Ok cool, couldn't locate that blue post. Thanks. And I concur, logging in is pretty excellent. =P I've had a few hiccups while playing but nothing major.
Yeah, I highly doubt the servers being down is b/c of faulty achievments..probably more to do with the servers not handleing the volume/some people haven't gotten to play..
I guess i missed something from early design to release. I thought there was supposed to be mini boss/boss fights with Seigebreaker and Thousand Pounder. Did blizz say that they were doing away with them and i just completely missed it? I know Seigebreaker had death animations and i did read that they got rid of them but the boss all together? I have finished both Act 1 and 2 and havent seen them so i am assuming they were taken out all together.
I'm not sure, but is this common for a big game release to have this many issues? It's not like they couldn't be anticipated, the stress test went pretty horribly despite what Blizzard want's to report ('the open beta weekend was great!...for some'). Which is fine, it's a stress test, but clearly all the problems weren't resolved. Anyway, this seems like a huge blunder for such a big name title. And it annoys me further that their response (from what I've read) seems very non-challant, like we should have expected some issues. Their response to the people who didn't get to participate in the open beta was that it was necessary to find out what was wrong so the launch will go smoothly..gave them the benefit of the doubt but in retrospect seems like PR b.s. now.
With all of the server problems, any world/region firsts really don't hold water and I doubt will gain recognition in the community. That is, unless Inferno is as hard as Blizz claims and people will still be going at it a month from now. /doubtitbuthopefull
I feared the stress test was a bad omen..but put faith in Blizz to fix the problem for launch. Trying to keep the faith but kind of frustrating after waiting 2 hours to pick up and another 3. /sigh
