Arcane Torrent damage is increased by 305% weapon damage every second, up to a maximum total of 1010% weapon damage as Arcane.
Flame Ward

You take 15% less damage from attacks while channeling. Every second you channel increases this amount by 5%, up to a maximum total of 25% damage reduction.

Arcane Torrent's damage turns into Fire.

Build Guide

This is mostly Hardcore-oriented fire build, which utilizes the Arcane Torrent: Flame Ward not only as the damage dealer but also as the toughness buff. Not to mention, it can hit targets behind the waller's walls and other minor obstacles. This build also relies on three classic damage/toughness active-passive boosters: Magic Weapon, Familiar and Energy Armor, though if you feel you can utilize those slots better, you can also swap them out. The remaining two skill slots are free for whatever skills you want. Yours truly has a Hydra (mammoth hydra) and Teleport there.
Firebird set 6pc is a must for both a lot of extra damage and for the revival in case something managed to maul you badly (the set also allows to remove the Unstable Anomaly and use something else in its place). Using Aughild's set for further defense buff and some extra damage vs elites is also quite good. If you can squeeze it in, Tal Rasha's set or NEW Blackthorne would be good too.
