^ Has obviously not played torchlight 2 or probably torchlight 1 either.
How could someone possibly say TL2 doesn't have the "feel" of TL1? I mean, they are pretty much the same exact games with different classes and areas. Also, saying the combat isn't brutal only proves he plays on normal or casual difficulty as anyone with the balls to crank up the difficulty would find that TL2 is exceptionally brutal.
This is a problem when anyone talks about another ARPG on this site or another MMO on MMO-Champion. People come crawling out of the woodwork to talk shit even having never played the game. And just like MMO-Champion mods are now getting in on the action here.
Never said it was perfect, but, it has something that D3 doesn't, right now.
And.. rare items being rare in D3?, really?.
Good rare items.
In TL2 I can go naked with 1 weapon and all my passives on max and smash heads in.
Ya know what. As a moderator you are going out of your way to shit on TL2 every chance you get. You keep saying how you can face roll through the game, then turn up the difficulty. You realize you can do that right?
Since when is it okay for moderators to troll the forums they moderate? Would love some feedback on that from Daemaro.
OT: Hell yeah. 100% agreed. The game actually rewards you for playing a normal amount where D3 only rewards you (unless you are ridiculously lucky) for playing an obscene amount. TL2 feels a lot like D2, even when you crank up the difficulty which far surpasses any difficulty in D2.
Hit 60 -> spend 20 minutes in the AH -> dominate inferno
Yeah, that sounds awesome! Stupid.
Diablo 2: Meet level requirement for item -> spend a week trying to track down and trade that item via chat and websites -> improve character in a week
Diablo 3: Meet level requirement for item -> spend 5 minutes tracking down an item -> improve character in 5 minutes
Making the tracking down process easier doesn't upset me in a game where killing monsters is the goal.
Don't bother trying to talk since into these ignorant morons. It doesn't work. They aren't happy unless they are crying and whining about shit and so they won't use common sense at all.
A:"Cool, where is this farming place that's fast and cheap?"
B:"The AHs. Just buy what you need!"
Its frustrating and so against the very loot nature of ARPGs. It seems that all the focus now is how much their item will sell, how the economy will be affected, how much one can resell an item.
Hopefully as time goes by things get better.
Items that were selling for 50million gold 3 months ago are now selling for 10k gold or less. Specifically 1100 damage 2 handed weapons and 80 AR rare armor. And yet people like you still piss, whine, moan, and groan about loot and the AH.
Seriously, how can anyone still play this terrible casual-game?! Even now with its panda&Pokemon expansion its even worse than before...
Poor baby. Did a new player race really ruin a game for you? Could you possibly be more immature? As to being a casual game, you obviously are not in a heroic raiding guild that pushes for server firsts. If you were you would not be running your mouth like a little baby.
Use evasive fire to trigger tactical advantage every 2 secs and you will be moving at lightning speed while dealing damage.
Woohoo, that 2 seconds of speedy strafing is amazing!
I should know by now that I need to better state things on these boards for people like you.
Strafe is hella fun with my 40% WF. Its a great "utility" ability because if I get surrounded I can strafe to safety while knocking things back. Besides that bit of utility it is a shitty skill in most every other situation. It is terrible for single target damage, it is even worse for AoE damage. Yes, the basic utility of moving while shooting is fine, but unless you want to completely waste a passive on "Tactical Advantage" you are never going to have the movement speed while strafing to really matter. Yes, Tactical Advantage is a complete and total waste of a passive. The additional movement speed after vaulting, popping smoke screen, or wasting discipline on the evasive fire flip is utterly pointless as each of those abilities (if used properly) should get you away from w/e is threatening you.
Why waste passives on Tactical Advantage and Nightstalker, thus losing massive amount of DPS, when you can take passives that directly boost your damage so you don't need the additional movement speed and discipline? Like honestly, it makes no sense at all. Maybe once PvP comes out they will be truly beneficial for that, but for the basic game they are garbage passives for a class that should be striving to 1 and 2 shot mobs.
Pointless post and faulty assumptions are a bitch.
You are not going to see "10 seconds reduced to 8" type things at all. So even trying to start a convo on that premise is fail.
If you read what the devs actually said they said that each successive CC is going to grant mobs stacking CC reduction. If you used common sense this means that the abilities themselves won't be changed at all. What will change is that monsters will get more resistance to them as more CC is used on them.
I've done a bunch of runs for about seven hours - all of them on servers with an even number and below 100. Nothing. Not a set item, not a legendary, maybe 2 or 3 rares that should sell for 200k or so a piece.
When I read that people are finding legendary items, set pieces on a semi-regular basis - meaning THEY FIND THEM - I'm just done with this aweful game. Please, save the RNG crap. If you can't open your eyes to the fact that there are hidden weights and controls to who gets loot and who doesn't, than enjoy you apparently good standing and call it lucky RNG. Whatever. You'll enjoy this shit-tastic game. I'm done with it for now.
Like so many disenfranchised players of this crapfest of a game, they will read the patch notes and get lured back in, and hopefully not repeat the same shit-storm of boring, unrewarding gameplay.
I'm so pissed that I've invested so much time, money and energy into this game. And by money I mean buying the collectors edition and being stoked for 3 years for this game to come out to have such a pathetic excuse of a game served to us.
GG.
Another person who obviously didn't understand the concept of any Diablo game when he bought D3. Please quit, as that would leave you little reason to post more of this type of drivel on these boards.
More than half of those levels were done with 5 stacks in Act 3 as well... God I'm unlucky.
So lets make yet another repeat thread crying about "poor me i haven't gotten a legendary QQQQQQQQQQQQ"? I wish I was a mod, I would ban people like you outright at this point.

Do you believe that the "loot tables", whatever that really means, are actually explicitly set-up differently for each server?
As much as I generally jump all over people for "conspiracy theory bullshit" it is potentially true in this case that each server might have a quota of X legendary drops per hour or per day or something like that. This isn't unheard of as other games have done similar things in the past to ensure that players can't just farm farm farm for hours on end and rake in extreme amounts of certain drops.
WoW for example, I think, does this with BoE pet drops and rare spawns like the TLPD. Sure, TLPD could spawn 2 times in a row and offer up 2 mounts to 2 different people, but it doesn't, ever. Sure you could sit in Zangarmarsh and farm the little dragonfly pet, but when one drops you won't see another that day. Is there documented proof of these examples? No, it is just speculation from my and my guilds endeavors to farm these things. But it would not be at all surprising or unheard of.
I think if people that are interested in this theory were to compile drop rates of various items based on the games IP addresses we could see how true or false this really is. But with the provided information from the OP (only showing even number IP games of 98 or lower) there is no way to really see any differences. But, I won't completely call bullshit on the theory.
Edit: Also, if each server has a drop quota along the lines of X legendary's per hour then it is completely possible that some employees may have tweaked the settings on certain servers so they can get better drops.

If you care you should be posting on the official forums, not here. Just saying.

Imagining things, as is the usual with you.
