posted a message on how many servers are there for d3?!?!
if i remember correctly the Americas servers is a few thousand already spread not just in North America but some are located in Singapore, Latin America, etc. i have no worry on latency really, unless you have a crappy internet provider you should be fine.

    the three main servers are:

Americas (North America, Latin America, Australia, South East Asia)
    Europe
    Asia (South Korea, Hingkong)

So even in Inferno the bosses gain no additional abilities? What's the point in listing their abilities for each difficulty level then? Am I missing something?

They were probably typed out that way in case anything changed then nothing did. They did state that some things will change in higher difficulties but they are very minor (maybe additional adds or something like that). Nothing like a new ability.

Also, in regards to the level requirements, the best I can find is Bashiok saying you should finish normal right around 30, nightmare around 50 and hell around 60. The word "around" doesn't seem to imply a hard stop, but Jay's interview implies there is. So no confirmed official cut off points unless they went with Bash's numbers.

i always thought that there is no level requirement for the difficulty level (aside from inferno which is a bonus difficulty). the level requirement is more like a check cause the monsters are just so much stronger in the next difficulty that going through them solo while a bit under level will become too much you have to go back and level first.

btw, @KageKaze, big fan of the videos. a shame you didn't complete the classes

Erm, some of those issues were reported on the beta, is it a joke?

maybe they haven't finished fixing them. or they tried and spawned/encountered other problems from the fix...

If it is Day 1 patch, then why do they even explain workarounds if everyone gonna patch this before playing..?

this patch would be available at May 15, when all people would start their launchers and the launchers starts downloading the latest patch (which would be this)

I'm still amazed why people react to it... i don't want to repeat my post but...

    nah... Complain away people!

Edit: To clarify, It's not a Banner Unlock, it's a sigil. A small icon to be placed on your banner. Small enough that in-game this wouldn't matter. The FoS would appear (apparently) only in the achievement menu of those who will get it, you (who didn't get into beta) will not see it unless you're watching them play and they keep popping that window just to show it to you (if that's the case, you're dealing with an ass#0!e, you can punch him).

another strength base character perhaps? there's already two per primary (WD and Wiz for Int, DH and Monk for Dex).

I like the shape shifting concept and the see-saw resource where you consume the other resource to replenish the other (though how that will translate to programming is already giving me nightmares).

I think the lore has expanded quite well already that the class would have a unique and better back story rather than sticking to the druid archetype (the barbarian persisted simply because there is no replacing the original hack-slash character)>

I don't understand the idea that they are entitled to anything other than early access to a game we are all dying to play for their efforts. I know I would've done just as much if I had gotten into beta as far as bug reporting and suggestions go.

As I said, I don't see it as an entitlement. More like a token of appreciation. This things don't usually come to mind in the beginning of development, more like "in the moment" ideas. They (Blizzard) want to show the closed beta testers they appreciated the efforts exerted. To me it isn't a reward.

With regards to them being lucky... That's it exactly, they were chosen and they were lucky for it. Sure some just lounged it off and actually don't deserve s#!% of any recognition at all. What I'm saying is we're withholding rewarding those that actually worked simply because there are those that didn't work. And that to me isn't fair.

An if i'm not mistaken, the FoS won't show in your achievement menu. Maybe you will just remember that you're missing one even if there isn't an icon there that is gray but that's up to you. Actually even I'm a bit down I won't get it... But I know people that would just loved to get it cause they actually worked on it. And those people are my friends!

To quote Mass Effect 2, "There is too much sadness in this world to add my own..." Some people deserve it and I don't like to withhold it simply because those that don't deserve it will get it too.

The FoS is entitled "One of the Chosen" (correct me if I'm wrong). CHOSEN was the keyword.

Ok yeah, it is unfair to those that think and know they could have contributed to the beta better and more even than those that got some of the keys and for some reason didn't use them (lazy, missed, etc.). And you are completely in your right to react negatively to this and actually complain about it.

But take it from this point of view: I don't think we should take it as a reward even if they (Blizzard) say it is. For me it's more of a token of appreciation to those closed beta players that actually helped by filing the tickets to report bugs, rate the game play and give back important feedback and test the general feel of the game. And to actually scan the server database (that I know would be so full of data from the closed beta and open beta weekend) for people that actually logged in and contributed would be a pain in the ass and take too much time. Come on guys, we're on the final stretch (less than a week to go woot!) and they're now gearing up for the actual time we would flood the server gates. They want to appreciate what the close beta players did (most likely this is unplanned and actually out of the time frame they have) and to go the extra mile to give out their appreciation is good.

Okay admittedly they would actually be giving some people something they didn't deserve, but are we going to deprive those that deserved it just for them?

To those that think that such a reward or token isn't just or right or fair, I got friends that got into the closed beta (I didn't) and I know how hard they worked during the beta. Literally filing ticket after ticket, not just playing the game but thoroughly testing for possible bugs and weaknesses. I think they did a good job, actually an excellent one. I don't think what you are asking (not giving it out) is just or right or fair.

posted a message on A suggestion for making gf/spouse enjoy release
I'm actually prepping myself for a whole month of "making it up". My gf doesn't exactly hate video games, she's just didn't get that influence while she was growing up. Kind of an innocent when it comes to "worldly things" like video games, comics, etc... (THAT somehow keeps the attraction XD).

Good thing I know how to cook...
