to my laptops 256MB (It's old).

Video cards are going to be the only thing on a Mac holding you back. The plus side is that even if it's a little slow, you can run Bootcamp and it will be perfect (which is what I do on my laptop).
