    The 24 Hour Witch Doctor

This Guide, is meant to serve people whom might be new to Diablo 3, or new to the Witch Doctor Class. It provides a structured easy to follow process that will enable the player to maximize the first 24 hours of a New Witch Doctor that is Created.

Getting power leveled, using exploits, or group play will yield faster results in gearing up a Witch Doctor initially. The point of this guide is to provide an option for players to be self sufficient, or use as a itinerary list on what you should be focusing with a new Witch Doctor.

The guide Will be broken up into "Three Phases"

    Leveling Phase

    • * Getting your WD setup to level quickly to Max Level
    • * Efficiency in Bounty Quest Choices

    Grind Phase

    • * All the remaining time you have left in the First "24" Hours to push your WD to T6 Farming
    • * Finishing off Gem progression, (Legendary Gems, and Non Legendary counter parts)
    • * Min-Maxing with Craft-able Sets.

24 Hour Witch Doctor Itinerary List

Phase 1 "Leveling Phase" In Depth

This Section will cover these major points: Bounty Choices , Itemization, and Skill Build

    Bounty Choices

Bounties are pretty much straight forward. While leveling there certain bounties that we avoid, and specific acts we stay away from. When you start a new Witch Doctor, everyone can start off in "Adventure mode", granted they've completed story mode beforehand.

Why do you only choose Act 1 Bounties Only?

    • * Has the most easiest bounties to complete in game
    • * Monster A.I. pales in comparison to other ones from Acts 2-5
    • * Bounty maps objectives, usually spawn in the same areas

What Bounties should I do, avoid sometimes, or skip all together?

    • * Here is a Image the explains it all:

    • * Green = You should do these Bounties all the time
    • * Blue = You should do these bounties, when it doesn't involve killing a boss
    • * Red = You should never do these bounties.....period

Why am I avoiding these Bounties?

    • * One case, is how Difficulty level effects bosses greatly, Last thing you want to do is fight Skeleton King, Queen Araneae, or the Butcher on Masters+ Difficulty or higher, for the amount of time they take, it is not worth it.
    • The area also could just be to large, and random to successfully locate the bounty objective quickly. This rears its ugly head with any bounties that takes place on Caverns of Araneae, or Fields of Misery

    What about the Maybe Bounties

    • * It is ok to do these bounties, ONLY if the bounty that is given DOESN'T involve killing a Boss Monster.

If you complete all of the bounties, that are on the list, and all that remains are the ones that you should "NOT" do, it is more profitable to simply leave game to "Reset" the bounties.

    Pools of Reflection

    Whats a pool of reflection

    • * Pools of Reflection provide a 25% bonus to experience
    • * This bonus persists until you reach a set amount of bonus experience (equal to approximately 10% of the current amount of Paragon experience needed to reach the next Paragon level) or your character dies.
    • * Gathering additional Pools of Reflection bonuses increases the amount of total experience bonus a character can receive until character death, stacking up to 10 times
    • *This experience bonus persists on logout

While doing bounties you will come across these pools of golden goodness, it is very easy to keep these stacks going from levels 1-61. So to increase the rate at which you level stack these pools without dying. From levels 61 onward, things can get a little tough, so be extra careful to not die as the increased exp makes a BIG difference on your way level 70.

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+

    Phase 1 - Itemization

What Gear should I be focusing on while leveling up?

    • * 2 Handed weapons are the best due to our skill choices, their accessibility, and how well their damage scales as we level up.
    • * The weapons scale Very well, and make it so we don't have to worry about finding a proper Off Handed weapon
    • * Equipping anything that increases the Damage for your Witch docotor. (Armor more specifically)
    • * Any type of gear, that increases the amount of experience you receive
    • * Level 61+ Any Helmet that has a Socket for a Marquise Ruby Gem

What options do I have if I can't find a decent weapon?

    • * NPC Merchants, believe it or not they do carry nice Weapons, and Jewelry
    • * If your Weapon begins to start lacking, and you need to replace it to keep a good leveling pace, Checking the Merchants in each Act will help your out A TON. So don't neglect this option.

Things you don't need to worry about from levels 1-60

    • * Breaking down Items at the Black Smith
    • * Picking up, or using Gems
    • * Learning any Pre-61 Crafting Plan
    • * Keeping, or saving any Pre- Level 60 Legendary
    • * Upgrading any Artisan Pre- Level 61

What about when I hit level 61?

    • * Pick up everything you can Pre- 61, and sell it for gold
    • * Once you reach level 61 Start picking up EVERYTHING, because these items are the "End Game" Crafting items.
    • * If you get any Level 60-70 Voodoo Witch Doctor Helmet save them!

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

    Phase 1 - Skill Build

What is the most optimal Build in your opinion to level with?

    • * Haunt, and Locust Swarm by far
    • * Damage over Time spells are very powerful tools while leveling, and scale Dramatically well with 2 Handed Weapons.
    • * The build that I have below is a build that works well into level 70, and beyond. If you need the level by level on what skills to you, you can check out the 24 Hour Witch Doctor Phase 1 Itinerary section located at the beginning of the guide.

    Phase 1 Recap

Here are the important things to remember:

    • * Only do the bounties that are "Green" or "Blue"
    • * Pick up everything, and sell it to vendors until Level 61
    • * If you are out leveling your weapon, Npcs can provide Excellent Weapon & Jewelry options, make sure to check all of the merchants in each Act
    • * Remember to adjust Skills, game difficulty, passives, and runes as you are leveling.
    • * Get a Socket-ed helmet for Levels 61-70, and place a Marquise Ruby inside it!
    • * Pools of reflection are you friends, don't waste them by dying!

Phase 2 "Gear Progression" In Dept

Phase 2 begins immediately after you obtain level 70. Setting ourselves up to progress towards torment Difficulty levels 1-3 while also identifying (based upon what Items have dropped ) which build would be the most efficient for our Witch Doctor to run. With a little crafting, and some luck this phase will go smoothly.

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

Phase 2 - Upgrading all Artisans to Max Level

    • * Once your level 70 you will have more than enough Gold, and some Last breaths to upgrade these artisans to max level.

    Black Smith

    • * Crafting anything other than set items from the black smith is a little bit of a waste
    • * Aughilds Power, and Cain's Set give you the greatest potential out of the items you can craft.
    • * Crafting any items from the Black Smith give it the potential to roll "Ancient Level Stats"

    Jewel Crafter

    • * Would not advise to craft your gems higher then Marquise, unless you are using them as a crafting material when your re-rolling legendary Jewelry.
    • * We will be using this Artisan mostly for the "Rare" Jewelry crafting option
    • **Rare Ring Crafting**
    • * Requires 2 Marquise Diamond, and Gold per Rare Ring Crafted
    • * Optimal Stats wanted: Int, Critical Hit Chance, Increased Critical Damage, Socket(1)
    • * Stat alternative that is "ok": Int, Critical Hit Chance, Socket(1)

    Rare Amulet Crafting

    • * Requires 1 Marquise Gem of each Color excluding Diamonds, and Gold per Rare Amulet Crafted
    • * Optimal Stats wanted: Int, Critical Hit Chance, Increased Critical Damage, Socket(1)
    • * Stat alternative that is "ok": Int, Increased Critical Damage, Socket(1)

    Enchanter

    • * Pretty simple here with this artisan, she allows you to re-roll one Stat of your choice. for crafting materials
    • * Only thing to say about here, is that Chest, Pants, Belts, Shoes are fairly expensive to re-roll stats on so be careful.
    • * Gloves, and Wrist are by far the cheapest to re-reoll.
    • * Any items you continual re-roll has their base gold cost increased every time the enchantress is used, this is however excluded when re-rolling Legendary Jewelry (Rings/ Amulets) the cost for these items are consumed in the forum of Gems.

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

Phase 2 - Boon of the Hoarder

    • * Boon of the Hoarder is a Legendary Gem in Diablo III. It can only be socketed into Amulets and Rings, and, unlike other Legendary Gems, only drops from Greed in the Treasure Realm.

    • * This gem gives a chance to cause any killed enemy (even if killed by a pet or a minion) to drop several large piles of gold in addition to their normal loot. The explosion does not cause any damage. Upgrading the gem increases the chance to proc, though for realistic purposes, it is not worth upgrading after reaching rank 50.
    • * At rank 25, it also gives a brief movement speed boost after picking up gold.
    • * This gem will have no effect in Greater Rifts. It will also not trigger off of kills made by anyone other than the Nephalem hero who uses this gem, even their own followers. It is also the only gem that gives no real combat effectiveness by itself. The massive quantities of gold offered, however, do prove very potent when coupled with items like Goldwrap and the Custerian Wristguards.
    • * The Boon of the Hoarder is one of the three gems (the others being Gogok of Swiftness and Invigorating Gemstone) that actually have a limit of effective ranking at 50.

How do you go about getting a Treasure Realm?

    • * By setting the game Difficulty to Normal, and targeting areas in Adventure mode (non rifts), where Goblin spawn rates are high.
    • **Can I get a Treasure Realm to spawn from goblins in rifts?**
    • * No you cannot, it has to be in Adventure mode, you must be level 70, and it is only Goblins that are NOT inside of a rift.

