It's cool... Different minds think differently. I guess I just see it as an opportunity for my crew and I to enjoy HC a lil more than we already do. Honestly if someone is willing to pay for an item on HC, they know what they're getting into... there's nothing for them to complain about. They know beforehand the potential risks of their decisions, or so we would hope. Anyway, there's nothing wrong for someone paying real $ for another person's time spent finding the item or what have you, the same way it's a valid idea for SC. D2 JSP is just going to remain priority for HC items being sold, which is unfortunate. HC items will surely remain at a premium, and SC items will quickly dive in price, and it'll be a penny auction within 6 months due to the fact thousands, if not millions of items will be in circulation, without deletion... and a waste of a damn good idea.
No, no it shouldnt, could you imagine the crap blizzard would have to put up with when someone dies in HC due to server lag after they bought something for money from blizzards RMAH? I 100% totally understand and agree with them on that.. it would be horrible for them.
You still run the same risk regardless... There's not a valid reason not to allow it... Anyone playing HC knows risks they run... Anyways, server side crashes do not cause deaths, being that the client (the game) server side, is in fact frozen, meaning npc's stop AI. Been playing D2 HCC since I can remember playing D2, and I've never once seen a server side game crash result in a player death.
edit - I WANT a RMAH on HC because of the fact there will A L W A Y S be a premium on top tier items due to the fact that there WILL in fact be player deaths, and item deletion, thus keeping the value high, and a chance to make some good cash while enjoying the game... People still paypal for D2 HCC items $100+ bucks for a solid item ie 304 martel I found... I mean that's 2 hours of real work for me but still, why not make some dough enjoying the game? I really think it'd be good for the HC economy to be honest.
I am very curious as to the (and if there is any) difference in playing hardcore over softcore. I know you can only die once as a hardcore char(character); what I was actually interested in was if you get better loot, more drops, better drops?
Also, are hardcore items only usable by hardcore chars?
In several videos it has been said that Hardcore will not only be more difficult in terms of bosses such as tactics and dmg output but certain drops will be Hardcore only, as incentive to look different and be a cut above. I don't remember which videos but if you scan through some of the more recent ones produced by Blizzard you will hear it for yourself... HC...... THE ONLY WAY TO BE =)
How so? It's relevant to the current situation that you, myself, and countless others are in regarding D3 =) I had class this afternoon and leaving for the gym in maybe... 20 minutes, till then I'm paroozing this forum attempting to be constructive.
You've all waited so long for beta and want to play it so bad but did you ever think...
You might not get in?
Oh man would I be pissed, and probably will be.
Fuck getting into the beta, I sure as hell could care less. I just want it to start meaning it will be furthering the process of releasing the game.
Anyway, I'm done complaining =) because that's all that is happening now. I just happen to log onto this site in order to read new info instead I decided to chime in and contribute lately =X
The game is ready for release right now... there is no way in hell we as humans can some out with all the new technology we have come out with in the past 3+ years since Diablo III unveiling, yet this game is not out yet? Otherwise they unveiled the idea and really didn't start working on it until recently... SC2 got pumped out in no time... So unless something like all other acts than act 1 aren't finished with design, the game could be released right now... and just tweaked as necessary. What's the difference between "F&F" beta occurring, and the release of the game all together? Now you have millions playing instead of the few hundred, that's about it. Blizz will probably get much more feedback about content that needs fixed if they weren't shelling out beta key's to 12 year old kids all posting about a piece of loot not landing directly below their characters feet, rather it fell 2.5 centimeters to the LEFT OF "SKELLINGTON" KINGS FEET!!!! wtf.... I haven't seen one constructive beta bug post in a while... all I've seen is crap like I just mentioned and people with bad PC's not realizing their drivers aren't up to date...
edit - maybe I'm just bored and ranting... I still find it more entertaining to read this forum then play such a piece of shit like Starcraft or this watered down World of Scrubcraft. If WoW got reset to 1.0 version, I'd play till my eyes bled. Too bad I went to the gym @ 930 pm east and I'm wide awake still @ 5:55 am =( Diablo 2 is boring right now cause my crew already holds #1 spot on HCC useast =)
I wonder if this is all just like foreplay... prolonged excitement invoked by Blizzard and they'll release the game out of nowhere. #POW
I bet someone from blizzard hawks these forums and tells everyone else back at the office "HAHA LOOK AT THESE RERE'S WAITING FOR US" meanwhile they are LOLOLOLERBLADING down the hall playing office hockey with D3 cd's that were printed last year waiting to be sent to stores like Gamestop and Bestbuy to be sold...
