I'm all for a dexterity class such as a rogue, but hopefully melded with the old amazon class.
Making a flat out "ninja" class would just plain gather all the idiots together in one class. Obviously some people would be great at the class itself, but I'd expect to see a lot of incompetency. Let keeps it more simple.

"The gaming public now has focus on Diablo again, and with it comes the modern-age of trolling and jackassery."
i didn't even realise that the class was black because the armor style didn't revolve around the race of the paladin. I still picture a white guy with white and blue armor that I just wanna bash in the head for his self-righteousness
Why dont you give a reaon to not include an asian class?
You just say its "going too far" and leave it there.
Cause it's my opinion I think it would rock as some hireling but I don't wanna play a class like this in Diablo.

samurai sounds cool, but we only have 3 open character classes left, and samurai is sorta like a barb. sorry man, but unless blizzard decides to make more classes, theres no room for oriental. but if there was, i would support it... its a nice way to make more worldly aspects of the game.
I make his words mine too.
The ideas are great on this thread the expansion could include Xiansai like LoD added Harrogath and then include the samurai-like class but for start I think is going too far...again:P
they'd probably just fill the mid-line, given attacks from middle range so they don't play just like barbs. It's sad, really. I always wanted to play as an oriental warrior in a game that didn't totally revolve around them (twelve-sky= 7EH SUX. Kingdom of Paradise= boring as hell)
Kensai's rule in Baldur's Gate II. Kensai/Mage. Awesome class.
I wish more people played that game before completely dismissing an oriental based/sounding class in a medieval fantasy game. Though Forgotten Realms, wherein Baldur's Gate is set, does have the nation of Kara Tor. And it is oriental themed.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Only if they have respeccing, AoE, and a hearthstone talent.
Wanna slap me?
In all seriousness, though, I think the Samurai would be a cool class, especially because Japanese armor was around in Diablo 1. (Also, the Grandfather looked somewhat like a Katana)
I think someone has this in their sig, as well.

It may still be fun, but it will be World of Diablo.
Nah, the Grandfather is a colossus blade and its just as straight as all the others.
The most asian like weapon in D2 is the war scythe which kind of resembles a naginata. Like the war staff from the first D.
Wow, you're the one, lol.
Go look up the Grandfather sword in Diablo 1 (yes, it exists there)
It looks like a Katana. It also exists in Diablo 2 as a Colossus Blade, obviously. (True fan here)
Edit: The ironic thing about this post is that the japanese sword in your sig IS the Grandfather sword. (the graphic for it, anyway)
Edit 2: I just realized you thought I was talking about D2. I was talking about D1's Grandfather.