Do you have a list of Areas where you go to hunt goblins?

    • * The goblins I target it are in these Areas: Act 1 Araneae, Tower of the Cursed level (1 & 2), Core of the Arreat

    Map of Goblin farming areas

Why is it so important to get this gem right away after hitting level 70?

    • * Gold is the sole reason, due to the fact that Crafting, Gem Crafting, and Using the enchanter for re-rolls is can get VERY expensive.
    • * Securing this item early on, will grant you easy gold for a lifetime.

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

Phase 2 - Re-Rolling Rare (Yellow) Quality items to decent standing

While Hunting for goblins, or simply running rifts to farm for gear, and mats, your going to come across a lot of Rare (Yellow colored) items. These pieces of gear can help you gear up quickly to getting started on torment farming. I've included a basic list on what stats you want on each individual piece of gear (Excluded are Jewelry pieces as that was covered int he section above)

    • * Shoulders --> Int, Vit, Armor, Life %
    • * Helm ---> Int, Vit, Critical Chance
    • * Chest ---> Int, Vit, Armor, Socket (3)
    • * Pants ---> Int, Vit, Armor, Socket (3)
    • * Boots ---> int, Vit, Armor, Increased Movement Speed
    • * Gloves ---> Int, Vit, Critical Chance, Critical Damage
    • * Belt ---> Int, Vit, Armor, Life %
    • * Weapon ---> 2 Handed Int, Increased Damage %, Socket
    • * Weapon ---> 1 Handed Int, Increased Damage %, Socket
    • * Off Hand ---> Int, Vit, Crit Chance, *Increased Skill Damage*

    Phase 2 - Torment Levels 1 & 3

In regard to what target numbers I go for before progressing towards a higher level of difficulty, these are simply what worked for me, A.K.A My opinion. If you find your able to start Torment Level 1 sooner than what target Toughness/Dps then by all means go for it!

    Torment 1

    • * Target Toughness 3-4m
    • * Target DPS 350-500k
    • * Personally I await until 4m Toughness with 500k Dps before switching to Torment 1 @ Lv 70

    Torment Level 3

    • * Target Toughness 4-5m
    • * Target DPS 600-800k
    • * Once you hit Torment Level 3, you should have a good understanding of What build your working towards
    • * Getting to this Stage int he first 24 hours as quickly as possible, will allow more time in the final phase to reach T5-T6 Difficulty farming potential at the end of the first 24 hours as a New Witch Doctor

Phase 2 - The Two major, introductory Witch Doctor Builds

No specific gear is required to do these builds

    2 Handed Dot/Pet Build Level 70

    • * All you need to run this build is a Solid 2 handed weapon, and sub-par Rolls on your gear.
    • * Can get you into Torment 3 Farming very easily, and with the help of few items do Torment 6 easily.

    1 Handed Per Build

    • * Straight forward Pet build, can get you farming towards Torment Levels 1-3 Easily
    • * Does take a little bit of luck, and effort to take this build T6 However
    • * Only thing bad about pet builds, is that their initial gearing works well for lower torments, but takes a while to obtain the all the items that push it to the end game.
    • * However once said items are acquired, many Pet builds can easily push Great Rift Level 40 + Content Easily

Due to Drops being fairly luck based, and random, I prefer to go with the 2 Handed Dot/Pet Build, due to the fact that it doesn't require item specific drops. Haunt, and Locust swarm also scale VERY well with 2 Handed weapons, and the right Increase Skill Damage/Elemental rolls on your gear. If you want less of a headache I'd advise to use the 2 Handed Dot build first, to help you farm efficiently, then proceed into a Jade, or one of the End game pet builds once you've acquired some nice build specific loot drops.

    Phase 2 - Greater Rifts/Legendary Gems

    • * Every-time after Defeating a Rift Guardian, you have a % Chance to acquire a Greater Rift token, the chance for it to drop increases with Torment difficulty
    • * After Completing a Greater Rift, you receive 1 Random Legendary gem until you acquire all of them.
    • * Your goal is to obtain 3 Legendary Gems that are working towards you "Gear Progression" Build
    • * "Safe Gems" To Use/Level are as follows: Bane of the Trapped, Bane of the Powerful
    • * Usually your 3rd Gem Option is determined by build

Phase 2 - What Witch Doctor Builds to be focusing towards

The guides inside my WD compendium showcase the different Builds for Witch Doctors, and the versatility of what options we have for T6/GR 30+ Farming.

WD Compendium (Scroll to the bottom for Guides/Videos)

List of Legendary Items that Can take you to T6 Easily, without requiring additional items

    • * Jeram (Voodoo helm) 9.09% Drop Rate
    • * Grin Reaper (Voodoo helm) 18.18% Drop Rate
    • * Worm Wood (Season 2 Patch 2.1.2 Weapon) 18.18% Drop Rate
    • * Quetzalcoatl (Voodoo helm) 9.09% Drop Rate
    • * Rhen'ho Flayer (Ceremonial Knife) 7.04% Drop Rate

    Drop rates mean the following:

    • * The % Chance Drop is for when a legendary drops for that specified s
    • * I.E.: A legendary Sword drops, Doom Bringer Drop Rate is Roughly 5-6%, so basically out of every 20 Legendary Swords that drop you "SHOULD IN THEORY", have one of those drops be a Doom Bringer.

    • * Keep in mind you could go through 40 Legendary Swords, and see no Doom Bringer, then on your next two Legendary Sword drops you get two Doom Bringers in a row, that is what we call "RNG" or Random Number Generator.

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

Phase 3 - "Grinding Phase" In Depth

The final phase is mostly coming to terms with what build to lock down (focusing on a specific build) so that by the end of 24 hours (in game time) your Witch Doctor will be able to farm T5-T6 easily. If you followed the correct steps listed in Phase 2, you should have a clear idea of what build your working towards, and only need to "Min/Max" the final pieces of your gear.

    Debo what is Min/Maxing?

    • * From the Game Theory Wiki Definition:

    • * Min-maxing is the practice of playing a role-playing game, wargame or video game with the intent of creating the "best" character by means of minimizing undesired or unimportant traits and maximizing desired ones.[1] This is usually accomplished by improving one specific trait or ability by sacrificing ability in all other fields. This is easier to accomplish in games where attributes are generated from a certain number of points rather than in ones where they are randomly generated.[2] Min-maxing is particularly common in games where the cost of traits does not reflect their expected usefulness; for instance, in a combat-heavy game a player may focus on physical traits, giving a character abnormally low mental and social skills so that the remaining points can all be channeled to physical statistics that are more likely to come into play.[citation needed]

    • Some video games have guides dedicated to building the absolute "best" character. Min-maxing in video games is considered expert-level play as it requires a perfect understanding of the game's mechanics and systems, but once it is achieved, a game is no longer challenging.

Does Min Maxing make a difference?

    • * Lets look at 6 pieces of gear, with a Stat cap of 500 INT. With those 6 Pieces you average 440 Int per piece of gear, bringing you to 2,640 Int Count. If you were to able to bring the average to 460 Int per piece of gear gear, your new Int count would be 2,760 an improvement of 120 Int. If you were able to average 490 Int Average per piece of gear 2,940, that's a 300 Int Difference from the 440 Avg we started with. So with 13 Item slots in Diablo 3, improving your gear piece by piece, maximizing your Stat rolls on each individual pieces of your gear makes a huge difference in character development.

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

    Phase 3 - Getting into a Routine

Pretty Straight forward here, establishing a routine a to maximize your time to acquire the most amount of crafting materials, Gear, and Blood Shards.

Here is an example of a "routine" I used when I was in Phase 3

    • * Farming Regular Rifts (Torment 3)
    • * Farming Greater Rifts when GR Keystones drop form Regular Rift runs.
    • * Upgrading Your Legendary Gems, after completing the Greater Rift
    • * Spending Blood Shards on specific Gear slots to improve your Build, or Min-Max certain items
    • * Repeat the steps above.

    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

Phase 3 - Gambling for specific item Slots to complete your Build

During phase 2 prioritization on Witch Doctor Voodoo helms is key initially, but after acquiring one of the Build changing Witch Doctor Helms, it is all bout rounding out the items that will improve your build. I.E. Maybe you have 3-4 Pieces of Jade Set, but your lacking the gloves, or Your running a poison Grin Reaper build, and you attempt to gamble for a Swamp Waders for additional poison damage.

    • * Knowing what Build you are committing to and making the correct purchases with Blood Shards
    • * Making Purchases between runs, to allow for frequent upgrades
    • * Gambling for items that "realistically" get is easily, (High Drop % chance items)
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

Phase 3 - Upgrading Legendary Gems

For the most part the following gems are commonly used for most builds: Bane of The Trapped, Bane of the Powerful, Enforcer, and Efficacious Toxin gems. For the most part these gems are would you should be upgrading first with a "New" Witch Doctor. The 1-1-1 Method I use, is to upgrade each gem one Level at a time to Maximize successful upgrades. By the time all your Gems reach level 15, you should have solid gear, and proper itemization with your build to already be clearing Greater Rift levels 25-30.

