Trapper Keeper build. This involves dropping my traps, kiting mobs through it while casting chakram that travels slowly (serp). Rebuilding hatred and disc through bola shot, then continue dropping traps.
And for bosses, I keep dropping caltrops and use rapid fire.
This is a PvE build that COULD be used in Inferno, but I need to know more game mechanics to see it.
Link to build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#bcXUPh!cab!ZZYYYZ
I believe this build has a nice balance between area of effect skills to wipe out hordes quickly, and
single target attacks against bosses and stronger enemies. Against lots of enemies, Bola Shot and
Cluster Arrow work great, and heavy hatred cost for cluster arrow can be paid by using Preparation
with the Punishment rune. Against a Boss, I like the rapid fire with slow, Cull the Weak for
increased damage, Marked for Death with Mortal Enemy for Hatred regen and even more damage, and
a longer range Evasive Fire to flee when needed. And of course, I chose Demon Hunter as a class
because they look badass xD
Primary : Firebomb - Conflagration rune.
While my pets do the tank and spank i will run around casting this badboy spell over groups of enemies and oblitirate them!
Secondary : Hex - Hedge Magic.
My pets will take alot of dmg so ive invested one slot for the hex ability with Hedge Magic that will heal them and ofc me.
Defensive : Summon Zombie Dogs - Burning Dogs.
My dogs is out no matter what! and its good to have dogs that burns enemies around them dealing extra dmg.
Terror : Sacrifice - For the Master.
In large groups its allways nice to go boom with a dog and get rid of everything in my way, and top it with a rune that heals myself if im in trouble.
Decay : Gargantuan - Bruiser.
This big guy will take the tanking seriously, and even slam my enemies hard with a nice stun.
Voodoo: Fetish Army - Fetish Ambush.
Theese small guys will help me and my pets when im in trouble (bosses and elite mobs). The rune makes it a nice burst of dmg as they appear that will get rid of leftovers before they go nuts on bosses.
Passive Skills :
Zombie Handler - 4 is better than 3! My pets gets alot more hp that makes it harder for diablo's minions to kill them. Also i get one more to sacrifice.
Circle of Life - This one is nice to have when im going boom with my sacrifice pet ability, when i blow up one i can get a chance to get new ones for free!
Fierce Loyalty - (Lets pretend that my gear is good) and this sounds pretty nifty for my loyal pets to get theyre life back as we run around killing ugly demons.
So there you have it! hope you like what you see. I have not tried the beta so i might change something on the way, but this is what im thinking right now
There are alot of others things i want to try out! but this one is my dream one
I am going for Wizard with massive damage who is fast at killing mases of mobs and used for fast farming, i think this build is best used in coop with people that know and that can count on in playing, coz you need to stay on safe distance and use your spells for fast killing large group of mobs, however you do have Wave of force and Teleport in case ''things get ugly'' i think this is best possible for fast farming Wizard, this is for SC of course.
Now I know this isn't one of the more original builds we'll see during this contest but it is the build I really want to play. I love cold spells, for most games and I've been planning on playing a wizard since I first saw some class footage. Not sure if this will be the most viable build in the later difficulties and I'm worried it will be a bit of a glass cannon but hey, I'll give it a shot.
I'm not the most technical Diablo fan out there but I am a really big fan. My absolute favourite gaming franchise hands down. Best of luck to everyone!! I'm going to start browsing through all the builds that have been posted.
This build is for dotting on the run and mainly a passive build.
Basically should let you keep moving and doing dmg at the same time so basically you just kite and not take damage while dishing it out. While doesn't seem like much burst thats what firebomb is for and the passives boost all the dmg by a hefty amount, i think this build will be awesome for pvp as well with the life regens and constant dmg.
For starters -- judging by my play style throughout Diablo I and II, I'm going to like the Monk class the best and he will more than likely be the first class I create and play through Diablo III.
I've chosen this setup because I personally like to have a very balanced character, I don't typically enjoy a "glass cannon" type of character, nor do I want to create something that is overly defensive but hits like a pillow. I think this setup with the allotted skills and rune selections will be a great setup for a delicately balanced character, on paper. Of course I can't actually foresee how this character will fare in-game, and since I've yet to test the D3 Beta, I haven't gotten a chance to experiment with the early level skills.
Hope this is enough for an entry into the contest, good luck to everyone else!

