Me and my friend have been trying to roll EQ helm for Kadala for more than 2 weeks now - my friend has gotten like 5+ of both Raekors, IMK, Invoker but 0 EQ. I know this is RNG RNG RNG, It would just make me feel better to hear that someone has indeed gotten the helm off her recently- just so I can justify my thousands upon thousands of shards trying to roll this helm.
My current answer is lightning. Fire hits hard, I'll give it that. I was able to switch over to a fire/6 piece build keeping the cindercoat and the damage is great, kills are fast, so fast that I would rarely get more than 2 sentries up for a pack. However, while it worked up to T5, I was still running into survivability issues in T6.
I made the switch to lightning after getting a perfect lightning SoJ and I can clear T6 rifts with little issue. It's not as fast, not only did I sacrifice some sheet dps, but it's just not as hard hitting as fire, BUT everything stays stunned. It's just a good feeling spec.
Haven't been lucky enough to get a physical SoJ and my physical bracers are 15% (eww) but I'll try it eventually. What I'm seeing on various posts is that it's capable of hitting even harder than fire but I'll be honest it's going to be hard to give up that "permastun" effect.
My thought is that lightning (for me personally) is going to be my go to for solo and I'll probably end up using physical for group play.
I have yet to try lightning - do you mind linking me your lightning build that you tested with. I have a lightning soj + lightning amulet - I would just have to get some lightning bracers. I agree I'm very content with my physical build and I don't think I will be switching anytime soon - I play with groups 90% of the time i'm on.
Do to the popularity of our other debate 1h vs 2h with Marauder set. I would like to move on to the Elemental Damage: Fire vs Physical - Pros vs Cons. All I ask is your input on the testing you have completed thus far and your thoughts.
I've been having discussions with TrueColdKil our class moderator and I feel like we need to open up a discussion to better understand the Pros and Cons for 2h vs 1h setup with 6 Piece Marauder. All I ask is your input on the testing you have completed thus far and your thoughts.
1h: Calamity w/ Sentry Quiver
-Faster speed at which sentry shoots, 20% additional damage from calamity
2h: Hellrack, Buriza, Kridershot w/ Sentry Quiver
-Slower speed, bigger hits, higher low end damage on weapons
1h x 2: Calmity + Nat's Slayer
-Benefit of Nat's bonus, 20% damage from calamity, maximum of 3 sentrys w/o sentry quiver (Custom Engineering)
Hi Mamba....your gear is just fine and so is your build. Nice one. You wont use all of the 5 sentries, only in bosses, but there are times in overcrowded rifts that the whole lot of sentries will help a lot. Just a tip for you....Cull of the weak do not work with sentries....I was told so in offcial forums. I usually go for a defensive passive so I can survive a little more in T6.
I see your running fire. Is this best for dps output?
I've been following Philo's stream and basically what was discovered is that once you get 6pc, you can just put abilities on your bar, and things die. Fire worked just as well as physical (running Cindercoat over Tasker) with CA and MS. The Sentry choice also seemed to matter very little, as the spender damage drastically outweighs the standard turret damage, so running Guardian Turret seemed like the right call.
As for the bow, Chanon Bolter by far is the best, closely followed by Hellrack. The taunt is on Chanon is reaally really valuable, but as it is one of those 1% drop bows, most of us will have to settle for the latter. I'm not sure Krider is even worth it tbh, as your sentries will start spamming the subpar EA.
As for passives, anything goes really. I'm a fan of Awareness + Perfectionist + Steady Aim + TA (or CE if you don't have the quiver yet), but that's because I hate dying lol.
You want a high damage (not dps) wep with the sentry quiver. Krider breaks this build by making your sentries shoot at 1aps instead of your attk speed, assuming your using elemental arrow.
This is a t6 spec, things die to fast on lower levels to use the sentries. The same applies to your wep choice, big damage weps shine on t6 while 1h xbows are great t3 and lower.
what quiver? and what are some 2hs I can use before I find a krider?
I recently got my last piece of marauders + royal ring of grandeur so I'm now rocking 6 piece but I need help with transitioning my fire to phyiscal
Some questions I have as you look over my gear:
1- Do I drop natalya's (set) and use calamity in my main hand + the sentry quiver? or Vice Versa? or keep both 1hs on until I get krider?
2- I feel like it takes time to cast my sentrys and by the time the elite is dead in t4 or t5 I can get a max 3 up if I put on custom engineering, how would I be able to get 5 up with the quiver in such a short time? (Invest in cooldown reduction?)
3- Am I ready to transition to physical? I can re-roll my Neck, Bracers to physical and then I also have a physical soj in the bank.
4-If I'm ready for physical can someone post a build with a rotation? The most thing I'm concerned about is how do I get up my sentrys in time.
Nice build definetively going to try it out, still waiting for a Krider but I got 5 pieces Marauder yesterday in 4h playtime including Marauder chest from Kadala(<3 the event buff)
I also run the ca/ms. You dont actually cast those skills, your sentries do. If you have a full tank vs whites you can ms, if elites you can cluster. But thats gravey, your not really going to be casting them very often unless your using calamity and starting with a multishot to mark them.
His generator is frost arrow, he gets 4 hate everytime he fires using that bow.
"Ok, but all of them are used for their entire duration? That's the point."
Im also using custom engineering, The key is spacing them til you hit a big pack then drag them back into your sentry pile.

This sounds amazing. Can't wait to get 6 piece only have 2 piece and still need rrog.
WOW...I can finally use my Kridershot. Yesterday, making some tests I tried out playing a lightning build and T5 was as easy as it get with Krider and Marauders. and my build is far from optimal yet, I only got a SoJ for lightning and that was it. The cloak is not the best one for this build too. My profile show the gear and the build I tried yesterday and T5 was a breeze, The defensive build I'm using was for T6 and worked like a charm. Has anyone tested out more Marauder's builds? For the ones that do not know, the sentry internal CD is now unique for each hatred expender and they are independent, so when you have at least 2 hatred expenders, your sentry will only shoot your hatred expender. Here are the numbers:
Was your kridershot from Kadala or Drop? Can you post the spec you found best for T5? Can you further explain CA/MS build..I don't see how you can manage these two hatred spenders, what is your hatred generator for this?