    • * Identifying the 3 Gems that will work with your build
    • * Upgrading gems with the 1-1-1 Method
    • * Minimize Gem Failing once Gems Reach Level 15

Determining if you will need a Ring of Royal Grandeur

    • * If running Cains Set, with Aughilds this might be necessary
    • * If attempting to Go for a "6" Piece Jade Set this WILL be Necessary
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_

Phase 3 - Crafting high level Gems (non legendary)

Towards the end of the 24 Hour Witch Doctor Run, items should have solid rolls, and your Jewelry should be min maxed to a decent level. Most of your gear will be complete, and Gems should be stacking up due to the probability your jewelry re-rolling is complete. Not to mention your Gold count should be solid allowing you to craft all your gems to "Royal" or "Flawless Royal" very easily.

    • * Crafting Topazes to their highest level.

    Worm Wood Guide

Really a Worm Wood Guide Debo?!?

    • * Yep :|
    Is it necessary?

    • * Yep >:|
    What is a Worm Wood?

    • * 2 Handed Staff, been in the game for a While
    • * Rolls Dex/Int for a Main Stat with a Secondary that has a chance to fear on hit.
    • * Receiving an update in Patch 2.1.2, to be utilized by Witch Doctors

What changes are they making towards it in patch 2.1.2

    • * Worm Wood will gain an new Secondary, that Auto casts Locust Swarm
    • * Worm Wood will gain one additional Primary Stat that Increases Poison Damage (Up to 25%)
    • * It will also (like all legendarys) have a chance to become an Ancient Version of its self in Patch 2.1.2

    Evolution of WormWood

    The Original Weapon: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/wormwood

    The weapon in 2.1.2: http://media-diablofans.cursecdn.com/attachments/21/465/wormwood.png

The Weapon in 2.1.2 With Ancient Affix: http://imgur.com/KilQR2d

    Worm Wood Facts

    • * Having Locust swarm on you skill bar with a rune affix enables the Locus Swarm Auto cast by Worm Wood to gain that affix.
    • * Current Drop % for Worm wood is 18.8% for the Witch Doctor class
    • * The above statement refers, to when a Legendary Staff Drops you have almost a 1/5 Chance of it being a Worm Wood Drop
    • * The Auto cast Locust Swarm (without it being set to your skill Bar) is poison, unless you are Running Locust Swarm with a Rune that changes it to fire or Cold
    • * So in relation to the above statement, If you were to use Locus Swam with the "Searing locust" Run affix, all auto-cast Locust swarm will be "Fire property", and take on the additional effects of the rune selected.

    1.Furnance

    • * 2 Handed Mace , with up to a 50% Increased elite Damage roll
    • * No matter How you look at it regarding this weapon it is undisputed King of all Jade Weapons, the Increased Elite Damage of up to 50% is not easy to overcome by other weapons.
    2.Worm Wood

    • * 2 Handed Staff 25% Increased Poison Damage, with an Auto Cast Locust Swarm Secondary Effect
    • * I only put Worm Wood Above Wrath of the Bone King due to the Fact in Patch 2.1.2 They changed one of the Rune options for Haunt to be poison property, and to have this added effect:
    • *Witch Doctor: Haunt : Poisoned Spirit : Haunt now deals Poison damage and affected enemies take 20% more damage from all sources (reworked from slowing enemies).*
    • * Since the Wrath of the Bone King Lacks the synergy of maximizing the Poisoned spirit Haunt Rune (By providing Increased Damage to Cold) Worm Wood Has an edge up over the WOTBK

    3.Wrath of the Bone King

    • * 2 Handed Mace with up to 30% Increased Cold Damage
    • * Goes will With the Jade build do to 2h Working the best with DOT spells, but also it Increasing Cold Damage which effects are Haunt Rune due to all Haunt Runes being Cold Based
    • * In the future patch this Changes, since one of the Runes for Haunt is Poison based, and has a 20% Increased damage from all sources Affix, which pushes it just Under the Worm Wood due to its future changes
    4.Sun Keeper

    • * Not much to say here, the only 1 Handed weapon you will be using for Jade Build, Outside of the 2 handed weapons I've listed above.

    Legendary Gems with Worm Wood

    Gem of Efficacious Toxin

    • * Base Effect: Poison all enemies hit for 2000% weapon damage over 10 seconds.
    • * Upgrade rank grants: +50% weapon damage over 10 seconds.
    • * Rank 25 unlocks: All enemies you poison take 10% increased damage from all sources.
    • *Efficacious Toxin gem works well with Worm Wood due to the fact of auto cast Locust Swarm. Locust Swarm procs the 1st, and 2nd ability of Efficacious toxin Gem, plus scales well with the gem with the up to 25% increased Poison damage Primary Stat roll.*

    Bane of the Trapped

    • * Base effect: Increase damage against enemies under control-impairing effects by 15%.
    • * Upgrade rank grants: +0.3% damage.
    • * Rank 25 unlocks: Gain an aura that reduces the movement speed of enemies within 15 yards by 30%.
    • *Before unlocking the 2nd Ability Hwoj Wrap with Worm Wood works quite nicely with activating Bane of the Trapped. Once the 2nd ability is unlocked, simply being within the Auto Cast range with Worm Wood, also meets the requirement of being close enough for the Reduced movement speed aura provided by Bane of the trapped to trigger the 1st ability.*

    Skill Builds with Worm Wood

    • * Haunt is left "un-runed" due to the fact Poisoned Spirit will not be in the game until patch 2.1.2
    • *Witch Doctor: Haunt : Poisoned Spirit : Haunt now deals Poison damage and affected enemies take 20% more damage from all sources (reworked from slowing enemies).*

    CarnEvil Guide Patch 2.1.1

General Witch Doctor Build Questions/Info about the build

What element does my Fetish Sycophants benefit most from?

    • * Poison While their shooting darts, but physical when they melee a target .

    What is the Dps prioritization?

    For Stats on gear

    • * Int > Crit Chance > Crit Dmg% > Attack Speed > Avg Dmg
    • * Increase Fetish Army Damage (Note:This only applies to Fetishes that are summoned from the skill)
    • * Attack Speed (Fetishes only fire darts when you do)
    • * Slow Attack speed= Fetishes firing slowly= low Damage output
    • * Fast Attack speed= Fetishes firing quickly= High Damage output

What set pieces/item make the build work better?

    • * Zunimassa 4 Piece Set, to make Summon Fetishes Army Last forever
    • * Aughild's Power + Aughild's Search + Royal Ring of Grandeur, Defense and increase Dmg to elites
    • * Cain's 2 Piece Set, to gain a 8% Attack Speed
    • * Swamp Land Waders: 20% Increased Poison Dmg
    • * Star Metal Kukri: Reduces Cooldown of BBV, and Summon Fetish Army By 1 second each time your fetishes deal damage.
    • * Dagger of Darts: Allows for Darts (Your own, or your pets) to pierce through targets
    • * Unity Ring- For solo play, used with your follower allows for 50% Damage mitigation

    Paragon Setup:

    Core Prioritization

    • * 1.Movement Speed until max
    • * 2.Int

    Offensive Prioritization

    • * 1.Attack Speed
    • * 2.Crit Chance
    • * 3.Crit Damage

    Defensive Prioritization

    • * 1.Armor
    • * 2.Life %
    • * 3.All Resistance

    Utility Prioritization

    • * 1.Life on hit
    • * 2.Area Damage
    • * 3.Resource Cost Reduction

    Gearing list:

The gear list can be different between what you have, and what on the list. I've listed the most commonly used end game pieces that most people use in either group, or solo Greater Rift tier play. As long as you have good rolls on your gear, and farm on a semi regular basis obtaining these items isn't to difficult.

However the hardest items to get are as follows:

    • * 3.Dagger of Darts (With good rolls) (Drop Rate: 7.04%)
    • * 2.Hell Fire Amulet(With good Rolls)
    • * 1.The Witching Hour (Drop Rate: .83%)

    Drop rates mean the following:

    • * The % Chance Drop is for when a legendary drops for that specified slot
    • * I.E.: A legendary Dagger drops, DOD Drop Rate is Roughly 7%, so basically out of every 10 Legendary Dagger drops you "SHOULD IN THEORY", have one of those drops be a Dagger of darts.
    • * Keep in mind you could go through 30 Legendary Daggers, and see no DOD, then on your next 3 Legendary Dagger drop you get 3 DOD in a row, that is what we call "RNG" or Random Number Generator.

With that being said below here is the item list, with what I believe is the best items for that gear slot:

    Terminology: Key

    • * Int= Intelligence
    • * Vit= Vitality
    • * Attack Speed= Increased Item Attack Speed
    • * Critical Chance= Increased Critical Chance
    • * Critical Damage= Increased Critical Damage
    • * Dmg%= Increased Weapon Damage
    • * All Res = all Resistance
    • * Elemental Damage= Increase Fire/Cold/Lighting/Holy/Poison/Physical Damage
    • * LOH= Life on hit
    • * Increase skill Damage= I.E.: "Increase Fetish Army Damage"
    • * CDR= Cool Down Reduction

    Gearing list:

    Helm: CarnEvil

    • * Stats you want: Int, Vit, Crit Chance, Socket
    • * Allows for our Fetishes (Fetish Army, OR Sycophants) to shoot poison darts every-time we shoot a dart.
    • * Mandatory for the build

    Shoulders: Aughilds Power

    • * Stats wanted: Int, Vit, Armor/All Res, Increase Fetish Army Damage
    • * Part of a 3 Piece set combination
    • * 2 Piece set= 7% Decreased damage from melee/ranged attacks**
    • * 3 piece set = 15% Increased Damage to elites, 15% Decreased Damage from elites.