So I here is my Wizard build called En Guarde!
The build is my first big stab at making a Battle Mage.
My original Character in D2 was a sorceress and back then I was all about range. My taste have changed but for some reason I feel that I'm in dept to my sorceress for showing me how awesome the Diablo universe is. To remake my original character reborn and pumped up for hand to hand combat, I cannot think of a better use of my wizardly awesome skills.
The Main attack Spectral Blade can help heal my wizard so that in the thick of things she is getting her life back.
Arcane Orb can act a bit more like a turtle shell from Mario Kart and help beat mobs at bit, that is how I'm envisioning it anyhow.
Diamond skin to up the melee defense for a quick for seconds and return the favor to the demons.
Magic Weapon to up the juice on spectral blades ability to recover life from attacks.
Arcane Armor for the armor and the rune to up my crit chance.
Wave of force is useful if I get overwhelmed and can create massive havoc in the mobs, and I like that.
Thank you for the opportunity in this competition.
as i mentioned it's a pvp build and it's generally mobility/cc-healing oriented. however i have no idea about it i hope i will manage to play and make better builds
This is the link to my build. I like this build since it gives me a way to gather up my foes to dispatch them quicker and a little LL to help with the incoming dmg. I will more than likely use the Templar for his abiltiy to heal and off tank some.
I made this class thinking about fighting bosses. Using mostly non-aoe attacks to have a greater damage on the boss itself. I used some attacks like the zombie dogs and fetish army because the damage could be taken by them instead of me.
I went with this build as it has
Arcane, haunt
Fire, firebats
Poison, locust swarm
2 types of pets, zombie dogs and queen spider + fierce loyalty
increased damage for 3 of my spells, vermin
mana regen, spiritual attunement
and a panic button, horrify
This will be a good solo build with a templar, or a good all around for playing with friends to compliment their skills.
Hey yall, well this is a demon hunter that i put together with what i think would suit my play style while going through the game. I have not played the beta but i have been following the production of the game since day 1. My skills might not be optimal but i feel like i would definitely put them to the test ,

This build revolves around keeping enemies slowed with caltrops(hooked spines) and AoEing them down with a combination of bolashot, multi shot, and Cluster arrow. The only real drawback would be on single targets and the lack of defensive cooldowns. Although vault may beenough, as the difficulties increase to hell and beyond, I am not quite sure as to whetehr or not this build would continue to be as effective.
All that being said, this build should fly through normal and nightmare difficulties without a hitch.

Point of this build is to allow the Barbarian to move in and out of combat quickly while dealing as much damage as possible. This is a great build for MFing and AoE damage dealing; however, he still is able to take down single targets quickly due to the attack speed and bonuses of the build (if used correctly).
Mouse Skills:
Frenzy (Relentless) - To attack quickly and generate as much rage as possible. Seismic Slam (Stagger) - Survivability and AoE burst damage when needed.
Action Bar Skills:
Ignore Pain (Contempt for Weakness) - Survivability and damage dealing Furious Charge (Stamina) - Ability to travel quickly across a map and to generate as much rage as possible (enemies present) Revenge (Provocation) - Survivability and AoE burst Dmg. Wrath of the Berserker (Thrive on Chaos) - Whole point of the build. This allows the Barbarian to extend the WotB buff and enhance his damage/survivability longer. *
*It is bound to fall off eventually because this build relies heavily on having large amounts of enemies nearby to sustain the buff. Furious Charge can be used strategically to chain attacks between groups of enemies or as burst gains of rage to help sustain the buff.
Passive Skills:
Unforgiving - Allows the barbarian to generate fury instead of degenerate. Helps the barb maintain WotB and deal more damage quickly Bloodthirst - Survivability: this build relies on groups of enemies to maximize its potential, thus it makes sense to leech health from mobs for every attack so you can stay in the fight longer. Boon of Bul-kathos - (30sec off of CD for WotB) This allows the Barbarian to reactivate the WotB with little downtime between each expiration of the buff.
this is a barbarian build centered around healing yourself and regenerating fury. it does have a high level requirement of 54 though. This build would work best with the templar boosting health regen and healing
With this build I have tried to strike a balance between damage output and survivability. As my gear gets better that will gradually switch to more and more outright damage
Having said that, it will probably go out the window when I actually get to play and see how the skills all fit together

This is a pvp stylish build for the WD. It implies on somewhat of an up close and personal style fighting while dealing multiple combatants.
