Greetings D-Fans! Been a while since I posted here, but I felt it would be appropriate as I've been playing D3 again recently.
First and foremost I want to open up the table for any helpful tips or knowledge anyone might have on the class itself. I'd post my spec/gear but I'm certain I'm gearing correctly, and my specs are fine(I use multiple depending on how bored I am)
The main reason I'm here is I want to know if any of you have any special builds for ubers. I'm not soloing them, so all I really want is a spec thats going to give me the highest possible single target damage output. Me and the friends I play with have downed them all(On MP5) already with little difficulty, however this isn't good enough for me. I want to completely obliterate them one target at a time.
Have you looked into Stone of Jordan? I throw that on every time I go up to MPAnything because elites are the majority of time spent on my runs.
I appreciate the input, and I see how having that ring would help for the encounter, but I'm looking more for build advice. I want to know if there's a build out there specifically designed for maximum single target DPS.
bola shot - imminent doom: seems to be the highest damage hatred generator
cluster arrow - cluster bombs: for ubers, it hits 3-4 times. forget impale which only hits once with big numbers, cluster arrow works better, not to mention it goes through enemies. when i go for ubers with my usual party, cluster arrow ticks 4 times at 800-1.2m dmg per tick.
marked for death - mortal enemy: hatred generation to make you able to spam cluster arrow fast
shadow power - gloom: i usually hold rakenoth solo while the rest of the party goes for ghom. this is possible only because i have almost perma gloom
preparation - backup plan: disc source
smoke screen - lingering fog(optional): the only uber that can 1 shot me even with gloom up is maghda's butterly homing attack and kulle's meteor hit. it's easy enough to react to and use smoke screen to avoid getting hit.
passives:
steady aim(you don't need to faceroll ubers, you're usually at a distance anyway
archery(50 crit always helps)
night stalker(for perma gloom for bosses like maghda or ghom/rakenoth and sigebreaker)
Bola shot - stun = Works great for all bosses
Spike Trap - echoing blast - Great Damage overall
Shadow Power gloom
Sentry - spitfire for ubber damage ou guardian for more resist
preparation - backup plan
Marked for death - mortal enemy
passives
Archery/perfectionist(you may change to night stalker)/custom engineering

I'll definitely be giving this a shot. My only concern is using Cluster Bombs. I know Cluster Arrow hits like a truck, but wouldn't you have to be right in the face of whoever you're shooting in order for all the bombs to hit? The shot moves so slow and has such a short range, which conflicts with Steady Aim.

This is similar to the build I was using before. I discovered having Spike Trap/Echoing Blast under the boss at all times does some serious damage. The only problem is if they move then I just wasted a whole orb of Hatred. Usually it's not that big of a problem, just not desireable.

nope.
first, not all your bombs are going to hit the enemy. the goal is to have as many bombs hit including the last one.
second, steady aim does not conflict with the cluster arrow's sweet spot, in fact, you need to be just a little bit further than 10 yards. if you play with cluster arrow in normal, say, mp4-5 runs, you'll get used to the sweetspot and you'll easily estimate the correct distance for fighting ubers. if you're doubtful, you can play with your character sheet open and you'll see that you need to be further than the minimum distance for steady aim to work and get the bonus 20%.
lastly, there is no problem with cluster arrow being 'slow'. siegebreaker and ghom are practically stationary enemies. maghda is usually cornered. leoric moves but is predictable so your cluster arrows should seldom miss. rakenoth only teleports but is mostly stationary as well. kulle moves more often than most but if you're used to it, most cluster arrows you throw out will hit him perfectly anyway

If you want to know anything else just ask.

edit: i think current profile is the uber build one: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Robbie-6838/hero/1376697
if it's wearing SoJ and has MFD + bola+imminent that must be it.