    Gloves: Tasker and Theo

    • * Stats wanted (alternative): Int, Attack Speed, Crit Chance, Crit Damage
    • * Increases pet attack speed up to 50%
    • **KEEP THIS IN MIND about TaT and CarnEvil Build**
    • * The attack speed increase to pets, doesn't work for Fetishes while shooting darts
    • * The reason for the above statement, is due to the fact Fetishes only shoot Darts when you do
    • * The reason why I suggest TOT still, is due to the fact in some situations due to positioning, wallers, and reflect the best course of action to maintain DPS is to simply not shoot darts.
    • * When your in a situation where you want to let fetishes default to melee enemies, TOT will allow them to attack Faster, and maintain a "decent" level of dps until you can return to shooting darts.

Ring 1: Unity, or Stone of Jordan

    Unity

    • * Stats wanted: Int, Crit Chance, Elite Damage, Socket
    • * Stats wanted (alternative): Int, Crit Damage, Elite Damage, Socket
    • * Used for solo play to obtain 50% Damage mitigation with your follower

    Stone of Jordan

    • * Stats wanted: Int, Socket, Elite Damage, Elemental Damage
    • * Stats wanted (alternative): Crit Damage/Crit Chance, Socket , Elite Damage, Elemental Damage

    • * Until you setup a Hell Fire Amulet, any Legendary Necklace will do with the right stats
    • * Preferably a necklace that provides additional mitigation to fire, lightning, ranged attacks etc. will be your best bet until you can craft that perfect Hell Fire Amulet.

    Skill build breakdown:

The only really skills that I can see that can be altered are as follow:

    Jungle Fortitude --> Spirit Vessel

    • * Decreases the cool-down of Horrify, and spirit Vessel
    • * Prevents us from getting one shotted, and provides more opportunities to use Horrify

    Jungle Fortitude --> Gruesome Feast

    • * Strong Dps increase
    • * Good candidate, for an additional passive, once we can lock down a Decent Hell Fire amulet

Zombie Dogs "Leech life" --> Mass Confusion, Gargantuan, Big Bad Voodoo

    • * Mass confusion provides more CC to the build
    • * Gargantuan with Big Stinker, provides a tank, and good enabler of Effacious toxin gem due to its AOE poison
    • * Big Bad Voodoo Provides Attack speed, and Damage increase

Their is a lot of variations that can go into the CarnEvil Build, with being said I believe these skills are non Negotiable:

    Skills

    • * Poison Darts
    • * Spirit Walk
    • * Piranhas
    • * Summon Fetish Army
This leaves 2 Debatable skills open for your choosing.

    Passives

    • * Pierce The Veil
    • * Fetish Sycophants
    • * Grave Injustice
This leaves 1 Debatable passive for your choosing.

    Active Skills:

    Spirit walk- "Jaunt"

    • * Extended time in the spirit realm by 3 seconds, sounds, straight forward choice here no surprise
    • * Will give us the flexibility, when we go against mobs, with jailer, frozen, waller etc.

    Fetish Army "Legion of daggers"

    • * Provides us 8 Fetish at 180% Weapon Damage
    • * Doesn't Matter that it is Physical Property, CarnEvil Converts the Physical to Poison Damage

    .
    Horrify "Frightening Aspect"

    • * 35% Armor Increase, will provide us additional toughness
    • * Provides us additional Crowd Control vs Elites, and trash mob packs
    • * With our CDR, Grave injustice, and Spirit Vessel this skill will be rarely off of cool down
    • * Triggers Bane of the Trapped Gem
    • * Triggers Efficacious Toxin Gem

    Piranhas- "Piranhado"

    • * 15% Damage increase on targets affected by Piranhas.
    • * Vortexes enemies into one area, enabling our Darts to pierce through multiple targets at once
    • * Triggers Bane of the Trapped Gem
    • * Triggers Efficacious Toxin Gem

Poison Darts- "Snake to the Face "

    • * This skill combines well with The Dagger of Darts
    • * Allows for every enemy hit by this skill, to be stunned
    • * Provides Stability, and Crowd Control to Trash packs, and Elites
    • * Triggers out Bane of the Trapped Gem
    • * Triggers Efficacious Toxin Gem

    Zombie Dogs "Leech Life"

    • * Zombie Dogs can tank mobs for us
    • * Leech life provides sustainability to the build, and helps us deal with Reflect mobs

    Passive Skills

    Pierce the Veil

    • * 20% increased damage, Everyone pretty much runs it,
    • * The increased mana cost is a pain, but as long as your smart about casting your spells, this really shouldn't be to much of an issue

    Grave Injustice

    • * 1% Hp/Mana restored, and 1 second reduction to all skills, per enemy killed.
    • * Greatly effects Piranhado, Horrify, and Spirit Walk so we can, get "Instant resets" on our skills cool downs

    Fetish Sycophants

    • * Generates Fetish up to 15 additional fetishes that will increase our Damage Dramatically
    • * Proc co-efficient with Poison Darts, will make it so we have 15 fetishes up constantly, bearing in mind out Attack Speed is high enough

    Jungle Fortitude

    • * Provides additional toughness for our pets, and ourselves
    • * Getting additional toughness through passive, opens up more DPS options in our gear.

    Legendary Gems

For the gem Selection I will list only the most common Gems that Witch Doctors use with this build.

For the CarnEvil Build I have my own personal setup, and the more commonly used by Most Witch Doctors.

    My Top 3 personal Gems

    • * 3.Enforcer
    • * 2.Gogok of Swiftness
    • * 1.Efficacious Toxin
General Top 3 Gems used by most Witch Doctors

    • * 3.Bane of the Trapped
    • * 2.Enforcer
    • * 1.Gogok of Swiftness

    Gem of Efficacious Toxin

    • * Base Effect: Poison all enemies hit for 2000% weapon damage over 10 seconds.
    • * Upgrade rank grants: +50% weapon damage over 10 seconds.
    • * Rank 25 unlocks: All enemies you poison take 10% increased damage from all sources.
Efficacious Toxin gem is as self sufficient as it gets. The dot can be applied by damage you preform, or caused by your pets. The Dot scales with Increase Poison% property items, and since the dot is poison property it auto triggers the secondary effect. Since the CarnEvil build evolves around poison damage, running this gem is a viable and sensible option.

Skills we have that trigger it

    • * Poison Darts "Snake to the face"- Stun
    • * Horrify- Fear
    • * Piranhado- Stun
    • * Zombie Dogs

    Bane of the Trapped

    • * Base effect: Increase damage against enemies under control-impairing effects by 15%.
    • * Upgrade rank grants: +0.3% damage.
    • * Rank 25 unlocks: Gain an aura that reduces the movement speed of enemies within 15 yards by 30%.
Overall If your looking for a good standard gem that works in pretty much all WD builds, this is it. The gem self-activates just by being in close proximity of a monster, in combination with other impairing effects. The damage is ACTUAL damage increase on the target, just as if your using piranhas or Strong Arm bracers, which is pretty awesome.

Skills we have that trigger it

    • * Poison Darts "Snake to the face"- Stun
    • * Horrify- Fear
    • * Piranhado- Stun

    Enforcer

    • * Base Effect: Increases the damage of your pets by 15%.
    • * Upgrade rank grants: 0.3% more pet damage per level.
    • * Rank 25 unlocks: Your pets take 25% reduced damage.
Solid choice in any pet build. The secondary doesn't really make to big of a difference, but if you find your self running a build that uses Fetish Army, and Fetish Sycophants the 25% damage mitigation for pets really helps those builds especially through Greater Rifts. This gem along with Gogok of Swiftness I feel is non-negotiable.

    Gogok of Swiftness

    • * Base Effect: 50% chance on hit to gain Swiftness, increasing your Attack Speed 1% for 4 seconds. This effect stacks up to 15 times.
    • * Upgrade rank grants: +1% chance.
    • * Rank 25 unlocks: Gain 1% Cool-down Reduction per stack of Swiftness.
For the Witch Doctor, Gogok is a solid gem choice for many builds. The attack speed helps with Fetish generation, and outputting damage with build such as the CarnEvil the secondary isn't the best but it isn't the worst either. In the Carnevil build, since Attack speed GREATLY effects the damage output of that build, gogok is a definite must. Non-negotiable.

    My personal setup:

Bane of Power, Efficacious Toxin, Gogok

    And Debatable:

    Zei's, Enforcer, Gogok

    http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-class-forums/witch-doctor-the-mbwiru-eikura/90771-debos-ptr-2-1-seasons-review

    What is P.T.R Patch 2.1

    • A Test server, where Blizzard tests their patches before they are released
    • You can Import your characters from the main "Live Servers" over to the Test Realm
    • Any Items obtained while on this server do not carry over to "Live Servers"
    • There no separate servers for PTR, All players from NA, EU, Asia all login on the same server
What is Blizzard planning to introduce in the upcoming patch?

