    Wait until 18 May :(

Nah, will be PL 100 today ;) Also, you wouldn't have won anything even if I did get it on the 18th. You edited your post 2 days later and hence broke the rules.

Mob density IS that something extra, that allows people farm more then act 3 from para 0-100.

Well, everyone is allowed to play outside act 3. I played almost equally in acts 1, 2 and 3 (not 4 though). I never used a hellfire ring or put a ruby in my helm but I am almost lvl 99, just playing the game for fun (single and coop).
I don't understand people focusing in parangon leveling (except the "world first", I can understand the thrills of the competition at that time). Parangon leveling was supposed to be a bonus you get while you play the game, not the goal of the game. But it seems most players don't think like me so I must be missing something :)
I am not against the mob density change though. I like changes, it makes the game more fun !

I'm all about min/maxing my character and knowing (if I was on PL99) that I can gain 3 dex, 2 vit, 1 str/int is motivation enough for me. My character is only 99% of what it can be even before considering gear. How can I sleep knowing this? :P PL100 or nothing. The game starts at max level (PL100). Then I can start farming for better gear.

    But, to each his own.

And to those doubting patch 1.0.8 isn't all that much better whenit comes to XP gain: I went from 70-90m xp/hour in normal farming to 160-180m xp/hour. That's even without knowing what route is the best in act 1 and 2. Soooo, yeah. 82-86 last night in just 4 hours.

I don't really call parangon leveling min/maxing. You just do it faster but in the end your plvl 100 character and mine have the same benefits. Min/maxing is making choices that make your character better, not making the same character faster (I call that rushing). But I respect the way you (and many other players) play !

I even believe Blizzard should reset parangon levels for the xpack IF they add some interesting perks/content (new skills/runes/crafting recipes/new bosses or dungeons available, etc...) at different levels (if it's only at max level it's useless, the point would be to make players happy to reach plvl 70 for example because they can now craft that new legendary follower specific item that allow them to have a follower in multiplayer games).
If they don't add anything new to parangon level they should leave them as they are of course.

Reseting PL? Yeah, I like that tbh. Tell blizzard :D

I find it hilarious that they celebrate the games first year live, and at the same time talk about security issues and AH exploits. That's something they should have been done with 1 month into the game. Also, I really thought we'd have some kind of random dungeon generator or custom maps by now. Maybe some kind of survival mode or a few more uberbosses.

Nono, it's all about "finding players near you" and "now you can have a message next to your name to broadcast to all your friends". Stop making this game into facebook and give us some content :S

It's so easy to whine and complain about it. Where is your constructive criticism? Security issues are ALWAYS going to be coming up, as NOTHING is truly secure. Games get bugs when new content patches are introduced. They are adding new content, but it costs money and takes a lot of time. You seem like a spoiled child that isn't getting his/her way, so you just whine and complain about it instead of realizing that they are trying their best. I feel sorry for your parents.

Oh, I hit a nerve! Spoiled? All I do is tell people what I wish for and I don't think I did so in a "spoiled brat" fashion. I also wrote letters to santa claus when I was a child, asking for stuff. Spoiled? Nah, I'm just irritated that the possibilities of the game isn't being used to it's full potential. Blizzard never read these comments anyway.

And I called my father. He doesn't mind that I asked for more than I have. Want me to give him your number, so he can call you and verify?

Do people STILL think this is an MMO and it's going to get new content on the scale that WoW does, or even close to it? Not happening. We'll get an expansion and we'll get small things to do added every now and then. Pretty much everyone that played D2 knew this going into the game.

I did play D2 the first 4 years after it came out. That's 10 or so years ago. Times have changed. And of course, D3 isn't and never will be an MMO. But the focus on party play and social features sure makes me think Blizzard want it to be one.

Random dungeons or a possibility to play player made content (via mods, editors etc.) should have been part of the original product if you ask me. I hope to see it in the expansion, but I have my doubts. Time will tell. As I said earlier, if they want me to pay for more content: I will. Hire a bazillion developers/artists/goblins/carpenters w/e. Build it and the people will come (or something like that).

Content? That shit costs money to develop.

And I'll gladly pay for it. 10 euro a month? 20? Bring it.

posted a message on Exp farming Solo or Co-op???
Group is by far better for reasons already stated, but also because in a group you'll farm more intensely. That is my experience at least. Everyone wants NOT to be the one holding the group back and will therefore avoid going afk, spend time on AH in between runs, etc. When I solo I tend to lose focus which in turn will nerf my xp gain.

Speaking of Speed Palm builds though... I notice you're using an Echoing Fury. How often do you find that the fear kicks in and does it cause you any problems with exploding palm? I've been sorely tempted by them, but in the Speed Palm sticky it mentions that it's not the greatest to use with Exploding Palm....

My EF is only used when I do uberbosses or farm with a CM wizard (they freeze mobs 100% of the time, so the fear is not a problem). I use a WKL when I'm farming solo. http://www.diabloprogress.com/item/25756070 <-- that one :) It gives me the same DPS as my EF, although I notice my spirit regen is somewhat lackluster.

    :) 53% done!

It'll go even faster from now on. Patch 1.0.8 will (most likely) be here tomorrow and the xp gain looks good. It'll be a nice change to be able to farm act 1 and 2.

Thanks for the response. Nice to know I'm on the right track and have some numbers to shoot for as it were. Like maybe I could lose some attack speed for the crit damage. Not much obviously, but I imagine removing attack speed from the weapon would greatly reduce the cost for a higher DPS weapon. Of course if I kept that then I could remove it from somewhere with a lower gain for maybe more crit damage too. Love balancing acts.

As for Mantra. That's more something I'm playing around with and thinking about changing back to Conviction - Overawe. There isn't any doubt that Conviction adds a nice chunk of DPS, but with how packed the mobs are more dodge and that explosion can help thin them out quickly too. Maybe once I get up there in gear it'll make more a difference though

+ Att. speed on weapon is a very bad stat, so weapons WITH + X% att. speed cost far less than those that have other more usefull stats. The att. speed affix will affect the dps number and "lie" to you about how much you gain. A faster weapon (dagger, sword or fist) has high base attack speed, but suffers from low dmg range. It is not a bad idea to ha a slow weapon with high dmg range as a main hand. It's not the dps that buffs your spells (sw cyclones etc.). It is the dmg range.

i.e. it is better to have a wep with 1000 dps and no att speed affix than one 1100 dps wep WITH such an affix. I generalize, but I find it hard to explain.. I'll try again later if you don't understand :)

Mantra's are important, but you'll find what suits you best and stick to it. I will say however that Mantra of Evasion (dodge bonus) only helps you against a small percentage of the attacks you receive, while Mantra of Conviction is always on.
