so why do i hear or read in forums that someone is inviting other players to go farming but requires them to have xxxx amount of MF.
Isn't MF independent of each player or does a player's MF influence the outcom of the other player as well?

Is the link in your first post in page 1 reflect the updates in patch 1.0.3 ?

Or are you still adjusting the values?

May i ask the following:

1) Do you run with that much MF all the time? or do you just wear it when you are about to kill an elite/champion pack/boss?

2) Is there a big difference if you wear MF while doing normal mobs? Do they drop Rare if you do?

3) Is there a difference if in a 4-party team, only 1 or 2 or 3 wears MF gear? Is there a benefit in your drop rate if others wear MF gear?

In short, will my drops be better if I run siegebreaker with my 3x friends who have 300MF gear each than if I run it solo with my own 300MF?

4) Is there a table or chart that classifies or categorized MF? Like from 0%-40%MF= 1%increase chance to drop rare, 40%-80%=2% chance drop rate, 80%-120%=3% chance drop rate, etc etc

Or would you see a benefir from drop rate chance even if you increase the MF value by 1

But sacred shield's block only goes upto 20$% right? the most i see in AH is 20% while stormshield is 30%

Do i still need to look for a high block rate in sacred shields? or is the more impt item there the armor and stats?

Is Stormshield the best shield for monks?

If so, what should i look for in buying the shield?

do i prioritze block% ? damage reduction in elite? armor of shield? etc?

I'm a wiz and everytime i fight an elite in a very narrow space, I always die no matter what. (like in entrance of caverns of frost).

In this regard, I am having my friend roll a melee class to make our farming faster. He stays in front and i pewpew from behind.

Which do you think would be a better class in farming Act3-Siegebreaker and beyond. (Also act4 if need be). Let's say both barb and monk will be decently geared having a 1k weapon and such.
Should I make him roll a monk or a barb?

Hi.

I'm here to ask for help on how to gear up my young nephew's monk. Although he is a good player, he is still too young or maybe is just not that interested in reading up on how to make his monk the best. He is more of an arcade type player that just wants to "shoot and play".

In this regard, I want to help gear him up the right way as his gear is more of only centered on dexteriry and vitality (level 45-60 gears).

I have around 3M gold to spare so I will be hunting in the AH to upgrade his monk's armor and wep.

Points of concern:

a) We will ALWAYS be playing together as a group so he needs to be a tank and I will provide DPS. 90% we will be running 2-man and 10% we will be running 4-man with other friends.
b ) We plan to farm Inferno - Act 3 / Act 4. My Wiz is already in Inferno Act 3.
c) My Wiz has decent gears which I will still upgrade when I get more gold. For now my concern is upgrading the monk, Wiz stats = 45k DPS / 50k HP / 250ish resist / etc

Questions:

1) I've read around and is it right to go for this stat on his monk: Armor=7k / resist-600+ / LOH=600+ / HP=30k
2) As a tank, Is this "Order of priority" right? Resist > LOH > Armor > HP > IAS > DEX
2) As a tank, should he use 1-hand/Shield or Dual Wield is still better to have more hits for LOH?
3) As a tank, would it matter if his weapon only has 300 dps or so? I intend to go after the stats of the weapon. I believe the faster the weapon the better right? (for LOH)
4) I just read something about "Life on spirit spent". Is this more important than LOH? Should I go after this stat? Where does it fit in the order of priority?
5) I also read somewhere that there's this good boots (Asheara's Lock) for monks that has both resist and attack speed which only costs 100-200k in AH. Yet I can't find it in AH. Anyone knows how to find it?
6) Are there any good gears I should look out for in AH that is a must have for monks? (Like stormshield for barbarians - i think)

I want to research as much as I can before I buy armor in AH for him as 3M is not that much.

All suggestion/tips are highly appreciated.