    • Tiered Rifts
    • Ladder Seasons
    • Class balancing
    • Legendary Gems
    • Introduction of new Seasonal Legendaries
    WitchDoctor Meta for tiered rifts

    Non Seasoned

    Top Builds:

    Jade Set:

With the changes to the Enforcer Gem, where pets can no longer become invincible, Jade has been a very popular choice. It doesn't rely on pets, has solid Legendary gemChoices to improve the build, and the 1-2 Shoting of elites is very powerful. It is still a sought after in groups, due to CC potential, and burst damage. Dependingon how Blizzard decides to deal with pets dying in combat, will determine whether or not this will be the future #1 build for Witch Doctor.

    Rhen'ho Flayer:

Solid choice for climbing tierd rifts. Rhen'ho Flayer allows for excellent pet generation, and Crowd Control. Wether you going poison, or physical both work well this build, and with Legendary gem choices of: Gogok of Swiftness, and Enforcer allows for solid damage potential. The only weakness that has occurred with the build is due to the nerfto the enforcer gem. However with proper passive choice, and toughness I don't believe this will be to much of a problem.

    Star Metal Kukri

In the last patch, this was the bread, and butter for all High tier ranking Witch doctors, after the enforcer gem was maxed. The main thing that has changed, is that the enforcer gemno longer can grant pets invincibility, but 30% pet damage reduction. Fetishes die before they can get enough attacks in to reset the Fetish army skill, but since Blizzard has fixedthe issues with Fetish army skill, and Fetish Sycophants conflicting, a Starmetal Kukri build were to use a 3 piece Zuni set, it could give the set real viability at higher rifts.

Witch Doctor Meta for Season tiered rifts

    SeasonsTop Builds:

    Rhen'ho Flayer:

At the earlier levels obtaining a Rhen'Ho Flayer, allows for strong fetish generation, and solid primary Damage potential. A lot of early Legendary gem choices it allows for thisweapon to achieve good scaling at early rift/game play hours. Gogok, Enforcer, Simplicity Strength. Thats improved pet damage, increased attack speed on hit, and Increased damage toprimary skills. With the fixes to Fetish army, and sycophants not conflicting will allow for Zunimassa set to be utilized with it.

    Star Metal Kukri

If your lucky enough to acquire this weapon early on, it makes climbing rifts a breeze. The only reason this isn't beating Rhen'ho Flayer out in early levels, is because it takes a littlebit in gear selection to allow for it to start being really effective in comparison to Rhen'ho Flayer. Early Zunimassa set makes this build very solid, especially if you can acquire a Tall mans Finger as well. I still think this will be the strongest build of all three, but won't reach its maximum potential until gems begin to hit max level.

    Jade Set

With the changes to the Enforcer Gem, where pets can no longer become invincible, Jade has been a very popular choice. It doesn't rely on pets, has solid Legendary gemChoices to improve the build, and the 1-2 Shotting of elites is very powerful. It is still a sought after in groups, due to CC potential, and burst damage. Dependingon how Blizzard decides to deal with pets dying in combat, will determine whether or not this will be the future #1 build for Witch Doctor.

Pretty much as stated as above, everything boils out to the same thing. However what makes this build fall behind in seasons, is due to the lack of having access to a DoubleUnity follower combo. Once a jade set can maintain a good toughness, or the unity combo this build really fall short in earlier levels. Not to mention to even begin the Jade set requires 5 pieces of the set items, excluding the head, a Quezacotl, and Ring of Royal Grandeur. So if you can obtain these items early, by all means go Jade. But realistically its easier just to build towardsto one of the two builds above.

    Witch Doctor in Seasons

What is a seasons created Character?

    • Seasons is a competitive ladder in which players are ranked against one another
    • All season characters start at level 1
    • They do not start off with any, artisan levels, paragon levels, or gold
    • Time period for these seasons will last from 1 to 6 months (To be determined by Blizzard)
    • At the end of a season, all Items, Gold, and paragon levels will transfer over to your non-seasoned account
    • As an extra incentive to play seasons, each season will provide Season Only Legendaries
    • At the end of the season, These special Legendaries will become available for non-season play.
    Witch Doctors from level 1-70

Here is a guide I did pre-PTR 2.1, that simulated season play:

    http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-class-forums/witch-doctor-the-mbwiru-eikura/89656-debos-100-hours-of-simulated-ladder

    Leveling Seasoned WD on PTR

    • On the PTR, Adventure mode was made available from the start of level 1, We do not know if this was intended by blizzard or a mistake. It was commonlyexpected a player would need to clear story mode first, before unlocking adventure mode. We will have to wait on Blizzard to see if their going to keep itset up this way.
    • If playing the normal intended way, Bounties/Rifts to level 70 is the sure fire way to go.
The Miser's will PTR 2.1 Seasons exploit

Here is a link to what The quest actually is:

    http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Miser's_Will

What cause, and effect did this have on seasons?

    • Players would set this quest to Torment 6, go inside open the correct chest completing the bounty
    • The player would receive a Enormous amount of Exp, Gold, and a chance for Legendaries
    • By using this exploit a player was able to level from 1-70 in a 1-2 hour Time frame.
    • At 70, if the player choose to do so, they could repeat the following process to obtain insane amounts of exp for paragon levels, and gold for crafting
In game play time to get from 1-70

Clearing story mode, then using adventure mode until Level 70

    • Normal: 12-14 Hours est.
    • Hard: 10-12 Hours est.
Clearing only in adventure mode until Level 70

    • Normal: 11-12 Hours est.
    • Hard: 9-10 Hours est.
Using: The Miser's will set on T6 bounty quest to 70

    • Torment 6: 1-2 Hours est.

    Greater Rifts on PTR Seasons

    • Everything involving PTR seasons Greater rifts, relates pretty much the same, as non seasoned Greater rifts.
    • It was hard to gague how long it took for what classes to start hitting GR's levels 20+, due tot he Miser's exploit
    • On the Witch Doctor I was playing, about 40-50 Hours in game time I started consistently beating levels 20-21
    • Players that did climb the ladder quickly usually obtained one of the following: Rhen'Ho flayer, Star Metal, or a complete Jade Set.

Greater Rifts on PTR Endless exploit, and T6 experience in Level 1 GR

What is a Greater Rift Trial token?

    • In previous builds, when you beat a rift you have a chance to get a GR Level 1 Token
    • In this PTR build, to allow players to skip early GR levels, you now receive "Trial GR Tokens"
    • When these Tokens are used, you have multiple "waves" of monsters, the highest Wave you complete determines your GR starting level.
    GR Endless exploit:

    • 2 Person party minimum is inside the game
    • Creator of the game uses a level 1 Keystone to open a Greater Rift, and has another keystone (not level 1) in their inventory
    • The Creator then drops the Lv 1 keystone on the ground
    • After the following step has occured, the other players hit accept, the Creators level 1 Keystone remains on the ground
    • The Creators 2nd Keystone regardless of level is consumed, and the Rift is created.
    • All players complete the level 1 Rift, receive a new Keystone, and the creator goes back to town picks up the Level 1 Keystone, and the process repeats
T6 Experience in Level 1 Greater Rift

    • 2 or more players create a Greater rift in a T6 game
    • Players enter the rift, one portals back to town
    • The player that is back in town re-enters the rift thru a player banner, and the other players do the same.
    • Once back into the rift the difficulty changes from Rift level 1 to torment level 6
    • This allows players to hit high level paragons in a short amount of time
Effect these exploits have on ptr Seasons season 2

    • Madness, simply madness LOL
    • It makes being able to track natural character progression, impossible
    • On a positive note, Blizzard seems to know of these exploits, and will likely take them out.

    Class balancing:

These are the most noticeable changes I've acknowledged, I've included the link in the next line that shows all changes that have been made:

Full list of WD changes: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/14569138/patch-210-ptr-patch-notes-updated-august-5-8-5-2014#witchdoctor

    • Summoning your Fetish Army no longer un-summons fetishes summoned by Fetish Sycophants

    Skills and items disabled:

    • Carnevil helmet effect has been disabled, so fetishes will not shoot darts, while using this helm
    • Fierce loyalty- Only the movement speed bonus has been disabled

    In conclusion

    • Wrathful protector Damage was nerfed, but it makes sense for the amount of damage he was doing.
    • Pets Hp no longer Scales with Greater Rift levels, basically this means: Your pets are going start dying a lot more
    • Fetish Army no longer, conflicts with Fetish Sycophants, this might actually provide a good replacement skill to Wrathful Protector
    • And of course a lot of the different skills have had their elemental property changed
    • Gargantuan Humongoid Cleave arc is amazing, with Piranhado
    • The changes to Acid cloud will allow for interesting, build combinations

Legendary Gem options (Patch 2.1/Current PTR)

    • Legendary gems are currently planned for future Patch 2.1, and are like on Test Server PTR**
    • Leg.Gems Can only be placed in Rings, Amulets
    • So you can only have 3 Leg.Gems at once
    • Gems will be leveled up through an npc
    • Every level upgraded on the gems, increases the primary effect slightly
    • Secondary Effects are unlocked at level 200
    Simplicity's Strength

