Build Guide

Overview

This build is an easy-to-play and fairly easy to gear for generator build. For pushing into the 90s or just completing your seasonal journey with a lazy build, this is a good choice for you. Other than the set and the newly reworked Hellcat Waistguard belt, you don’t need much to get started and can just add additional items to increase your effectiveness as you acquire them. If you are interested in an in-depth look at the Hellcat Waistguard mechanics, you can check out my post here.

Itemization

Crit chance + damage and fire elemental damage where possible. You need three items with CDR (preferably both weapons + shoulders) with a well-rolled Dawn. The secondary affix on Dawn is quite important, if you have a very bad roll you should consider running with additional CDR to maximize your Vengeance uptime. Other than that, try to get AD on as many items as possible (weapons, shoulders, gloves, rings), rings with physical damage are also good. Fill the rest with defensive stats (vit, life%, allres), and once you feel comfortable with your toughness, you can start replacing defense for grenade damage on belt + pants.

Playstyle

Try to make huge pulls, spam your generator at all times and keep an eye on your Convention cycle, you want have your Endless Walk set on the damage side when fire comes up. Set up your Caltrops when you stand still and nuke, spam Fan of Knives on cooldown for the additional defense. You should aim at grouping up monsters away from walls or obstacles, since the bouncing grenades despawn when they hit them.

Variations

Instead of Buriza in the cube, you can also cube Dawn or Ballista and equip another one-handed weapon (e.g. Balefire Caster for additional elemental damage).

With some changes this build can also be played quite efficiently in Torments, however Multishot will still remain the top build for sure. Endless Walk can be changed to Hellfire Amulet + Stone of Jordan, Buriza in cube can be changed to In Geom for Preparation spam, or the two weapons can be changed to Danetta’s with a cubed Dawn, while changing Vengeance – Dark Heart to Seethe.