    • Increase the damage of primary skills by 30%
    • Secondary Effect: Primary Skills heal you for 2% of maximum Health on hit.
    • Pretty Decent Leg.Gem but I would only use this gem if I were running explosive Toads.
    • To get the most out of this gem, it is best to be combined with Gogok of Swiftness
    • secondary Effect provides excellent Mitigation for High level rifts
    Gogok of Swiftness

    • 40% Chance on hit to increase Attack speed by 3%, stacks up to 10 times (30% IAS), proc refreshes previous stacks.
    • Secondary Effect: Also gain 2% Cooldown Reduction per stack
    • Best Gem possible for the Rhen'Ho Flayer Build, up 30% Increased IAS
    Mirinae, TearDrop of the StarWeaver

    • 15% Chance on hit to smite a nearby enemy for 1000% Weapon Damage, as Holy
    • Secondary: Periodically smite a nearby enemy.
    • Works will with Plague of Toads since it triggers the effect.
    • It procs often, and works well with low level to Moderate level rifting

    Enforcer

    • Increase the Damage of your pets by 25%
    • Secondary: Your pets take 30% less damage
    • Pretty much mandatory if you plan on running a pet build
    • Pales in comparison to its previous iteration, but to honest the gem is balanced now, but could use some tweaking.
    Moratorium

    • 30% of all damage taken is instead staggered and dealt to you over 3.0 seconds
    • Secondary: 10% chance on kill to clear all staggered damage
    • Insane Damage Mitigation for higher level torments
    • Not that noticeable at lower level torments, but really shines in High Ranking GR runs.

    Bane of the Trapped

    • Increase damage dealt against enemies, who are under the effects of control impairing effects by 20%
    • Secondary: Gain an aura That Reduces the movement speed of enemies within 15 yards by 30%
    • Used a lot in Jade Set, and some pet Builds. Solid overall gem choice
    • Combos in well with horrify, or Howj Wrap + Locust swarm combo.

    Bane of the powerful

    • Gain 25% increased Damage After killing an elite pack for 20 seconds
    • Secondary: Increase Damage against elites by 20%
    • Another Gems that a lot of jade doctors run
    • One of the strongest secondary effects of all gems

    Wreath of Lightning:

    • 15% Chance on hit to gain Wreath of Lightning, dealing 400% Weapon damage as lightning to nearby enemies over the course of 3 seconds.
    • Secondary:Wreath of lightning Effect also grants 25% movement speed
    • Solid choice for earlier to mid levels in Greater Rift, can become fairly decent at higher rifts levels if upgraded.
There a lot of other gem choices, but I only listed the major ones WD's can benefit from

    New Seasonal Legendary

    Krelm's Buff Belt

    • Grants a 25% Movement Speed bonus
    • Taking damage causes you to lose this effect for 5 seconds
    • 2 piece bonus: 500 Vit
    Krelm's Buff Bracers

    • Grants you immunity to Knock-back and Stun effects
    • 2 piece bonus: 500 Vit
    Overall Set bonus:

    • Increased movement speed to 25%, losses effect for 5 seconds after being hit
    • Immunity to knock-back, and stun effects
    • 2 Piece set bonus: 500 Vit
    • Very Strong set just for a Bracer/Belt combination
    • Ring of Royal grandeur, will allow us to use 2 piece, Aughilds, and Cains Destiny set in-combination with it.
    • Towards the end game other belt/bracer options, come into effect, but for the early game GR levels : 1-28 it is a very solid choice

    Witch Doctor Seasonal Legendary

    p1_CeremonialDagger_norm_unique_02 (Name still TBD)

    • New Ceremonial Dagger, makes your fetish (while shooting darts), and Poison Darts pierce.
    • Can't really test its potential until they re-enable Carn Evil helm to work.

    p1_CeremonialDagger_norm_season_01 (Name still TBD)

    • New Legendary Ceremonial Dagger
    • Soul Harvest now stacks up to 10 times
    • The potential is their, but I always ask myself if I'd favor this weapon over Rhen'ho, or SMK
    • Getting this weapon early in seasons, would be very strong, 20% increased Int is very powerful.

    Witch Doctor PTR Seasons GUIDE:

Witch Doctor Meta for tiered rifts

    Non Seasoned

    Top Builds:

    Rhen'ho Flayer
No surprise here, the harsh reality after pet HP scaling within greater rifts was removed, pets started dying left and right.
With The Rhen'ho flayer, consistent pet generation, with STRONG crowd control gives our pets a legitimate chance of not dying. If a monster is afflicted by confusion from addling toads, they will not be able to effectively deal damage to our pets.

    Star Metal Kukri

In the last patch, this was the bread, and butter for all High tier ranking Witch doctors. The main thing that has changed, is the pets HP scaling. With pets dying so easily (mostly fetishes), you begin to start having issues around levels 30+. Fetishes die before they can get enough attacks in toreset the Fetish army skill, thus rendering Star Metal Kukri worthless. However with the inclusions of legendary gems the build will return to normal, oncea player can raise the pet Legendary gem to max level, to enable the secondary ability of the gem, in which all pets become un-killable.

    Jade Set

Jade is still sought after greatly in parties, and performs fairly decent in solo play. It reaches a "wall" at floor levels 31-32. With the right legendary gems, and gear.I wouldn't be surprised if it could go higher. But in general Jade does just fine, in greater rifts.

    • It was hard to gauge how long it took for what classes to start hitting GR's levels 20+, due tot he Miser's exploit
    • On the Witch Doctor I was playing, about 40-50 Hours in game time I started consistently beating levels 20-21
    • Players that did climb the ladder quickly usually obtained one of the following: Rhen'Ho flayer, Star Metal, or a complete Jade Set.
Greater Rifts on PTR Trial token Exploit
What is a Greater Rift Trial token?

    • In previous builds, when you beat a rift you have a chance to get a GR Level 1 Token
    • In this PTR build, to allow players to skip early GR levels, you now receive "Trial GR Tokens"
    • When these Tokens are used, you have multiple "waves" of monsters, the highest Wave you complete determines your GR starting level.
Issues with the GR Trial token

    • The waves are suppose to directly relate to the difficulty of that GR
    • Example: Wave 1= GR level 1, Wave 2= GR level 2
    • However sometimes, the waves will scale off of Game Difficulty, which conflicts with completing the waves correctly.
    • Blizzard is aware of this issue, and stated that this was unintended
    GR Token Exploiting

    • 4 Person party is inside of the game
    • First party member uses the GR Trial Token, and when prompted the other players decline entering the Trial Rift.
    • The person inside the Trial Rift leaves, failing the GR Trial
    • After that player completes the Trial Rift quest, all players are rewarded with a GR token level 1.
    • Every player repeats this process until, all members have GR tokens level 1.
    Class balancing

    Witch Doctor Changes:

    Taken from here:
    [PTR Patch Notes](http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/14569138/patch-210-ptr-patch-notes-updated-july-18-7-18-2014#witchdoctor)

    • An icon has been added to display the number of Fetishes summoned by Fetish Army that are currently alive
    • An icon has been added to display the number of Fetishes summoned by Fetish Sycophants that are currently alive
    • An icon has been added to display the remaining duration of Gargantuan - Wrathful Protector
    • Summoning your Fetish Army no longer un-summons fetishes summoned by Fetish Sycophants
    • Skill Rune - Wrathful Protector damage Nerf
    In conclusion

    • Wrathful protector Damage was nerfed, but it makes sense for the amount of damage he was doing.
    • Pets Hp no longer Scales with Greater Rift levels, basically this means: Your pets are going start dying a lot more
    • Fetish Army no longer, conflicts with Fetish Sycophants, this might actually provide a good replacement skill to Wrathful Protector
    • And of course a lot of the different skills have had their elemental property changed

Legendary Gem options (Patch 2.1/Current PTR)

Legendary gems are currently planned for future Patch 2.1, and are like on Test Server PTR

    • Leg.Gems Can only be placed in Rings, Amulets
    • So you can only have 3 Leg.Gems at once
    • Gems will be leveled up through an npc
    • Every level upgraded on the gems, increases the primary effect slightly
    • Secondary Effects are unlocked at level 50
    Simplicity's Strength

    • Increase the damage of primary skills by 25%
    • Secondary Effect: Primary Skills heal you for 2% of maximum Health on hit.

    • 50% Chance on hit to increase Attack speed by 2%, stacks up to 10 times (20% IAS), proc refreshes previous stacks.
    • Secondary Effect: Also gain 2% Cool-down Reduction per stack
    • Best Gem possible for the Rhen'Ho Flayer Build, up 20% Increased IAS
    Mirinae, TearDrop of the StarWeaver

    • 15% Chance on hit to smite a nearby enemy for 1000% Weapon Damage, as Holy
    • Secondary: Periodically smite a nearby enemy.
    • Works will with Plague of Toads since it triggers the effect.
    • It procs often, and works well with low level to Moderate level rifting
    Enforcer

    • Increase the Critical Chance of your pets by 20%
    • Secondary: Your pets are un-killable
    • Pretty much mandatory if you plan on running a pet build

    • Gain 30% increased Damage After killing an elite pack for 20 seconds
    • Secondary: Increase Damage against elites by 20%
    • Another Gems that a lot of jade doctors run
    • One of the strongest secondary effects of all gems
    Wreath of Lightning:

    • 15% Chance on hit to gain Wreath of Lightning, dealing 500% Weapon damage as lightning to nearby enemies over the course of 3 seconds.

    New Seasonal Legendaries

    Krelm's Buff Belt

    • Grants a 25% Movement Speed bonus
    • Taking damage causes you to lose this effect for 5 seconds
    • 2 piece bonus: 500 Vit
    Krelm's Buff Bracers

    • Grants you immunity to Knock-back and Stun effects
    • 2 piece bonus: 500 Vit
    Overall Set bonus:

    • Increased movement speed to 25%, losses effect for 5 seconds after being hit
    • Immunity to knock-back, and stun effects
    • 2 Piece set bonus: 500 Vit
    • Very Strong set just for a Bracer/Belt combination
    • Ring of Royal grandeur, will allow us to use 2 piece, Aughilds, and Cains Destiny set in-combination with it.
    • Towards the end game other belt/bracer options, come into effect, but for the early game GR levels : 1-28 it is a very solid choice
    Witch Doctor Seasonal Legendary

    • Not implemented yet T_T

is Poison "It overrides w/e property they are currently set to."

-They ARE effected by "Increase Fetish Army Damage"

They are considered "Pets", and can benefit from
Mask of Jeram/ Task Theo Gloves.

    **Final things you should remember**

-Fetishes Can die "From monster damage, time expiring, or recasting Summon fetish Army.

-Fetishes From the gibbidin do NOT apply to the Fetishes you generate via the passive, or the Skill. They are however affected from mask of Jeram (90% sure of this), but they can't critical hit.

-Fetishes Can benefit from Big Bad Vodoo, and other classes "buffs" They are considered allies.

-Fetishes that are stunned, or frozen while using the Carnevil, can cause them to not shoot darts anymore. The way I get around this is by recasting the spell "Summon Fetish Army", or procing more of the passive ones.

    Skill build breakdown:

    Active Skills:

    Spirit walk- "Jaunt"

    • Extends the time of Our spirit walk, It is a very straight forward decision
    • I tried to look for alternative spirit walk runes, but their really just isn't one.
    Zombie dog- "Rabid Beast"

    • Poison property for our Gargantuan Dog, does massive single target damage
    • Poison De-buff stacks on the target, and is great for melting Elites, and Rift Guardians
    • Swamp Waders, really makes the most out of this rune.

    Zombie dog- "Life Link"

    • Physical Damage property, provides additional 10% Mitigation, nice but not to thrilling here
    • The VERY nice thing about this rune is the property, it shares the Same as the Fetish Scyophants Passive pets.
    • At higher level in future Greater Rifts, the Damage mitigation is very nice to have Levels 30 +
    Zombie Dog- "Burning Dogs"

    • Fire Damage property, overall probably considered to be the "best overall" gargantuan dog.
    • Single target is fairly decent, but the AOE fire ability is where this rune really shine.
    • Also since it is fire property, Exploding toads damage will be greatly improved, if running Fire Elemental gear
    Gargantuan- "Wrathful Protector"

    • Strongest, iteration of Gargantuan, excellent for doing large amounts of damage, in a small amount of time
    • If going fire property element Damage, works well with Explosive toads, and Burning Dogs
    Big Bad Voodoo- "Slam Dance"

    • 30% Increased damage, on top of the 20% increased attack speed? This will help us dispose of elites quickly
    • Wrathful Protector since it is a "Summoned" pet, it gets the FULL benefit of Slam Dance (Damage and Attack speed.)

    Plague of Toads- "Addling Toads"

    • Combines with Rhen'Ho Flayer, and Toads have a 15% chance to confuse enemy targets. Poison Property
    • The Addling toads CAN confuse Elite mobs, however they can't confuse Rift Guardians.
    • With Swamp Waders, Damage increases fairly, and makes trash mob clearing much easier.

    Plague of Toads- "Explosive Toads"

    • Combines with Rhen'Ho Flayer, and deals massive fire damage.
    • Highest damage dealing toad rune, synergizes well with Burning Dogs, and Wrathful Protector
    • Very easy to obtain fire elemental gear that will increase the toad damage.
    Piranhas- "Wave of Mutilation"

    • Poison property, good damage, nice "crowd control" effect, 8 secondcool-down
    Piranhas- "Piranhado"

    • Nice alternative, you can drop one of yoru Zombie dog passive, run Grave Injustice and use this passive.
    • Either of these runes are fine, main point being they provide additional Crowd control with Addling toads.
    +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+

    Passive Skills

    Pierce the Veil

    • 20% increased damage, at the cost of 30% increased mana cost? We don't even much mana in this build, sounds like a winner
    • When Patch 2.1 Hits, this skill will dropped, and regained on the New Hell Fire amulet. It allows for a 5th passive on Necklace slot
    Zombie Handler

    • Increases HP of our Zombie dog, Gargantuan, and personal HP by 20%
    • +1 To Zombie dogs = More Dps for our Gargantuan Dog.
    • This will be a passive you alternate Fierce loyalty out for, when surviving becomes an issue
    Fetish Sycophants

    • Rhen'Ho Flayer generates fetishes extremely well, and the fetishes are Physical Property
    • They die fairly easily, but with Rhen'ho Flayer fetishes will constantly keep generating
    • To get the most out of this skill, going physical elemental damage will help immensely
    • In Patch 2.1 they have a gem that allows pets to never die, which would work well with this skill
    Midnight Feast

    • 50% increase Damage to Gargantuan, and Zombie Gargantuan Dog.
    • +1 To Zombie dogs = More Dps for our Gargantuan Dog.
    • You will pretty much always have this gargantuan, if your running Gargantuan, or Zombie dogs

    GEM CHOICES:

Link to Diablo 3 Offical Gem section on their site:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/gem/

    Standard Gem Choices:

    Amethyst:

    • Perfect in Helmets, 23% Life percent, good for gaining more toughness
    Diamond:

    • Alternate to Amethyst in helmet, Cool down reduction is always a solid choice.
    • Wrathful Protecter, Piranhas, Spirit Walk will all benefit from the reduced CDR
    Topaz

    • Best choice for our Chest, Pants slots
    • Every 10 int = 1 All resist
    • Topaz inside a off hand that is socketed, is also a nice choice
Legendary Gem options (Patch 2.1/Current PTR)

Legendary gems are currently planned for future Patch 2.1, and are like on Test Server PTR

    • Leg.Gems Can only be placed in Rings, Amulets
    • So you can only have 3 Leg.Gems at once
    • Gems will be leveled up through an npc
    • Every level upgraded on the gems, increases the primary effect slightly
    • Secondary Effects are unlocked at level 50
    Simplicity's Strength

    • Increase the damage of primary skills by 50%
    • Secondary Effect: Primary Skills heal you for 2% of maximum Health on hit.

    • 25% Chance on hit to increase Attack speed by 2%, stacks up to 10 times (20% IAS), proc refreshes previous stacks.
    • Secondary Effect: Also gain 2% Cool-down Reduction per stack
    • Best Gem possible for the Rhen'Ho Flayer Build, up 20% Increased IAS
    • Secondary effect, will work wonderful with the skills we use in this game
    • Increased Attack speed = more Plague TOads cast = more Damage = generating fetishes Quickly

    • I can go into detail about how awesome this gem is, but it speaks for itself
    • The secondary effect, is the biggest bonus due to FS passive fetishes die quite easy.
    Moratorium

    • 50% of all damage taken is instead staggered and dealt to you over 3.0 seconds
    • Secondary: 10% chance on kill to clear all staggered damage
    • Insane Damage Mitigation for higher level torments
    • Not that noticeable at lower level torments, but really shines in High Ranking GR runs.

**On June 7th I created a fresh Character on the EU server:**
    **Female Witch Doctor Coco**

    • She started at level 1
    • She had no paragon levels (Tech she had 3, due to me deleting my level 60 monk from vanilla, these points weren't invested till 70)
    • She had no gold
    • She was not allowed to use any gear from, pre ROS, or other players
    • She would only be able to level, and farm Solo. So no other player interaction
    • Her progress was documented, and all 100 in game hours were Streamed to ensure her legitimacy within this test.
    • At 100 in game hours the test concluded so we could analyze her progress from start to end.

The Gameplan/Strategy of this character were laid out as follows

    • Game difficulty will remain at normal Difficulty until 70
    • Pick up all items, to use for crafting.
    • No re-rolling items until levels 60-70
    • Not investing any money into upgrading gems until 70
    • Begin in story mode focusing only on the major plot line quests, and excluding additional areas not involving it.
    • Finish story mode as quickly as possible, to unlock adventure Mode
    • Grind Adventure mode until Level 70, doing act 1 Bounties.
    • At level 70 Run rifts, until you have no more Keystones.
    • Reforge rare items to their maximum potential
    • Invest all initial blood shards into obtaining one of "4" Legendary Witch Doctor Helms
    • Craft the major sets: Cains Set, Aughilds set
    • Begin the "Grind rotation": Act 1 Bounty run > Rift > Repeat. (When ladder comes out I'll rotate tiered rifts)

    **Breakdown of the game-plan/strategy**

**Game difficulty will remain at normal Difficulty until 70**

    • This is to streamline things, up until 70.
    • Lets us clear story mode quickly, to unlock adventure mode
    • Enemies are easy to dispatch with, more enemies killed = more crafting materials

**Pick up all items, to use for crafting.**

    • While leveling we will be crafting,(mostly weapons and mojos) to maximize our damage.
    • Reforging at early levels is fairly expensive, so we will be crafting weapon upgrades until 61
    • Starting at level 61, All items should be picked up and salvaged
    • Starting at level 61, We will stop all crafting until 70

**No re-rolling items until levels 60-70**

    • This is to conserve our money, and crafting supplies
    • Not investing any money into upgrading gems until 70**
    • Marquise gems begin dropping at 61
    • Marquise gems will be more than enough to keep us going in early stages of gearing at level 70
    • Also until we craft Cains/Aughilds: we don't want to begin upgrading Gems until this is completed.

**Begin in story mode focusing only on the major plot-line quests, and excluding additional areas not involving it.**

    • Our goal is to unlock story mode as quickly as possible

**Finish story mode as quickly as possible, to unlock adventure Mode**

    • Once adventure mode is open, we can begin to acquire: Blood shards, and Keystones fragments

**Grind Adventure mode until Level 70, doing act 1 Bounties**

    • Bounties provide Gold, Experience, Blood Shards, Keystone Fragments, and Horadric Caches

**At level 70 Run rifts, until you have no more Keystones.**

    • This is to allow us to gamble for one of the "4" legendary witch Doctor Helms*
    • Also provides: Gold, Exp, Fragment Shards for crafting, and chances to get legendaries that may prove useful.

**Reforge rare items to their maximum potential**

    • This is the cheapest, and quickest way to increase, our sheet DPS, and toughness
    • The major rare items to reforge are: Weapons, rings, Amulets, Gloves

**Invest all initial blood shards into obtaining one of "4" Legendary Witch Doctor Helms**

    • Jeram- Basis to all pet builds, king of all voodoo masks
    • Grin Reaper- This helm appears the most, and will carry us in our gearing for end game items.
    • Carn Evil- Didn't see this helm at all, could be to RNG but another strong helm to start of early gearing with
    • Quezacotl- Same as Grin Reaper, appears fairly often, and can carry us in the early game.

**Craft the major sets: Cains Set, Aughilds set**

    • Cains For Pants, and Boots, two piece bonus : 8% Increased Attack Speed
    • Aughilds For Shoulder, Chest, and Bracers two/three piece bonues: 7% Less Damage from Ranged/Melee, 15% increased Elite damage, 10 % less from elites.
    • Best Craftable sets in the game. Combos in well with Ring of Royal Granduer, this is something we can control in a RNG based game.

**Begin the "Grind rotation": Act 1 Bounty run > Rift > Repeat. (When ladder comes out I'll rotate tierd rifts)**

    • The Bread, and butter grind rotation, allows for the most optimal gearing process.

    **In Closing:**

    • I was quite surprised the amount of progression I was able to make in this small amount of time.
    • With the Changes Blizzard has been making over the last months, it seems that players will be able to reach the end game sets in 1 month
    • 100 Hours game time ended with a Character that could perform at T5 level
    • 200 Hours game time will easily allow for people to acquire end game sets
    • Even players who can't devote 100 hours of game play in 2 Weeks within a months time of regular play will see the fruits of their labor quickly.
    • I look forward to testing the PTR, and all of the new additions that it will include.

    **Gearing list:**
    Helm: CarnEvil

    * One of the "Elite four" of Witch Doctor Helmets, this will maxamize our Star Metal Kukri to the fullest.

    Shoulders: Aughilds Power
    * Combined with the fact were using Royal Ring of Granduer, and Our shoulder/bracer slots are open this is an obvious choice.**

    * 2 Piece set= 7% Decreased damage from melee/ranged attacks**

    * Ring of Royal Granduer enables 3 piece set = 15% Increased Damage to elites, 15% Decreased Damage from elites. **

    Gloves: Tasker and Theo
    * Increases attack speed for fetishes(only when meleeing), Gargantuan. Optimizes our Damage in situations when you can't shoot dart directly at the enemy.

    Ring 1: Stone of Jordan
    * Elemental Damage, and Increased damage to elites? Not to mention the potential to roll strong Primary stats, and a reforge to enable some crit damage, or crit chance. **

    * This combined with Royal Ring of Granduer, is the Best in slot combo (excluding if your running unity/follower combo) in game for this build.

Ring 2: Royal Ring of Grandeur
    * Love it, or Hate it this ring is your best friend. Reduces set cost of all set items by 1, but nothing permited below 2 set pieces.

    * This combined with Stone of Jordan, is the Best in slot combo (excluding if your running unity/follower combo) in game for this build.

    Weapon: Star metal Kukri
    * Star Metal Kukri: Massive Cooldown potential from fetish + Tribal Rights + Grave injustice = Crazy Bad Voodoo & Wrathful Protecter spamming. *

    * With this weapon it turns our Big Bad Vodoo, into a permenant 30% Damage & 20% Attack increase buff.

Off Hand: Zunimassa String of Skulls
    * One of the three pieces, that enable us to hit our 4 piece set (with the help of RROG) for a permenant Fetish army that last until they die.

    * This is pretty much non-negotiable

    Boots: Zunimassa's Trail
    * One of the three pieces, that enable us to hit our 4 piece set (with the help of RROG) for a permenant Fetish army that last until they die.

    * This is pretty much non-negotiable

    Pants: Swamp Land Wadders
    * 20% Increased Poison elemental Damage, on a pants slot? Easy Decision here.

    * Gives our Fetishes, Gargantuan, and Zombie dogs an insane DPS increase.

    Belt: The Witch Hour
    * Witching Hour: Survivability stats are lacking, but: Attack speed & Crit Damage on a belt make up for it.

    * Increased attack speed = Allows for faster Dart shooting = Fetishes getting in more Vollys = Higher Dps

    * Critical Damage = A lot of increased damage for pets.

    Chest: Zunimassa Marrow
    * One of the three pieces, that enable us to hit our 4 piece set (with the help of RROG) for a permenant Fetish army that last until they die. **

    * This is pretty much non-negotiable

    Bracer: Aughild's Search
    * Combined with the fact were using Royal Ring of Granduer, and Our shoulder/bracer slots are open this is an obvious choice.

    * 2 Piece set= 7% Decreased damage from melee/ranged attacks

    * Royal Ring of Granduer enables 3 piece set = 15% Increased Damage to elites, 15% Decreased Damage from elites.

    **Skill build breakdown:**
    ** Active Skills: **

    Spirit walk- "Jaunt"
    * Extended time in the spirit realm by 3 seconds, sounds good to me. Since we don't use alot of mana for this build it is a straight forward decision on this rune choice. **

    * With Grave Injustice this allows for us to Run short on toughness, due to the fact this skill almost always being off cooldown. **

    Fetish Army- "Legion of Daggers"
    * 8 fetishes, Physical property, and damage can be increase by: "Increase fetish army" Skill damage rune.

    * Please remember when using Carnevil, no matter what property the FA skill is set to, it is converted to poison while shooting darts.

    Gargantuan- "Wrathful Protector"
    * Ok I know he likes to "herp de derp", and it's a fire property rune, but hey Tribal Rights + Grave Injustice + Task Theo + Big Bad Voodoo = Spamable Wrathful......when not Derping. **

    * To decrease the "derp" factor I advice summoning the Wrathful protector directly next to the elite.

    Big Bad Voodoo- "Slam Dance"
    * 30% Increased damage, on top of the 20% increased attack speeed? We have our "Elite killing" spell.

    * Combine this with Grave Injustice + Star Metal + Tribal Rights = 90% of the time this spell is off its cool down

Poison Dart- Snake to the face
    * Mandatory in a CarnEvil Build, Allows for your Fetishes to mimic shooting darts when you do.

    * Also the Stun effect on Snake to the face will help us dramatically in controlling Rifts Bosses/Elites.

    Piranhas- "Piranhado"
    * 15% Damage increase on targets affected by Piranhas. Sounds pretty nice, and with Grave Injustice we will be using this ability often.

    **Passive Skills**

    Pierce the Veil
    * 20% increased damage, at the cost of 30% increased mana cost? We don't even use mana in this build, sounds like a winner. *

    Grave Injustice
    * 1% Hp/Mana restored, and 1 second reduction to all skills, per enemy killed. This with our other Cool down reduction skills make it so we can maximize damage,
and allow our cooldown reduction to come from our skills not our gear.

    Tribal Rights
    * 25% cooldown reduction on Big Bad Voodoo, and Gargantuan. Combine this with Star Metal means constant spamming of these usually long cooldown based skills.

    Spirit Vessel
    * Pure survivability, Shortens our cool down for spirit Walk as well, CarnEvil usualy doesn't build to much toughness, but with this skill it allows us to "thread the needle".
